Perfect location for visiting all of Malta/Gozo

Qawra although it has plenty of shops and bars and restaurants, plus a lovely Square to sit and watch the world go by, it is a quieter resort than St Julians, Valletta, Sliema but it is nice at the end of the day to enjoy the peace and tranquility of St Pauls Bay. Qwara is the perfect resort for visiting all of the places of interest in Malta or Gozo and is on the main bus route which is easy to use.....

The best thing about my stay was ...

Peaceful and with beautiful views over St Pauls Bay.....

something for everyone

Qwara is part of Bugiba/St Pauls Bay and not at all far from anywhere (the whole island is only 12 miles long) with easy public transport to Valletta and onwards to anywhere you want. Car hire is cheap and easy (if you're from UK anywy, they drive on the right (as in correct, ie. left) side of the road!) Good shops/bars/restaurants are in easy walking distance, and it is a safe place to stroll around. Valletta is easy to walk and navigate as it is all in parallel roads. Plenty to keep the shoppers/historians/relaxers occupied.

The best thing about my stay was ...

easy and safe to walk around.

Busy and vibrant

Front streets well maintained but be careful in the back streets. Banks are difficult to find and cash points/ATMs are always out of money. Has some nice shops but a lot like the front at Blackpool. Sliema is the best for shopping. Regular bus service but they do get crowded and very hot. Lots of entertainment at night and during the day. Very close to Buggibba and St Pauls Bay. Beach is rocky but pleanty on safe places such as quays to enter the water at. Very few pedestrian crossings but Maltese drivers ignore road signs any way. Very exciting being a pedestrian no way would I drive.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Location cleanliness and bus routes

An OK location

A reasonable amount of small local quality shops, not much night life. Probably no good for the younger set, but OK for 'fogies' like us! One or two really nice local restaurants - particularly 'Peking" a contemporary Chinese, and Venus a chic little restaurant with a limited menu but excellent meals and great daily specials. We ate in both twice as we enjoyed them so much.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Beautiful clear sea to swim in

A quiet part of Malta where you can re charge your btteries

Very friendly part of the island but very quiet. If you're looking for lively then this is not the place for you. It is however a good base from which to go to and from whilst staying in Malta. Tour busses pass the hotels daily along with local buses and the bus station at Bugibba is only a short 5 minute walk away so all parts of the island can be reached easily.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Its quiet and relaxing
