Laem Tong
Laem Tong Beach is a magical place in northern Phi Phi, ideal for a relaxing and quiet holiday where you need not leave your hotel. The atmosphere is quite the opposite of Tonsai Village and is a serene spot where the sea bed is flat for at least 100 metres until the coral begins, dropping to a large colourful reef that descends to the depths. Although there aren't any beach chairs or sun loungers to rent, your hotel will provide them, with hammocks under the shade of coconut palms. A fair way out to sea there is also an anchored raft, perfect for sunbathing and there are even some exciting activities to get the pulse racing, with the warm, calm waters and consistent winds making for ideal windsurfing conditions.
Bamboo Island, Mosquito Island and Hin Klang can be seen in the distance; three of the most stunning beaches in Phi Phi and the best spots for amazing snorkelling and diving.

As the sun goes down, join in with football and volleyball on the beach for some early evening fun and work up an appetite for the evening ahead. Jasmine BBQ Restaurant is the most popular eatery on the beach, due to its simple, good food of Thai dishes and catches of the day, its great atmosphere and cheap prices. Holiday Inn's Chaba Seafood Restaurant is also good, although is fairly expensive. Further down the beach you'll find Sawadee Restaurant, which offers great dining on the beach.

Jasmine BBQ Restaurant has the most life on this quiet beach, where the beach shack is brimming with atmosphere. The Holiday Inn's Sunset Satay Bar is really something too and is only a 10 minute, uphill stroll from the beach. Enjoy the beer garden accompanied by a spectacular view to the west. Evening activity is limited so take a longtail boat to and from Tonsai Village for a livelier affair, although these are more expensive at night. There are also several ferries a day to Tonsai Village, taking about an hour.
