Cambrils Holidays & Hotels

Hotels in Cambrils

The charming port town of Cambrils, is located to the southwest of Salou. With a romantic and laid-back atmosphere, this resort is perfect for a romantic holiday or a relaxing friend’s trip away. With lovely seafront resorts, aparthotels and boutique hotels, it’s a great place to go if you want to soak up the Spanish culture and cuisine.

Where to stay

Cambrils

With a beautiful beach and stunning coastline, Cambrils is the perfect spot for a sun-soaked Spanish holiday. With a golden sandy beach and glistening sea, there’s lots to do in and out of the water.

Old Town

A picturesque part of the area, the Old Town is the perfect place to stay for couples. Take strolls down the cobbled streets past the Red Rower and enjoy romantic meals surrounded by historic architecture. Many hotels and apartments offer gorgeous views of the city, all within walking distance to some great nightlife.

What to see

Water sports are at the heart of a Cambrils holiday. From sailing to windsurfing, jet skiing to parasailing there’s plenty to do in the water. You can also rent inflatable bananas, boats and pedalos to enjoy the shoreline from a different perspective.

You can also explore the beautiful Spanish countryside in many ways. For those who enjoy staying active on holiday, you can opt for bike hire. Those who feel the need for speed, however, can go on a Jeep adventure. History buffs are not forgotten either, and can even take in the views in a buggy.

The region is well known for its wine production and this is, in fact, where cava is made. You can explore this more by booking a tour or tasting session during your stay.

Nightlife

Cambrils isn’t the liveliest party town, making it perfect for those seeking a fun but chilled night out as opposed to a more extravagant night out. You’ll find a few cool nightclubs, sea-front cocktail bars and lounge bars. There’s live music, karaoke and lots of atmospheric terraces, where you can enjoy a glass of the aforementioned cava with a view of the sea.

What to eat

Cambrils is very well known for its sensational seafood. Many restaurants serve up the freshest fish, well-seasoned gambas and delicious calamari for those who love to enjoy what the Mediterranean Sea has to offer. With over 200 restaurants and cafes, you will have your choice of delicious food. From Michelin-starred eateries to fast food bars and everything in between, a holiday to Cambrils will guarantee a host of wonderful meals.

Gem of a resort

A beautiful unspoilt Spanish resort idealy situated with Lovely beaches, bays, water sports, good not tacky shops, medium to top end restaurants Generally attracts a more up market clientel or people like myself who Don't want a typical tacky Costa resort then Cambrils is the answer. Ideally situated 1 hour 30 by rail from Barcelona, there are a host Of other resorts easily accesible by rail, bus or car nearby. 2 water parks & Port Aventura are all just 30 mins away by local bus.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Hiring bikes & ambling along the superb local cycle paths

Beautiful Location

I love this part of Spain, I have been in the area many times. Cambrils is beautiful with plenty to do for all ages. If you have children, the Port Aventura Theme Park is very close. The people are very friendly. If you are using the buses make sure you get a bus card at any of the Bus Plana outlets or Tabac shops. You can top this up with 10 or more trips as needed. This makes travel cheaper than paying on the bus. 1 trip can be just to the next bus stop or all the way to Tarragona or Reus. I keep my card and top it up each time I come back here.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The beautiful scenery.

A beautiful, relaxing area away from the hustle and bustle

Cambrils is a pretty resort with a lovely marina and fishing port. Its worth taking a trip on the catamaran for 3 hours or use it as a taxi to Salou. There are plenty of nice restaurants. The old town is worth seeing and have some lovely cafes. Not much english is spoken in Cambrils. People are friendly but its mostly Spanish not many Irish or English tourists. Watch out if you want to use the loo in the Spiritual cafe as you will be charged a euro. Bus service in area is very good. Its very easy to catch a bus and head to Salou or better still Tarragona which is worth seeing and it only costs €3 on the bus. I would go back again to Cambrils. Its a lovely quiet relaxing place if you want to spend time on your own or just relax with friends. Entertainment is very limited though but you can hop on the bus to Salou which is a very lively resort.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The peace and quiet of it, lovely restaurants and the beach and marina.

Ambiente marinero, muy tranquilo, mejor que Salou

Gran descubrimiento!

The best thing about my stay was ...

playas tranquilas

Upmarket

Cambrils is totally different to any other resort we've been to in Spain. It's more upmarket than Benidorm, Torremolinos etc. and keeps out the riff raff, no lager louts either! If you're looking for a resort with really wild clubs that don't close until it's almost breakfast time, then Cambrils probably isn't for you. There are loads of bars and restaurants. One word of advice if you are planning to go to Cambrils - it's probably better to fly into the main airport at Barcelona rather than the nearby Reus airport which is very near the Port Aventura theme park. The flights we were on and the airport were full of loud, uncontrollable, screaming children, many of whom really needed a good wash!!

The best thing about my stay was ...

Cleanliness, not cheap and tacky like other resorts, no riff raff or lager louts

Big beach, small port you can walk round and have a look at the boats. Typical spanish tourist resort, lots of little shops selling jewellery, clothes, shoes etc. Good selection of bars and restaurants, easy to walk round, lots of people on bikes. Very clean. Not tacky!
