The modern resort of Cala Blanca lies on the west coast of Menorca and is situated approximately 50 kilometres west from the capital, Mahon. The increasingly popular resort is well known for its glorious beaches with soft white sands which gently slope into the crystal clear, warm Mediterranean waters, heaven for all those beach lovers. For those seeking a little activity and adventure, the resort is a well known spot for snorkelling and scuba diving and is home to a dive centre, where visitors may learn the techniques of the sport. A trip to the nearby former capital, Cuitadella is well worth a visit, marvel at the historic buildings which incorporate Moorish and Baroque style architecture followed by lunch in the stylish restaurants. Evenings in Cala Blanca consist of al fresco dining in restaurants dotted along the sea front followed by drinks in the nearby beach bars, making it the ideal scene for those seeking a resort with a relaxed and sedate evening atmosphere. The tranquil resort of Cala Blanca offers the ideal relaxing beach break for those seeking the perfect Menorcan getaway. **Please note that the resort is in a mountainous area, therefore there are steps to all apartments and public areas.**

More relaxation

There is no shortage of restaurants and the food is of a very high standard , friendly bars and great gift shops . A more laid back sort of night life , though there are more noisey or what some younger folk might call lively venues to be found in Cuitadella a short 10 minute drive away . Very family orientated resort and less likelihood of encountering the ""lads"", and larger louts , can't 100% guarantee that but so far we have not encountered them in Menorca . Exercise caution as evening falls in Cuitadella towards the sea front bars as there are a few gangs that prowl about that area . It does no harm to read other peoples reviews and to seek out as much information as you can before you decide if thats where you want to go . I know I rate the beach as close but it is a bit of a walk but not to much nor too strenuous and worth the effort to go.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The food the shops and the relaxed atmosphere

Peaceful and very quiet location

A very quiet location no hustle or bustle gentle pace. No night clubs. Only restaurants and bars and a few shops. Prices were very reasonable in comparison to nearby resorts of Cituadella and Calan Bosch. Sandy beach with sunbeds surrounded by a couple of restaurants, the sea looked clear with a deep blue colour.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Beach and very quiet.

For our short break in the Sun - Fantastic.

8-12 Sept we stayed and the resort was quiet but for our; beach during the day, eat/drink in the evening and sleep at night it was perfect, basically enough for what we needed. Restaurants and bars were still open but not busy at all. Cala Blanca's sandy beach just a short walk away is smallish but plenty of room and facilities. Good bus service into Ciutadella and at 1.55 euro each way cheap enough to go and find a bit more life.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Chilled at this time of year

lovely resort

The resort is small, with a nice beach that is shallow for a long way and sheltered, so it does not suffer too much from the wind that you can get in Menorca. The sea also tends to be calm so is good for young children. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, but not so many bars.

KEEP IT QUIET

I SHOULD NOT WRITE THIS BECAUSE IF TOO MANY PEOPLE READ IT AND GO TO CALA BLANCA THEN IT WILL LOSE SOME OF ITS CHARM. THE PINE FRINGED BEACH IS ONLY ABOUT FIFTY YARDS ACROSS, AND IT SLOPES GENTLY INTO THE CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER. THERE IS A CHOICE OF RESTAURANTS, THE SA COVA WHICH SEEMS TO CLING TO THE CLIFF AT WATER LEVEL OFFERS SOME GREAT LOCAL FISH/SEAFOOD DISHES. JUST TWO MINUTES WALK FROM THE EAST SIDE OF THE BEACH IS THE K&M BAR ( KIKA AND MAX A FRIENDLY WELCOMING ITALIAN COUPLE ) HERE THE BEER CLINGS TO YOUR GLASS ( A GOOD SIGN ) AND IS ABOUT € 1 CHEAPER THAN MOST PLACES. THEIR MENU IS SMALL BUT ALL THE FOOD IS FRESHLY COOKED AND THE CHIPS, (IN MY OPINION) ARE THE BEST ON THE ISLAND SERVED.ALSO YOU WILL SEE WHY THE ITALIANS ARE NOTED FOR THEIR COFFEES. (IF I CANT GET A SEAT AT THE SA COVA OR K&M IN FUTURE ITS MY OWN STUPID FAULT!)

The best thing about my stay was ...

Very Quiet and Relaxing

Although I enjoyed Cala Blanca I much prefer the otherside of the Island as this is more of a residential area. There were a few restaurants around the beach and a few bars further up but other than that there wasn't a lot going on. If you want a nice chilling, relaxing holiday I would recommend Cala Blanca. The resort is very clean and the beach is lovely.

Small

Cala Blanca is a small resort a few shops, hotels and a strip of eateries. A small but lovely beach. I think we were in the best part or the island as we saw some fantastic sunsets. Bus and taxi services. We hired a car so we could get round the rest of the Island.
