Costa Adeje Holidays & Hotels
Hotels in Costa Adeje
Costa Adeje accommodation takes in everything from cheap hotels to large beachfront resorts and family apartments, meaning there’s somewhere to suit all types of holidaymakers. Many of the accommodation options are no more than a 10-minute walk away from the beach, but there’s a lot more in this part of Tenerife to keep everyone entertained.
Nestled into the southern area of Tenerife, Costa Adeje has an enviable location next to the sea and just minutes from the start of Corona Forestal Natural Park. While it’s a quieter resort than neighboring areas like Playa de las Americas, it’s still brimming with family activities, stunning beaches and stylish shops - making it the perfect destination for a relaxing, carefree holiday.
Where to stay
Playa del Duque
Thanks to Costa Adeje’s small size, there really is no wrong place to stay for your holiday. No matter where you lay your head, you’ll never be too far from beaches, restaurants, and the resort’s many bars. The western area around Playa del Duque is a 30-minute walk away from the centre, but it’s where many of the luxury 5-star hotels live. It feels a world away from the main resort as a result of the way the coast curves its way around, giving it an air of privacy and exclusivity. As well as the picturesque white sands of Playa del Duque, this area sits close to Plaza del Duque shopping centre and various upmarket restaurants.
Fañabe
Just a short walk from Playa del Duque, Fañabe offers a mix of mid-range accommodation that are a little more budget friendly. This is the main hub of the resort, featuring a long sandy beach and plenty of family restaurants, bars and fast-food chains.
Torviscas
Fañabe morphs into Torviscas along the coast, but both areas have a distinctive feel. Torviscas has many budget-friendly accommodation options, and is also the area for inexpensive drinks, food, and a lively night out.
What to see
Year-round warm temperatures make holidays in Costa Adeje a good idea no matter what the season is back home. Luckily, the resort has plenty to keep groups entertained, including more than 10 beaches. These range from secluded coves away from large crowds, to family-friendly beaches just metres away from the bustle of the main town.
There are two outdoor water parks to keep big and little kids amused: one is the Thai-themed Siam Park, with a vertical plunge slide that sends you through a transparent tunnel that looks into an area filled with sharks and stingrays. And then there’s Aqualand Costa Adeje, which features a dolphinarium alongside its huge rides. Those who prefer their days out a little more serene may want to take part in a dolphin or whale-watching boat trip. There are plenty of companies to take your pick from along the central marina area during your break.
Nightlife
Puerto Colon is the main hub of bars and clubs in Costa Adeje, with English-themed pubs and cocktail lounges open until late. Many of the spots include outside areas which adds to the sociable air, allowing you to enjoy the last few rays of the holiday’s glorious sun whilst enjoying a tipple. Discos, live entertainment and karaoke are all available within a stone’s throw away from each other, adding up to one unmissable night!
What to eat
Costa Adeje restaurants range from popular fast food brands to British-themed cafes and international cuisine. There are dozens of spots in the local area specialising in different types of food, so you’ll have plenty to choose from while you’re on holiday here! As well as steak houses and Italian restaurants, there are also a number of traditional spots specialising in local Spanish cuisine - expect lots of fresh fish on the menu.
Shopping
Whether you’re after a bargain or a gift for a special someone, there are multiple shopping centre’s to choose from in Costa Adeje. Glitzy, high-end shops can be found at the shopping centre at Plaza del Duque, alongside a number of coffee shops where you can enjoy a mid-shop refueling. The Siam Mall at San Eugenio is the place to head to for a more eclectic mix of shops, and there’s also the opportunity to stock up on local snacks at the on-site supermarket.

beautiful place, great shops, restaurants and beaches. costa adeje is a great central location and loved it. the locals are extremely friendly and great with kids. fab scenery and so much to do. for designer shops visit plaza del duque great but very pricey, also great shopping and if you have kids a must place to visit is the haribo sweet shop in santiago 5, every kind of haribo you can imagine. a trip to see dolphines and whales is also a must, we went on the eden catamaran and can definately recommend it, saw both whales and dolphines, also great for kids.

Fabulous area
Emma, Costa Adeje
A beautiful place with many shops restaurants and pubs to choose from. It is a quite place and very relaxing. All the locals are very friendly and happy to help. It’s a hilly place but very easily accessible will a bus service and many taxis, which aren’t expensive. The food and drink is great value which is especially handy if you’re on a budget. It was my first time here but definitely not my last, I will definitely be back next year!

Fanabe beach is one of the best in Costa Adeje, the activities are crazy. You can do parascending, snorkelling, waterskiing, jetski, banana...etc lots of fun. The little train is very handy to look around in Costa Adeje takes you everywhere from the beach to the hill for a great sightseeing. The Siam Park is an unforgetable, unreal, scary, funny and so enjoyable place must to try. The best water park ever. Lots of bars restaurants, prices are very reasonable. Sun is always shining.

Nice area of Tenerife - lively but not loud or tacky.
Andrene MacLeod, Inverness
We've stayed in various hotels within Costa Adeje six out the eight times we've been to Tenerife. We like the area as it's nicely busy, but not crowded (in October anyway). It's not for those who want wild nightlife, but for those who enjoy watching the world go by with a drink and good food in a nice area. There are lots of good places to eat that certainly won't break the bank.
The best thing about my stay was ...
It's a nice area with a very pleasant atmosphere.

We loved this area of Playa De Las Americas
Mrs Susan Howarth, Bury Lancs. England.
Costa Adeje is an area of Playa De Las Americas in Tenerife. It is a little way up from the beach and can be quite hilly but you have all the shops at hand, with bars and resturants close by. Buses to Los Christianos are very regular and cheap.
