Cala Llonga (Ibiza) Overview
Cala Llonga is the largest of a set of coves around the region of Cala d'Or, located on the south eastern coast of Mallorca. The resort's main feature is its beautiful marina where there are a variety of shops, bars and restaurants along the waterfront. A quiet area with a small village atmosphere, it is relatively unspoilt by tourism but offers a top quality golf course, a pedestrianised commerical area, and many beautiful beaches close by.
Who should go?
It's a quiet resort that suits couples and singles who enjoy a relaxing break in the sun, or anyone keen to explore the natural beauty of the local area by bike or on foot. It has a safe, calm atmosphere for families with younger children but it may prove a little too quiet for older children.
alpharooms.com suggests
Hire a bike and spend a day exploring along this beautiful part of the coast, visiting the local villages. The fishing port of Cala Figuera is surrounded by pine trees, Cala Santanyi holds local weekly markets, and Cala Mondrago Nature Park has the island's most beautiful beach.

Cala LLonga is beautiful
Karen Batt, Benfleet, Essex
Although small and reasonably quiet at festival time in August it was livley with a disco on the beach and lovely fireworks over the bay. Not many shops but you can get the ferry to Es Cana, Santa Eualia.

Alittle piece of Heaven
Stephen Murphy, Dublin Ireland
Cala Llonga is a little piece of heaven it has the mst beautiful beech set in a fab location surrounded by pine trees. Their are plenty of restuarants to choose from a few shops and bars. It is not a huge metropolis if you want big and bust go to Santa Eullaria. It is 25 mins from Airport in Taxi €27 and 15 mins from Santa Eullaria €10 in taxi. It is a family orientated resort so dont go if you want madness the bars all close at 12.30.

Perfect for couples
colin aspinall, kelso
Lovely little town with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Very friendly atmosphere and beautiful clean beach with 2 beach bars and cafes along edge of beach. Perfect for children as it slopes gently and no rocks just golden sand. Ample sunbeds at 5 euros a day. Several small supermarkets selling everything from English newspapers to top Spanish wines! Regular bus and ferry service to nearby towns such as Santa Eulalia and Ibiza Town.

Small self contained resort with beautiful beach.

Calm & family friendly location
Maws, west midlands
No busy traffic, small clean town but with enough variety of resturants & shops, supermarkets for your stay. Easily acessable by bus to either Ibiza town/airport or other direction Santa Eulalia by bus or water taxi. Take a 20min stroll out of town down quiet dead end road to Sol de Serra where the Amante Beach Club(exclusive & expensive) is on quiet secluded pebbly beach, great for snorkelling & skinny dipping!

One of my favourite places to be
Mandy , Dartford
We have been holidaying in Cala Llonga for over 13 years and always enjoy our time there. The beach has to be one of the best on the island, with plenty of sunbeds, 2 beach bars and local restaurants and shops a short walk from the beach. The restaurant and bar owners welcome us back each time with great enthusiasm and always provide great service and food. Special thanks to Ramon and family at the SOS and Pepe at Madissons.

It is a quiet resort but perfect for relaxing in the day and local drinks. You are then only 15 min drive to Ibiza town and the big clubs. The beach is also really lovely!

Family Friendly Fun
Robert O'Neil, London
Cala Llonga is a very pretty family beach another world away from the reputation of 'Party Ibiza'. There are many decent restaurants - La Vela being our pick although I wouldn't recommend the resort if you want to party. But if you are looking for somewhere to relax, eat well or base yourself whilst doing day trips to Formentera or Eivissa then I'd highly recommend this option

Lovely Location
Paul, Lichfield UK
We were in Cala Llonga in mid October so it was end of season and some of the bars/restaurants were closing down, but there were still several still open within easy walking distance of our hotel. The clean sandy beach is in a lovely sheltered bay and very safe for children. You can walk out quite a long way and the sea is still only knee height. Cala Llonga is a quiet resort but with just enough to not be isolated.

A great location for a quiet holiday but close enough to lively places if required
Christopher Keary, Manchester, UK
Where to start - beach is lovely white sand very fine. Sea cove very shallow and great for floating on a lilo in the sea... cold in early June though but by end of July toasty til middle of October. Doctor service x 2 within 5 mins walk in resort and two pharmacies... many souvenir shops cheaper than shopping in Ibiza Town or San An. Lots of o.k. snack bars and 5 quality restaurants. Hill/Mountain walks nearby, bus services to Santa Eulalia and Ibiza Town but the water taxi is also fun but don't get the first one at 10.45am as it is packed... best wait for the first one past 12 pm... only 10 E one way or 18 E return. I love this resort, a mix of Spain and the UK in the right proportions and no raucous bars either. You can hire a sun-lounger and parasol for 5 E a day (35 E for a week) or do as we did and but a lilo for 7.5 E and a parasol for 10 E (17.5 E) and leave in apartment before returning home.
The best thing about my stay was ...
The views of the beach, pine covered hills and the choices of activity on the resort from chilling on the beach to hill walking
