Nissaki is a beautiful, secluded resort in north-east Corfu and means “Little Island”, which it was hundreds of years ago. Set on the side of Corfu’s highest peak, Mount Pantokrator, Nissaki is a great place to relax and has a small, fine pebble beach of extreme beauty, offering great swimming and excellent water sports. Nissaki is the ideal resort for those who enjoy quiet surroundings and stunning views and visitors can enjoy walks in the Nissaki uplands, with abandoned villages, wildlife and incredible views extending into the mountains of Albania. There are plenty of tavernas and bars to spend an evening and a relaxed atmosphere can be enjoyed. With no nightclubs, livelier Kassiopi and Ipsos are easily accessible for those who want to party. The beautiful beaches and relaxed surroundings make for a peaceful holiday in the sun.

Beautiful and quiet

Nissaki is a very quiet village with limited facilities. There are a few tavernas and shops. Its is very hilly but with some stunning views. Locals are very friendly and always felt safe.

This is somewhat a remote location, although it suited us as a base for exploring the island by car. The roads in this area can be very narrow in places, making walking on the road unadvisable. It is a relatively short distance to any location in the north of the island, but it does take time, due mainly to hairpin bends and potholes in the road, but worth the effort to reach some of the nice beaches, and see the breathtaking views.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Location and scenery
