La Orotava Reviews

La Oratova
Clare Milcoy, Westerham, Kent
Picturesque, charming, nicest town on the island and the north coast. Tourists visit to go to Casa de los balcones, an 18th century domestic house that is worth a visit. Cafes and bars are reasonably priced.
The best thing about my stay was ...
architecture, views and atmosphere

A big town on the hillside, a twenty minute car drive from the coast.
Janice Munz, York, UK
La Orotava has some old interesting buildings, both historically and architecturally. However despite its size we were surprised at the lack of choice of restaurants and bars. The town was busy on the nights of the Festival but was very quiet the rest of the time. Shopping was also disappointing. Would suggest a short stay of 2-3 days is long enough. Very hilly, not so good for disabled. Hired a car, but bus service good and plentiful taxis.
The best thing about my stay was ...
The handsome, old town architecture.
