A beautiful resort

A gorgeous harbour with boat activity all day. Great restaurants and cafes by the water and spread througout the quaint cobbled streets. A great range of shops with better quality shopping than some other resorts. Boats leave from harbour to Beach Clubs where you can swim, sunbathe, eat and drink.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Pretty harbour area

Kalkan town

Lovely quaint town with shops which don't all sell the same souvenirs. Some lovely things to buy. The streets wind down to the marina and there are loads of restaurants, many with roof terraces. The previous time I was in Turkey I was put off by every restaurant dragging you in and not taking "no" for an answer. There was guys outside, but they happily took "no" and said things like "perhaps tomorrow night" and gave you a hand shake and waved you off. The food was excellent and we didn't have a bad meal.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Lovely shops

Fantastic Location. Will definitely return

Kalkan is a beautiful resort, with lovely restaurants, bars and cafes. We did not have a bad meal, but found it quite expensive. We often ate at our hotel, the Samira deluxe, because the food was good, and the service was excellent and we didn't have to trek up and down the hill. Our best meal was at Sandals on the harbour, for taste and presentation. Our favourite bar was Omars Kitchen, where we also had good - and cheap for Kalkan - meals. Kalkan Beach club is a must, especially if you have kids as the slide occupies them all day. A trip to the gorge is a must too.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The boat trips, the gorge and Kalkan Beach club

a very nice small but everything you wish for town

Once you realise the position of kalkan and accept there are lots of hills or steps i cannot find anything wrong with kalkan as it has more than enough restaurants and shops to keep you entertained although the shops are repetative with leather goods or genuine fakes (their words) and for the youger crowd there are onlt 2 music clubs/bars but quite a few lounge bars

The best thing about my stay was ...

small harbour
