Cheap Holidays to Dalaman
Dalaman is a beautiful district and a popular tourist hotspot located on the southwestern coast of Turkey, attracting more than two million holidaymakers each year. The long stretch of unspoilt turquoise coast is what attracts most people to Dalaman. There are countless hidden bays and coves to be explored, as well as stunning areas of sand. The warm temperatures in both summer and winter make Dalaman an ideal holiday destination all year round.
The Dalaman coastline is one of the most beautiful in Turkey. Many gorgeous beaches lace the shores with the blue-green Mediterranean Sea crashing onto the pebbly bays and golden sand. Holiday to Olu Deniz, once a pirate hideout and now home to one of Turkey’s most stunning beaches, the Blue Lagoon – famous for its calm, emerald waters and spectacular backdrop of mountains scattered with rich green vegetation. The beach has great water sports facilities and shallow areas for children to play safely. For the adrenaline junkies among us, dive off Babadag Mountain and dance in the sky whilst taking in the gorgeous scenery.
For a bit of everything, a trip to Marmaris is a must. By day, visit the beautiful marina surrounded by the Marmaris old town. It’s brimming with character with an ancient castle dominating the skyline. By night you can party the evening away in the town’s lively clubs and bars.
If you follow the coast around you will reach Icmeler, which has a canal running through it and is a real delight for walkers. Discover the old village which is around a 15 minute walk away from Icmeler centre or take a stroll on the beach in the evening to get a beautiful view of the sun sinking into the Mediterranean Sea.
Fethiye is a popular holiday destination amongst tourists, and after being hit by an earthquake in 1958, it has now been rebuilt and is a thriving modern town. You can still visit the old quarter and weave in and out of the cobbled streets and the traditional markets before grabbing a strong, Turkish coffee in one of the quaint cafes. Afterwards head across the bay on a bus or ferry to the nearest beach of Calis and enjoy some lunch in one of the snack bars bordering the beach whilst relaxing the day away under the Turkish sun.
