Sitges Holidays & Hotels

Hotels in Sitges

The scenic former fishing village of Sitges is a jewel in the crown of the Costa Dorada. With lovely beaches, great nightlife and beautiful, surrounding nature, you can enjoy a great Spanish holiday on a budget. With seafront resort hotels, apartments and smaller hotels in-town, there’s plenty to choose from in this charming town.

Where to stay

Plata de la Fregata

This beach, located close to the city centre, boasts gorgeous views of the sea with the scenic architecture of the old town in the background. Should you want to enjoy refreshments after a sweltering day in the sun, there are nearby amenities to do so and relax even more on your holiday.

Platja de la Ribera

The most jam-packed beach in the area, the Platja de la Ribera is great for those more active holidaymakers. With pedalos and kayaks to rent, you can enjoy some fun water sports before you sunbathe on the sun loungers and take in the sights and sounds under the shade of the parasols.

Platja de Sant Sebastià

This busy beach is located right in the centre of town, making it ideal to get to wherever you’re staying. Enjoy some sunshine and relaxation while in close proximity to cafes and restaurants, where you can grab refreshments while you take a break from working on your tan.

What to see

While quite a small resort, Sitges has beautiful sunny beaches. Those beaches provide endless entertainment – especially when it comes to water sports and entertaining. The Port Aiguadolç marina is the place to go to paddleboard or kayak, while the nearby beach of Garraf is best for windsurfing and kitesurfing.

If you’d rather spend time inland, there’s a sprawling golf course nearby which has exceptional sea views. The hills of Garraf, which are a protected nature reserve boast picturesque hiking and bike trails, so you can stay active while enjoying the natural beauty of the area.

Sitges is a great place if you want to take in some culture. The Maricel Museum has an impressive collection of Catalan and Spanish paintings that date back to the 10th-century. The Cau Ferrat boasts a selection of ceramics, sculpture and ancient paraphernalia gathered by artist Santiago Rusiñol.

Nightlife

Sitges is packed with bars and clubs and is well known for its buzzing nightlife. Many bars boast terraces along the seafront, with plenty more venues located in the centre of town. The Carrer Primer de Maig, also known as ‘Sin Street’ is the main party hub. With great LGBTQ representation, there are almost limitless bars and clubs on Carrer Sant Bonaventura. There are several massive nightclubs located outside of town that you can reach by shuttle or taxi if you fancy a more extravagant night out during your holiday.

What to eat

Enjoy a feast of Mediterranean and Catalan cuisine including suquet, arros negre or the local delicacy of xato. If you prefer to opt for some international cuisine, there are loads of Chinese, Italian and Indian restaurants. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes delicious meals in Sitges.

Shopping

With small boutiques and bigger well-known stores, you’ll find plenty of great shopping opportunities in Sitges. Most of the shops are located in the Sitges city centre with plenty of beachfront stalls selling holiday essentials. Start your excursion in Placa Cap de la Vaila, leading on to the four main shopping streets - including Calle Jesus and Calle Major.

A really, unspoilt Catalan town with something for everyone.

It is a superb culturally diverse destination. Very friendly with something to appeal to everyone. It has got more expensive over the years-20 Euros for two pints of lager shandy is a right rip-off. It is home to some superb beaches and designer shops.

The best thing about my stay was ...

It's cultural diversity.

Arrived on Easter Monday, busy in the day but quiet after that. It was fine for us , we were lookin for a few quiet relaxing days after being in busy Barcelona for 3 days before coming to Sitges.Lots of really good tapas bars and restaurants. Cava good and cheap. Had 2 really sunny days and sunbathed on beach and went in sea. A great place for a short break at Easter and a good chance of decent weather.Good bus to airport.

A little gem on the Spanish coast. Fantastic!

Sitges is a great town with loads to see and do during the day. The are several different beaches all offering excellent amenities. By night Sitges really comes to life with it's vibrant nightlife, be sure to take a moonlit walk along the beach after your night out before heading back to the hotel! If you want escape Sitges for a day, take a trip to Barcelona which is only about 30mins away direct by train and tickets are really cheap. Also, if you want post-drinks take out food, sample the delights from the vending machines which offer hot baguettes, burgers and sausages, it's such a novelty. I went with my partner and a group of friends and we're already planning our vist for next year!

The best thing about my stay was ...

Fantastic range of bars, food and of course the beaches!
