What a place!!
John looney, Eire
We were given a beautiful 2 bed apartment 113 which was so well stocked with everything we needed, really roomy and clean. The girls in reception were lovely and helpful and the gent who worked in the minimart was so nice and friendly, we will definitely be back to the Hamilton court, thank you so much ❤️
The best thing about my stay was...The room, the staff, the location...in fact we had no problems.

Great location. Not a nice apartment
It's only fair to start with the positives: The apartments are right next to the beach - you can cross the walkway at the back (which looks like a road on maps, but is not - it's a really nice walkway), then over a wooden footbridge onto the beach. The beach is undeveloped and it really is a lovely beach where you can either hire beds with umbrellas, or put down your own towels and umbrellas. The beach shelves gently enough for all to go in and have fun in the sea. Absolutely loved it. Good pool - pretty big and has a very deep deep-end, so you and the kids can safely jump and dive in. Enough beds around it but people seem to have a nasty habit of 'reserving' beds while not actually using them. The pool is also spotlessly clean and has a baby/toddler area and a fountain. The kids would give the pool 9/10. (maybe 10 with a slide in their eyes). The facilities are not too bad. Reception is nice and friendly and helpful. The little on-site shop is great for its size and the bar/restaurant is available (the best I can say about it). Ordering in the restaurant is very friendly but haphazard. If you order meals, don't expect them all to actually arrive and certainly don't expect anything to arrive very quickly. It's not too bad though, because its right in the middle and low-key and the staff are friendly. The locality. It's quiet (but we wanted quiet). Es Pins along the road is a great restaurant and seemed the one really quality place to eat. There's an entertainment complex by the crazy golf which has stuff going on and people milling around until about 11pm. There is not much else to do outside of hotels, but that is one of the nice things about Santo Tomas. There are however a couple of really good shops opposite the apartments - supermarket, souvenir, pharmacy, doctor, and a couple of quiet bars. So all you need is there. Now the 'down' points. The apartment itself The location of our apartment was nice - on the ground floor and having steps going up through a garden to the pool. The apartment itself was grim. It looked like it was last decorated a long time ago - at least ten years, and furnished from a junk shop. It really smelt of smoke which luckily went after a day of having the doors open. The bed and sofa bed were poor quality and uncomfortable and had seriously hideous old covers on them. While it was great to be away, this apartment really made me pleased to be back in a nicer place at home. And the thing is, it would take so little effort and expense to make it into a nice albeit basic apartment. I would be personally be embarrassed to let it out as it is. The experience at Hamilton Court seems to vary on which apartment you get. This was apartment number 8.
The best thing about my stay was...The location and the beach

Accommodation was basic but clean Very irritated by the lack of an electric kettle - they supplied a small furred up kettle to use on the electric hob which could only boil two cups of water - this took ages to boil and was next to useless Water is very hard & unpalatable No TV - not that this bothered us but could be a problem for some people Wi-fi was expensive - no free public wi-fi available in hotel Parking was good You need a hire car unless you intend spending whole of holiday by the pool or on the beach Nice quiet resort with coastal walks available for exercise
The best thing about my stay was...Hearing the Scops owls calling every night close to the hotel

Disappointed that we did not get a sea view room as we did book the holiday very early. Also, a strong smell of drains in the en-suite (we had to buy disinfectant and poor down plughole several times a day), we did enjoy our stay. Everywhere was clean. Staff very matter of fact and not very friendly but otherwise ok. We only ate in the restaurant once but breakfast very poor and not value for money so decided to make our own from then on. Pity there is nowhere to sit outside the restaurant to have a drink as there is enough room for 2/3 tables. Signage asking guests not to use lilos/inflatables in the pool was ignored by some families and we did not see any staff in the pool area during the whole of our stay. The pool itself is lovely and kept very clean and the area around the apartments very scenic.
The best thing about my stay was...Quality of apartment and close proximity to beach.

All the beds in our apartament were very uncomfortable especially unfolding sofa bed where I could feel an old matress, when we walked in to our apartament we could smell dust allover the place. Our balcony was from the sunset side which was great and very relaxing to hear birds singing but between 8-10pm we could hear loud music (entertainment for children) which was disturbing.Short distance to the beach (2min) and lots of places for walking.Overall we've had a lovely holiday, relaxing family time and will be back.
The best thing about my stay was...short distance to the beach, lovely nature and birds singing

Lovely clean and spacious apartments. Well looked after with all the appliances and bits and bobs you need for a home away from home. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Excellent location right in the beach. My advice is, if you are going to go out of season then hire a car. We had a car and it was a godsend as there was just nothing open at Sant Tomas while we were there. Other people staying had to get taxis to the nearest town for supplies if they didn't want to eat in the hotel restaurant. I would say it would be fine during season though as there are supermarkets, paharmacy, car hire offices and bars at the resort but as I said none of them were open in mid april
The best thing about my stay was...Clean, comfortable rooms, excellent staff and fab sea view.

Really great apartments, spacious with a good size balcony. Clean, Friendly staff and the most amazing view of the beach, only 150m away. Great location near to shops and restuarants. the beach is really beautiful and we had a lovely sea breeze which stopped us getting hot and sweaty on the beach! The sea was warm and we had hours of fun on our lilos as there were good waves! Would definitely stay here again with my girl friends! You do need to make sure you get down to the beach realy if you want to rent a sun bed for the day!!!
The best thing about my stay was...The fantastic view of the beach and sea!

Better than we hoped for - fantastic location and excellent value for money

We had a 2 bed ground floor apartment and were delighted to discover we had 2 ensuite bath/shower rooms in addition to a spaceous lounge/diner. The kitchen was fully equipped with all necessary crockery/cutlery as well as fridge/freezer, microwave, multi function fan oven, dishwasher and outside on the patio we found a washing machine! The apartment was comfortably furnished and clean - towels changed twice weekly and bedding weekly and apartment cleaned through each time. Staff were always happy and helpful. We were half board and ate a few times at the restaurant on site - but preferred to dine evenings at the Vistamar apartments down the road (which are part of the same organisation and offer better views and staffing levels when busy) We spent last 2 weeks in August at Hamilton Court and everyone we spoke to had only good comments about their respective accomodation - but as each apartment is owned by different people, it was a bit of a lottery as regards what you got! The resort is beautiful - a minutes stroll to the beach and promenade, and for us the perfect location. No rowdy disos, clubs etc - just a handful bars, shops and restaurants. The ideal haven for a get away from it all holiday - even our boys aged 13 and 15 agree it is a holiday to repeat.
The best thing about my stay was...Beautiful location and SO relaxing!

Booked 2 bed apartment. Pleasantly surprised by generous sized rooms and also kitchen (full gas oven/cooker, microwave and washing machine). Okay decor starting to become a little dated in the one we got - but as all are privately owned I suppose it comes down to owner wanting to modernise them or not. Staff were very friendly. Swimming pool was first class and possibly the hotel's best feature. Ideal for children and easy to supervise them. Booked 1/2 board and meals were taken in hotel restaurant. It operates 2 x menus. Half Board and A la carte. HB is slightly inferior and smaller than the a la carte but working out the price we paid (difference between HB and SC prices quoted) we couldn't complain. Cheap and cheerful I'd say. Drinks can be expensive 1.5 beers and 2 kids drinks = 10 euros. You can order the evening meal as a takeaway and eat in room which we did 2/3 times. Resort itself is small but charming and beach was perfect. Would I go back and stay there again? - Yes - definately

Have been going to Santo Tomas for 22 years now and have stayed in Victoria Playa, Mestrel & Lleberg apartments, Lord Nelson Hotel, Sol Menorca and Hamilton Court. Will say the four times we have stayed in the Hamilton Court have been the best. The Staff are really helpful and nothing is too much trouble. It took us 18 years to try the restaurant as it is a bit out of the way and we never ventured down the steps, but much prefer it to the Don Tomas We now go into Es Mijgorn by bus to the supermarket there and if you spend over 50 Euros they will deliver it. It's a lot cheaper than the local ones. As the resort doesn't really open until May 1st I am not surprised the remark about nothing being open.
