The village of Hisaronu lies inland on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, perched on the mountain plateau overlooking the infamous Olu Deniz’s Blue Lagoon the resort of Hisaronu is the ideal spot for those seeking a hidden Turkish getaway. For all those beach lovers a trip to nearby Fethiye’s beach will be needed to spend the day relaxing on the beach. Once the sun sets over the mountain resort of Hisaronu, the village comes to life with visitors and locals heading into the village centre to enjoy a relaxing meal followed by an evening spent in the local bars and discos. Lively resort with lots of bars and restaurants, only 10 minutes from the beautiful Olu Deniz

Packed with loads of lively bars, clubs, restaurants and shops. All very competatively priced, cheapest pint £1.30 Efes lager. Hisaronu is only 10 minutes (on the dolmus bus costing only 2 Turkish lira or 70p) from the beautiful beach and Blue Lagoon of Olu Deniz. This area has the best of both world's loud and lively in Hisaronu or quieter and romantic in Olu Deniz, all at affordable prices.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Very lively resort with really cheap prices and loads of entertainment.

Something for everyone

There really is something for everyone in Hisaronu. I go for the peace, the local restaurants, local bars and the quiet end of the village but there are also clubs and livelier bars. There are pleanty of day trips available and activities. There is an excellent Dolmus service to nearby Olu Denis and Fethiye at reasonable prices. What makes this so special though is the feel of a village, the local people and the fact that you feel so at home as soon as you arrive. It's a place you can be comfortable walking around on your own, most locals speak excellent English, and although the Turkish have a bad name for pressuring you to buy their products this is not so in Hisaronu, marketing yes but pressure no. It's village feel and the family nature of the locals mean it's a great place for kids too.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The local people, Harrys Bar and the Umit cake shop

Fun in Hisaronu

Hisaronu is a great place for bars, restaurants, shops, local market for all ages and interests with the opportunity to book through the tourist agencies a turkish bath through to a 12 island boat trip. From a quiet bar with the treat of a cocktail to dancing the night away to the early hours, it's all on offer. Fancy a quiet bar to talk in try Happy Harries "Chit Chat " bar, on road to Ovacik, want some bar entertainment try the Q bar in Hisaronu, fancy yourself as a singer then try " Time Out " or "Harmony" Karaoke bars, lLooking for big screen football, try amongst others the first floor above street "heads and tails" or for a quieter friendly bar and a little away from the bump de bump, Harrys. They wil all make you welcome ! Feeling hungry, anything from a kebab wrap on the move, cheap snack style cafes, restaurants providing Turkish cuisine, English, Chinese, Mexican and Indian curry. Missing your English breakfast try Dippy Dollies or Big Brother, Chinese - Shanghai Blues above AZDA, Traditional "The Whiteman" or El Nino ( the man in the hat ! ) So much, can't list them all !!

The best thing about my stay was ...

Selection of bars and restaurants - endless !

Great Resort

Been twice, one of the best holidays ever. Spend most days on the beach in Olu Deniz and town, only costs about a pound each way on the bus. Then back to Hisaronu with lots of great bars and restaurants to eat in. Talk of the Town is a must.

quiet friendly little village

We were in Hisaronu for 9 nights in May and it was still very quiet. Afew bars had entertainment at night inc karaoke and belly dancing. Plenty of restaurants for a meal and average prices. Loads of shops for the size of the village-though a lot of repetitive ones. A good market on Monday. Good dolmus service all around the area.

Lively but overwhelming at times

Lovely area. Found the locals very in your face trying to get you to buy or go to their restaurant. Found the younger turkish people quite loud and chatty. But the older people were lovely really wanted to get to know you. The resort takes pounds and lira so would recommend either. They do prefer pounds though. Most places knew english and eating out was great. Night life was good but not once did you see a drunk person or the police.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The cheapness!

Friendly Town

Hisaronu was winding down in October & a lot quieter than when I went in July. It has loads of bars & is a bustling town and sell decent quality "fake" designer gear at cheap prices. Always go for a Turkish Bath & Massage on your first day.

The Turkish Folk

Very touristy but scenic

Hisaronu village was essentially huge long strips of bars, cafes and tourist shops. Take care not to get ripped off with shopkeepers trying to persuade you to buy more because they have no change etc, stand your ground! Very scenic location, some lovely bars and restaurants with lovely staff if you look. Especially liked the Black Pearl bar, the lady there was so welcoming and friendly even though we only popped in a couple of times. Good bus service to surrounding towns/ beach etc.

The best thing about my stay was ...

A variety of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes.

Great resort with loads of lovely bars, restaurants and shops

We've been to Hisaronu twice now and love this place. As it's a few kms from the coast it's approx 8 degrees cooler so more bearable in the summer months, particularly of an evening! There are loads of great restaurants - our favourite was Cheers which is just by the go carts. They're very reasonably priced, the food is fab and they will do half portions of anything on the menu for children. You can spend as much or as little as you like eating out in this resort, there are plenty of restaurants and kebab houses! Harmony and Fez Bars are both great and Calypso Bar is a hidden gem with live (reggae & calypso) music played between 9.30 and midnight every night. Trips can be booked very cheaply on the main street and are excellent value. Go to Booty on the main street for a fantastic pedicure (£8!).

The best thing about my stay was ...

a very friendly resort suitable for families and singles

very nice lively place.

the local people ar amongst the friendliest folk we,ve met.We didnt experience a lot of "hassle" to go into shops, bars etc.Theres a huge choice of places to eat & we didnt have a bad meal in the whole 2 weeks.Thjere are lots of places of interest such as KayaKoy which is a lovely spot with a fascinating history. The Dolmuses run frequently & you can be at the beach in Olu Deniz in 10 minutes.Fethiye & the harbour is about 15 minutes away. Our favourite trips were to Dalyan mud baths & the jeep safari, both such good fun but be prepared to get wet!!!.

The best thing about my stay was ...

I cant fault the whole place .just a great holiday.going back this year but a different hotel!

Liked the resort, close enough to get to shops and quiet enough to be relaxing

Hisaronu is a lovely little town, I guess it would be buzzing in high season but end of sept it was very quiet and even cold in the evenings so pack jumpers. The location of complex was great and a short walk for the bus to town or lagoon.

The best thing about my stay was ...
