The ancient town of Ennis is a busy market centre and County Clare’s principal town, full of history, dotted with famous narrow streets and a host of unusual shops, bars and restaurants offering the best of food, crafts and clothing. Surrounded by the River Fergus, Ennis provides delightful riverside walks, with stone sculptures at strategic points and a great water meadow. Its oldest building is the 13th century friary, containing medieval sculpture. Ennis is regarded as the heartland of Irish music with superb nightly sessions and lively annual festivals, as well as the Gló² auditorium, the Irish Music Centre, where the best of traditional music, dance and theatre is performed. The Willie Clancy Summer School also attracts many visitors for the ultimate authentic Irish experience.

Small town, but lovely.

Ennis is a beautiful town with great boutiques for the shopping lover. The people are very friendly. Lots of beautiful beaches and the Cliffs of Moher are not too far away, a definite must see.
