Lovely hotel in a picturesque setting
TPB, London, England
Very nice hotel, we stayed out of season and as such it was pretty quiet however that suited us and the overall grounds inc beach area is beautiful. Location wise is good and only a 10-15 min walk to Puerto Portals where you will find great restaurants and bars.
The best thing about my stay was...The pool and beach area

Peaceful Stay, just what I was looking for !!
Gilly, South Wales
Thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing week at this lovely Hotel, we had booked a Ducal Suite which was situated away from main Hotel itself our initial fear was we would be ignored and left to our own devices... this couldn't have been further from the truth, the staff were exceptionally helpful in every way ( not that we needed much... apart from my husband dropping his sunglasses over the balcony onto a roof on the first night !!! Which we informed the staff about on our way into breakfast the next day and they were retrieved by the time we came out!!!) Our suite consisted of a large living area and bedroom two flat screen TV's and Two bathrooms and a huge bed with a view across the bay to Palma Nova. It was very peaceful and not once did we meet the cleaning staff but the room was spotless throughout our stay. One possible downside was the first night there was a wedding being held just below our balcony this may be a problem for some people but we actually enjoyed the music and the ambience which came with it !!!. The Hotel has Two small beaches which you can access from the main Hotel area, although the steps may be quite steep for some and one is quite rocky, also some of the paths around the Hotel do need a little attention, even I tripped up ( and no it wasn't the alcohol, they are uneven!) Eating facilities are in the main building which is only 100 yards away and is in the same grounds. Food was delicious and breakfast had everything except porridge(but I guess not everyone wants that), all fresh with poached or fried eggs made on request. The Hotel has two swimming pools one attached to the main building which has luxury loungers and one in the grounds closer to the 2nd building which has a separate childs pool. Both were really nice to be around and we never had any trouble getting a sunbed or lounger, however our stay was in June and in the height of the season this may not be the case. Both pools have shaded areas by trees which will be a godsend in the Summer I'm sure. In the main Hotel there is a beautiful decked seating area which looks over the sea, lit up table lanterns.. There is scuba diving from the Hotel and also a relaxation spa ( this never seemed to be open when we were there) which is a disappointment as we both like a massage, however we found many and could walk 1-2 miles into Palma Nova and the bus back was 1.5 euro. The bus stop is situated at the top of the road. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel to anyone who's looking for relaxation, it was peaceful, quiet and totally relaxing, although the staff were their for any needs, they were never intrusive...Thank You All for my lovely stay and I hope I'll be back again... possibly in September !!
The best thing about my stay was...Peacefulness

First class alround

This hotel was absolutely brilliant and surpassed all our expectations. We have stayed at other H10 hotels before in the Canaries but this one is much more personal and the staff can not do enough to help you. The swimming pools are great and were never crowded at anytime - in fact some days I was the only one in the pool. The hotel has access to 2 small beaches which are very secluded and the sea is perfectly clear and warm. The room was a suite which over looked the 1 of the 2 main pools, the whole hotel was spotless clean. The food was stunning - we stopped half board and really did not need to eat at any other time. The breakfast choice is unbelieveable and constently being re filled, with the hot food being hot and the chilled food being cold - sometimes not the case at other hotels. There was also a vast selection of drinks available at breakfast - coffee, teas, chocolate, Nespresso machine , beautiful fruit juices and sparkling Cava. The dinner experience was fantastic with gastronomic delights, presentation was superb and the waiters and waitresses were excellent! My only critisism was some of the path ways were a little uneven and you had to be careful especially with my mother who is a little unsure with walking. Once again I can only say this was the best holiday experience I have ever had.
The best thing about my stay was...The food and the views

Dont stay at this hotel!!! Daylight robbery!
Amber T-Fin, london
I recently stayed at the PuntaNegra for a close friends wedding (the wedding was nearby, not at the hotel thank goodness). I thought I would treat myself and book a seaside villa room for the weekend. Even though the decor is really tired (like it's trapped in the 70s), there is a relaxed atmosphere - although the service is a little too relaxed, bordering on bad! We had a lovely weekend and the wedding was perfect. Everything was going smoothly until I decided to stay an extra night on the monday. So I moved from my seaside cabin room to a standard room on my last night. I was told on the Friday that it was 118Euros for the night. Which seemed fair, even though the room was a bit pokey and really noisy. Unfortunately when it came to checking out on Tuesday morning I was presented with a 300Euros bill for my very standard room. They conveniently have no record of the reservation and agreed price, they didn't send an email confirmation like they did on the first booking. So even though I had just spent over 1000Euros for my cabin stay over the weekend, they held me to their invented 300Euros standard room charge. In terms of service of a four star hotel, I think this is shocking and has totally ruined what would have been a charming stay. I dearly wish that I hadn't stayed at the PuntaNegra now, and won't ever come back. I don't think it was worth the money for such a mediocre hotel. I just wish that 4stars stood for something....
The best thing about my stay was...access to the see

Brilliant Stay at the hotel- highly recommend
Ian Brown, Glasgow
We enjoyed this hotel very much. The room was spotless and the 3 pools were great. The staff very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the breakfast selection was outstanding. I would go back again without a hesitation. They left a bottle of champagne on ice for us when we arrived.
The best thing about my stay was...Nice and peaceful with good staff and food

Relaxing and quiet
Judith Redpath, Northumberland
Very quiet hotel, no children splashing around pool or shreaking. No noise at night either. Fodd and service very good. Exceptional variety at breakfast buffet. Decor a little jaded but luxurious spanish theme overall. Grounds superb and views breathtaking. Would recommend to other couples who want a quiet relaxing time.

My husband and I have visited this hotel on 2 occasions and have found it to be a truly relaxing experience. The view from our room was magnificient with the whole of Palma Nova Bay set out in front of us like a panoramic photograph. We have stayed in spring and winter and found the service friendly, discreet and just the right level of attention. The breakfast buffet was superb and I can't think of any other 4 star hotel where the selection was greater or better presented. We stayed for a week and were able to select a different main course, starter, and desert each evening, the chef is adventurous and each evening we were presented with a Bouche D'amuse before ordering, great fun and a good icebreaker. Late drinks in the bar accompanied by a piano player some evenings provided enough entertainment for us but Puerto Portals is a short taxi drive or 10 minutes walk if you want to go outside the hotel. Palma is 8Kms away and worth a trip, as is Soller and Andraix. We will be visiting again soon and look forward to our trip. I would recommend this hotel to couples who like a traditional spanish environment with the added bonus of every modern facility.

Review of 'H10 PUNTA NEGRA'
Kim Scard, Dorset, England
We have just returned from a very enjoyable and restful stay at the Hotel Punta Negra. The hotel is situated on a beautiful headland with panoramic views of the bay. The gardens are very well maintained and the mature trees offer subtle shade and privacy without being overbearing. The surroundings are SO tranquil you cannot fail to relax - and SO quiet at nightime that sleep is an undisturbed pleasure! The suites and pools were extremely clean and facilities more than adequate. Although the hotel was bustling during the day (with conferences etc) the grounds are remarkably extensive that you didn't feel overcrowded. The staff remained helpful and friendly throughout. Would have scored 5 if the breakfasts had been more varied - compared with similar-rated hotels.

I am actually writing this about eight years after staying here, before owner by the H 10 group, and it is because I am actually going hhere for ten days on sat. 23rd. july 2005 that I am entering this review.

When we last stayed it was late October, and I understand the hotel is still of the very high fourb (5 ????) stay quality that is was then.....being late in the season, the large open log fire was lit with and music played in the eveningd. I recall the food to be personal waiter service and not a terrible buffet associated with so many hotels today...ther personal service throught and turn down bedroom service was what I expect from a good hotel

I note now that dinner is often served by the pool side in summer.
I will re comment on the hotel on my return and hopr it shall still be favourable ans a good as before.

Certainly the helpful reception on booking this property on line have been excellent in response to the reservation and any questions asked.
