The resort of Nabq Bay forms part of the larger destination of Sharm el Sheikh. Nabq is a short distance north of Sharm el Sheikh Airport. The beautiful coral bay really defines the area.

This stretch of coastline has been protected since 1992 preserving the incredible marine life. The diving is spectacular off the coast but inexperienced divers may prefer to be closer to the dive schools of Sharm el Sheikh. Paddling off the beach in Nabq is an unusual experience. The water remains ankle deep quite a long way out. Don’t go too far, the coral shelf drops away suddenly.

Nightlife is limited mainly to restaurant and bars with some entertainment in the local hotels.

This stretch of coast is part of the Nabq National Park – the surrounding desert is incredible and worth discovering. For a longer day out you should head to the historic site of Mount Sinai.

Nabq Bay is a great place for a quiet, beach based holiday with world class diving on offer.

Truley Beautiful. YOU HAVE TO GO The Weather is perfect the the beach was amazing. Nabq bay was really quiet and beautiful. Going to Naama bay was ok a bit noicy for my taste but it a place that you have to go and see at night, vibrant people into clubing they would love it. There is a place called Il Mercato which is really nice it's a place where middle class Egyptian they spend their time there, prices are fixed much nicer and cleaner, the best seafood grill I ate was in this place called One-fish. I would go back

Sharm El Shiekh

Nabq Bay is a great snorkelling area away from the hustle and bustle of Nama Bay. It is much quieter and family friendly. It costs around £10 in a taxi from the airport and is my favourite part of Sharm.

Beautiful scenery and great for a quieter holiday or for a young family.

Nabq (pronounced Naback) Bay is about a 35 minute drive from Sharm El Sheikh City (Only about 15 minutes from the airport though). It is quite staggeringly beautiful, being sandwiched between the Sinai Mountains and the Red Sea. Nabq is an Arabic word for ship wreck and you can understand why when you look at the coast line. At high tide, there is about a mile of water which is only about 1 metre deep and there is suddenly a 20 metre drop off. This has been the cause of ships being wrecked and they are still there to be dived or snorkelled. It is not a shopping centre by any stretch of the imagination. The nearest shopping is in neighbouring Naama Bay where there is a market and shops and clubs. As a tourist area it is still very much in development. The world recession means that there are large numbers of hotels and holiday accommodation which have been started and then abandoned; presumably until such time as the money begins to flow again. This is obviously good news for the existing established hotels in the area.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Out of the way from shopping and night clubs

Sunny, friendly place.

Friendly people, lovely weather. A few shops to peruse. You can also get on the bus for 50p to other parts of sharm. What else could you want. Our first time there but we will be going back next year.

Lovely and busy atmosphere

This was probably equal to the hotel. Nothing really bad. Meals out there were great as well as many shops for anything. Southeners were great and have lasted for a long time. Great experience!:)

Egyptian Encounter

Excellent "under water" experiences to be had, looking at a great variety of amazing fish and various coral.Shops in the area all appeared to be of a similar nature, with the exception of Soho Square which I would recommend to anyone going to Sharm to pay a visit to. An excellent selection of quality shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants, and if you're up for having a camel ride after all that then that's available too!!

Nice and quite area of Sharm with superb Corals and Fishes

Nabq Bay recently developed and currently consists with a chain of many 5 and 4 star resorts - there are several shop outside the hotels on the main promenade - for shopping and night life tourists usually going to Neama Bay. Taxi costs 10USD. If you want to practice your bargaining skills then you need to go to Old Market.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Nice clean sea, corals and fishes

Nabq Bay

Nabq Bay is a really good resort for snorkelling and the trips enable you to experience the desert. Its not really part of Egypt and has been created as a resort to benefit from the coral. That said, there is an Egyptian feel to the area and there are some nice shopping opportunities and the prices are not high.

Great Location

Nabq Bay great place to stay if you in all inclusive hotel, a lot quieter than Naama Bay. Not many restaurants outside that we saw, but clean and friendly place.
