Amazing Views and there is so much to do!

Los Gigantes has the most amazing views! It is very hilly and so there are various high points to see out across the island. The people are so friendly, they really cater to all your needs and they arent pushy. There is also so much to do, parascending, paragliding, jet bike tours, boat tours, fishing tours, dolphin and whale boat trips, snorcaling, the list goes on. The food is also very good! There is a variety of different foods there so whatever you like, you can find. It isn't big on nightlife, there are however a lot of bars with live music and everything is really cheap.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The natural pool!

fantastic. Beautiful

Los Gigantes is a very beautiful place to go to. We went on a small boat to see the Bottlenose Dolphines and whales a great trip. Ask around for the best deals and if there is more of you in a group barter a bit because you can get the price reduced. It is hilly and i do suffer with walking disabillities but if you take a slow walk you can do the hills.

The best thing about my stay was ...

the beauty and the sunsets

the beach at Los Gigantes is very nice the marina wall and the cliffs make a great sheltered bay swimming there great if you don't like big waves and strong currents. lots of great bars , café's round the marina and just up from the beach in the town square bar 23 offers fab Tapas and a few Spanish restaurants . plenty of English owned bars too if your not into Spanish food as well. Player Areana beach is a great if you like swimming in rougher sea's also has lots of great restaurants bars and a couple of night clubs where a lot of hotel staff and locals go and hang out worth checking out.

A quiet and friendly village

Lovely small and friendly village, kept very clean, plenty of places for you to choose to eat out, although very hilly, so not very good for people with walking disabilities, small marina, shop and cafe area,

Nice place

Good sunny south facing resort. Pretty quiet just before Easter. Got just enough of everything for most-but if you want nightlife then it might be a bit low key. Looks out to fantastic cliffs and views to La Gomera. Bit hilly but not too high or steep. Good boat trips to see dolfins and whales.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Sun, sea views good restaurants.

Lovely village, spectacular location, small but nice beach.

Los Gigantes must be one of the most spectacularly located resorts on Tenerife - a sharp intake of breath was our response to those awesome cliffs as the bus descended from the road above! Compact and pretty, the village has several restaurants, bars and a few well-supplied supermarkets. The beach is small but most pleasant, with sun-beds and umbrellas available but not necessary if your preference is for a towel on the sand! Swimming is generally safe and a life-guard is on duty to raise the red or yellow flag should the breakers make it otherwise. Down by the marina a variety of dolphin and whale watching, kayaking and diving trips are available, while from the village one can sign up for a day's walking in the Masca Gorge or exploring El Teide, Tenerife's imposing volcanic centrepiece. Transfer from Tenerife South Airport is available by taxi or by local bus service. Taxi costs about 50 euro each way while the very good island bus company, Titsa, will take you there, via the No.111 bus from the airport to Los Cristianos, changing there for No. 473 or 477 to Los Gigantes, for about 6 euro per person, travel time about 1 hr 20 mins. For those wishing to experience the island's charm in a less lively setting than perhaps Playa de las Americas or Los Cristianos, Los Gigantes is one delightful alternative - just be aware that as it descends quite steeply to the sea the way back is . . . uphill!

The best thing about my stay was ...

Scenic location, attractive developments, reasonably priced with attentive, friendly service.

Not a party town - but plenty to do in the evening

Not the best place to go if you want to mix with young people and go clubbing - but great for the 40 plus people who enjoy a drink and more sedate nightlife. During the day there are plenty of restaurants and cafes open and the marina always has some activity, but again no theme parks or wild activity

The best thing about my stay was ...

range of restaurants

Functional family resort. Some hotels are towards the top of steep incline. General selection of shops. Volcanic beach.

Very hilly

The huge cliffs are breathtakingly awesome. Anyone with claustrophobia may not feel comfortable because they really are big! We were disappointed because no-one told us that the beach at Los Gigantes was closed, and had been for over a year because a rock fall had caused a fatallity on the beach. Our apartment was at the top of Los Gigantes, walking down was okay, coming back was a nightmare, especially as there was no beach to go to.....

The best thing about my stay was ...

watching the sun rise over and around the cliffs in the morning.

The worst and the best of TENERIFE

Spectacular setting, with tacky, really tacky, shops and bars, nothing authentic, but drive five miles up into the mountains and find real Spain!

Pretty village square, quiet nightlife, and easy access to boat trips

Los Gigantes is a quiet village but a nice place to stay if you want somewhere to eat out and maybe a drink afterwards. Don't come here looking for nightlife! Many of the tourists and ex-pats living here are quite elderly, but perhaps it is a bit different later in the summer when more families are on holiday. It's a convenient place for going out to see the whales and dolphins nearby, and also to visit Masca Gorge.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Dramatic cliffs and pretty village square

Too many English Bars

Very hilly resort, but knew that before we went as we visited 15 years ago. Had our belongings stolen at the natural pool. Too many English Bars and not enough Spanish / alternative restaurants. A bit tacky - disappointing. Visited the north of the island the east coast which is much nicer.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Shopping facilities. Food/Drink much cheaper than elsewhere.
