Amazing City. Lots to see and new things to find every day

We really enjoyed ourselves here and would encourage ANYONE to go to Barcelona. With the bus tours, really good value and so much to see. Go to Port Ventura (about an hour and a half's journey by train from the passeig de gracia stop. Camp Nou is amazing and the sights you will see are great. (its not cheap though.....if you think you are going to a place is cheap drink and food, it is). if you get the chance to to an Italian restaurant called Made in Italy on the Carrer Ampl street and close by is a great bar called Milk (Carrer d'En Gignàs) with great staff and great cocktails.

The best thing about my stay was ...

so much new stuff everyday.

Beautiful, historic, scenic, great transport systems...

As first time Barcelona visitors we loved it. The Gothic quarter is beautiful and well served with transport services, bars, cafes and restaurants. Eating and drinking out is quite pricey on the main scenic streets (like La Rambla) but much better value can be obtained in the smaller side streets. The quater is compact enough to make it all within walking distance but the Barcelona sight seeing bus tours are excellent with their hop on hop off service. We stayed for 2 full days and nights and feel there's plenty more to see and do.

Lively vibrant city

Buildings are very interesting but felt the area was a bit run down from my previous visit 5 years ago. At times I felt uncomfortable as there were a few unsavoury people about. I would not venture there in the evening especially down the narrow streets. There were a lot of beggars about which I did not loke.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The arcietecture and the cathedral.

Barcelona is a wobderful city. Plenty to see and do

There are plenty of good eating places and pedestrian areas. We used the tour bus which can hop on and off anywhere and whenever you want. It is by far the easiest way to see the cities fund of sights. People were very friendly and we never felt threatened

Love it !!!! Best city for Art,culture and food.Need a few weeks to get round it all.

Can't wait to return, absolutely love it! Wonderful place for walking and exploring. Great for designer shopping if that's your thing, but we spent hours wandering down little streets and alleys. Fab architecture and really relaxed atmosphere.La Rambla is beautiful at night - very child friendly - easy to enjoy everything, even with small child in pushchair. All major attractions were easy to walk to and the tourist buses are cheap and easy ,too. Loads of great places to eat with small or large budget, and picnic food easily found ,and cheap. So many galleries and exhibitions we didn't have time to see.Would need a week at least.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Architecture,arts,food and atmosphere

The Gothic Quarter is just beautiful, the buildings and streets are out of this world. Plenty of restaurants and a few Irish pubs along with a lot of others. We enjoyed just rambling around both in the morning and the evening. There are a lot more people out in the evening, it is much quieter in the morning time so that is the best time to see it we think.

Brilliant City Break

A maze of side streets which are a delight to get lost in due to the choice of bars, restaurants and shops. Liveliness and atmosphere means you dont need las ramblas.

Quaint and quiet

Great central location for the whole of the city and some good inexpensive restaurants and bars. This area is less expensive than many and a 3 course Italian lunch with beer next to the Hotle MtBlanc was only 11 euros. Plenty of shops and quaint narrow street to safely amble round all day and night.

Busy area with lots of shops and restaurants

A bustling area with lots of restaurants and shops. Quaint narrow streets and lovely little squares scattered all around with lots of tapas bars to sit outside in the sun. The food market of St. Joseph, La Bouqueria is an amazing mix of colour.

Wonderful, vibrant city

This region is wonderfully atmospheric with its quaint narrow streets full of little cafes, restaurants and gift shops. Being a central area, it is easy to see other parts of the city by way of their great transport system.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Narrow atmospheric streets.
