Great apartment, complex a bit tired in places.
We booked a junior suite for ten days with breakfast and although we were impressed with the suite itself and loved it's facilities (everything from the space to the balcony to the integrated music system!) the resort itself wasn't all that fab. We suspect it may have been a low season thing but breakfast wasn't good, unfortunately, so we ate there for our first two mornings and from them on just had breakfast in our apartment. The breakfast staff were pretty poor. Tables weren't being cleared fast enough so the room was inundated with flies. The "egg station" was barely manned and when it was all that was on offer were omelettes or fried eggs - no option for even a boiled egg for anyone who can't have fried food. The rest of the hot food was unattended, left exposed to the flies and drying up under the luke warm heat of the units. There weren't many options for anyone with dietary requirements but mostly it was the lack of attentive staff that put us off. The fact that they weren't attending to the hot counters and topping food up was a disappointment, as those who arrived anytime after 9 were left with what looked like day-after leftovers from a buffet party no one enjoyed. The reception staff were nice enough but the hotels evening entertainment left a lot to be desired (we didn't stay for it). In comparison to comparable places we've stayed before the room and maid service was excellent but the resort as a whole left a little to be desired. The pools were dirty, we didn't see them getting cleaned at all in our time there, the indoor pool was dark and uninviting and the sun beds were a little rigid as they didn't have the option to adjust the back. Towels were also placed on the few sun beds that did that option and were reserved" from early in the morning, despite there being signs that stated this was against the resort policy. It would have been good to see staff monitoring this. We enjoyed the beach bars down in Son Bou most and the sunsets were beautiful. Son Bou itself is quiet and there isn't a lot on offer as far as bars and restaurants go. Much of the same in each really, which is why we opted for the beach bars mostly, although the Buddha Lounge had a nice vibe. If we were to return, we'd probably do so in busier season, maybe August but overall the island was just a little too quiet for us. Beautifully clean and lovely to look at though. Numerous stunning villas and wonderful seafood restaurants in the Ciutadella and Mahon Ports.
The best thing about my stay was...Room size and maid service.

Great Hotel Great Location Great service
The Hotel is much better than in the pics, great standard, great service, perfect for families, couple and group of friends, cleanliness is impeccable and staff very helpful. A few free activities, great location near the beach, good food at the restaurant, Our room had a great view on the hilly area just behind the hotel. If you stay there, follow the sandy track just behind the hotel for maybe half an hour, after a nice walk on the plains you will end up at sea for a glorious view of the rocky shore, just amazing. Something went wrong with our reservation which was a studio, Alpharooms upgraded us to a junior suite which was really nice and had an amazingly comfy king size bed. Only bad point is wifi only accessible in common area.
The best thing about my stay was...The service offered

We have just retuned from a two week stay at Jardin De Menorca, this was our fourth visit. The Hotel is lovely and peaceful, wonderful staff, lovely fresh food each day. The kids club is great, plenty of activities for them to do. The pools are lovely, clean and safe. The apartments are spacious, clean and well maintained. My son who is nearly four had a fantastic time, i would highly recommend this place for a relaxing holiday, we shall be returning.
The best thing about my stay was...everything!

I have stayed at HG Jardin De Menorca before with my family; this year I booked for a three night stay with my husband and we paid £230 for four nights which is good value. The hotel is very clean and relaxing, very quiet and tranquil. We were put in a room with a dark, share balcony. After a heated discussion with reception, we were moved to a lovely room with a great view and private balcony. Breakfast is vile; cheap cereal, soggy fruit and creepy waiters; the whole eating area is depressing but what do you expect for the price. If you can avoid breakfast and get lucky with one of the lovely rooms HG Jardin de Menorca is a great place to stay.
The best thing about my stay was...Quiet, tranquil, chilled hotel

Perfect hotel for a young family or a quite break
1st family holiday , Belfast
Top class hotel . We travelled in June with our 1 year old baby . The pool area & gardens are just perfect for young children . There are 3 pools of different depths surrounded by perfectly kept gardens . The gardens have plenty of grass space for children to run & play without fear of slipping or sliding on dangerous tiles. The accomodation are in blocks located in a village style around the pools & gardens. The rooms are well decorated & clean with a separate living & sleeping area . The hotel is a gentle 15-20 min walk from son bou centre & beautiful beach ( the hotel also provides a free shuttle bus) . Perfect hotel & location if you enjoy the quiter pace of life or have a young family .
The best thing about my stay was...Gardens & pool area

Hidden gem of Minorca
This little hotel is quite a distance from the beach and bars of Son bou but if its a relaxing holiday you want then this is the place to go. The rooms are very spacious and clean, and sun loungers are available around the pool at any time of the day so no rushing out of bed to get one. The pools are great for families of all ages, having three outdour and one indoor. And there is a great kids club to entertain the little ones during the day. However the evening entertainment is 'limited' and the evening meals are not brilliant, so B&B might be a better option.
The best thing about my stay was...Chilled poolside atmosphere.

Lovely Relaxing Stay!!!
CLAIRE HILL, SHEFFIELD
JUST GOT BACK FROM A WEEK OF SUNSHINE AND RELAXATION - LOCATION WAS QUIET AND VERY RESIDENTIAL WHICH SUITED US PERFECTLY AS WE WERE A FAMILY WITH A 16 MONTH OLD. IT WAS ABOUT A 15 MINUTE STROLL INTO SON BOU AND THE MAIN BEACH. THERE ARE PLENTY OF RESTAURANTS AND BARS. APARTHOTEL WAS BRILLIANT, GARDENS, POOL AND MAIN HOTEL EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS - WE ONLY WENT TO THE BEACH ONCE. BREAKFAST REALLY SET US UP FOR THE DAY - SO MUCH CHOICE AND THE BAKERY GOODS WERE DELICIOUS. SUPERMARKET LOCATED NEXT DOOR WAS WELL STOCKED AND RESAONABLY PRICED. JUNIOR SUITE WAS VERY SPACIOUS WITH MAID SERVICE EVERY DAY AND A SUPERB BALCONY OVERLOOKING THE POOL AND GARDENS. FANTASTIC GARDENS - VERY WELL MANAGED, THREE LOVELY POOLS AND AMPLE SUNLOUNGERS WITH PARASOLS - PERFECT! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE VISITING AGAIN!
The best thing about my stay was...THE RELAXING ATMOSPHERE AND THE LOCATION OF THE APARTHOTEL - GARDENS AND POOL AREAS WERE FIVE STAR
