The resort of Tigaki lies on the north-west coast of Kos. Tigaki is approximately 11 kilometres from Kos Town, the islands capital. The resort is in a small valley and has become increasingly popular for a relaxing beach break.

The main attraction is the wonderful, long, golden sandy beach. The crystal clear shallow waters are ideal for families with small children. If sunbathing all day isn’t your thing then take to the waters and try out a range of water sports available at the beach or spend a day of exploring the surrounding area.

A trip to the nearby Alykes is well worth a visit or a trip to the villages of Pyli, Asfendiou and Zipari is recommended. Tigaki is also known for its nightlife, after dusk you can head into the centre of the village for a relaxing meal in one of many restaurants before a late night in the pubs and clubs of the resort.

Tigaki is the perfect destination for a relaxing beach break where the fun never stops.

Tingaki and Kos town

Sleepy town with great beach, good restaurants and people. Micky's bar on beach good place to go in evening. Good base to explore island from. Hire a jeep and visit paradise beach which is really nice, water sports available there, and zia in the mountains for sunset and traditional food. Village has tourist shops. 2euros each for local bus into Kos town which has a great beach to the left of the harbour looking towards the sea. the bus is good way to travel around or hire a bike for the day for 3 euros. Easy to cycle into Kos town. There are roman ruins to explore for free in kos town and an amphitheatre. Lots of restaurants shops entertainment harbour boat trips, a castle, meandering atreets churches and interesting buildings. Take a boat to turkey for a day only 25 euros. Visit bodrum castle they only take 12 Turkish lira each entry or you can pay by card. Elsewhere they tale euros. Taxi from airport is around 30 euros taxi from Kos town to tingaki is 16 euros if you miss last bus at 11 pm

Low Key Resort

Tigaki has plenty of resturatnts and bars. It has a good bus service to KOS for 1.80 euros. There are also plenty of places to buy day trips. The sunset at Zia and the greek night are highly recommended. It has a number of supermarkets that you can buy water and essentials from. There is a very large sandy beach

The best thing about my stay was ...

The friendly people and great beach with a lovely view

Nice family friendly resort

Tigaki is suitable for family holidays, quiet singles or couples. Plenty of tavernas and bars - nothing too noisy. The beach is wonderful - plenty of sunbeds and beach side tavernas.

out of the way

Didn't go into tingaki itself as to get there you have to catch a bus to Kos town and then another to Tingaki or a taxi or walk in about 1 hour.there is nothing around the hotel within walking distance except another hotel maybe 20 mins walk down the beach(turn right out of Aquis Marine)This is good for us as the beaches are quiet.

all starting up for the season

We waren er begin mei 2011. Alles moest nog een beetje worden opgestart, en het was nog erg rustig. Nog niet alle winkeltjes, restaurants en hotels waren in bedrijf, miste daardoor wel een beetje een gezellige sfeer

tigaki is a lovely village with everything you need, bars, shops, restaurants with in a few yards, very compact,a beautiful beach and very freindly and helpful people, they have a cake shop that is to die for, delicious homemade cakes which ive never tasted so good before.had one or two every day and put on weight, would go there again just for these cakes.roosters kept us awake, but we laughed at that, after he had finished the hens started clucking then the dogs started barking, had a few drinks to knock us out,had some good trips out to 3 islands and zia, dont book wiyh rep too expensive, book with local agent by beach.
