Corralejo Holidays & Hotels

If you are looking for a laid-back beach resort with white sand beaches and year-long sunshine, Corralejo is the perfect choice for a fun-filled family holiday in Fuerteventura. Due to its incredible surroundings and scenery, Corralejo is a popular destination in the Canaries for nature lovers, with people travelling across the world to visit the famous Parque Natural sand dunes.

Hotels in Corralejo

Whether you’re looking for cheap and cheerful or five-star luxury, Corralejo has a wide range of diverse accommodation options. With a good selection of quality hotels and apartments both in the outskirts and the centre of Corralejo, you can be sure you either have the relaxing experience you want, or incredibly easy access to the resort’s most popular restaurants, bars and clubs.

Where to stay

Puerto de Corralejo

If you’re looking for a holiday location that is predominately apartment based, Puerto de Corralejo is a great option. With stunning views out onto the Atlantic Ocean from your private balconies, this area is popular amongst couples looking to escape. For those that want to island hop during their holiday, the daily boats and ferries also leave from this area.

Playa Visitos Lobo

Playa Vistos Lobo is one of the resorts most popular beaches, with stunning white sands for miles and miles. An ideal location for families with young children, Playa Vistos Lobo has plenty of all-inclusive resorts across a variety of different budgets. If you were planning on learning how to surf or stand up paddleboard during your stay, accommodation in this area often have partnerships with the local schools and training centres.

Parque Natural de Corralejo

If you want to stay within walking distance to one of the islands most popular tourist spots, then you’re in luck! Although accommodation in this area is few and far between, there are several all-inclusive hotels that are as little as 10 minutes away by foot.

What to see

If you’re visiting Fuerteventura one of the main attractions are the stunning, almost-untouched beaches. When it comes to Corralejo there are a number of different beaches to visit, with one in particular that people travel across the world to see. Located just seconds away from Playa Puerto Remedios, in the south of the resort, is the Parque Natural de Corralejo. This stunning National Park and beach feature some of the most impressive, breath-taking sand dunes across all of the Canary Islands. With a true Sahara-like feel, you could spend hours walking across the dunes and still not tire of the view. No matter where you’re staying in Corralejo, shuttle buses will run from the majority of Hotels on a regular basis.

Due to Corralejo’s location and the levels of winds it receives, water sports are incredibly popular on this side of the island. Whether you fancy trying your hand at surfing, stand up paddle boarding or windsurfing, you can be sure all of the beaches along Corralejo will offer opportunities for you to try during your holiday.

For those that want to island hop during their trip to Fuerteventura, Lanzarote is just a short boat-ride away. Thanks to Fred Olsen, you can take the short cruise from Corralejo and before you know it, you’ll see the rugged landscape of Playa Blanca in your sights. With the chance to spend the day exploring the popular resort of Playa Blanca, it’s definitely worth it to be able to cross another country off your list.

Nightlife

In comparison to the lively islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura's nightlife is laid back and chilled. Most of the nightlife for tourists is located on the hotel and apartment complexes themselves, with a variety of entertainment geared towards families. As Corralejo is one of the most popular resorts in Fuerteventura, there are a variety of lively bars and clubs to keep you entertained well into the early hours of the morning.

What to eat

As Corralejo is a large resort, there is a wide choice of bars and restaurants on offer. Most of the options can be found along Main Street or in the old town, depending on whether you want traditional Spanish cuisine, or if you want something a little more familiar.

Shopping

If you want to spend an afternoon or two enjoying some retail therapy, Main Street has a generous offering of outlets where you can pick up your holiday essentials and souvenirs. As well as your standard tourist stores, there are a number of designer outlets like Mango and Benetton. For those after a more unique shopping experience, the side streets in the Corralejo’s Old Town have some incredible, independent boutiques.

Amazing!

One of the best places we have been on holiday yet! Gorgeous weather, especially for february! Every day was scorching hot sun. The sea was too cold for me however but I knew this before I came. The prices for eating out are very cheap, I would recommend Poco Loco, in the main street, its a buzzing atmosphere, amazing food and so much of it at the best prices we could find! Cant fault Corralejo!

Clean and compact

The busiest part of the quietest "tourist" island corralejo is brilliant!!! Not many pubs but some nice chill out lounges loads of restaurants and friendly as you like! Great beaches pick which style you like there are so many and gorgeous harbour area. I recommend the Italian restaurant opposite benneton and The Venue for night times also for completely chilled times la sirena for food then through the harbour down to the very end is a new cocktail lounge I think it's called fresh? But absolutely stunning roof terrace sofas and iced drinks. Fantastic

The best thing about my stay was ...

No drunken idiots being horrible just chilled people eating sunning and having a good time

Lovely place to stay for families

Really nice place to stay with excellent beaches both in the town and a short hop away. Baku Water Park was a big hit with kids. Only negative I found was the amount of people on the street trying to entice you into restaurants/bars. Stayed here a few years ago and don't remember finding it as bad.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Nice coffee shop we found on the main strip called "The Bakery" - really good coffee!

excellent

Having been to Corralejo for the 6th time we find it brilliant for restaurants and bars. It also has a few shopping centres and plenty of shops to choose from. There is also a market which is on a Monday and Friday. There is the Baku Waterpark in Corralejo, a train ride which takes you round Corralejo including the back streets. There is also the beach on your doorstep.

Corralejo is the best resort

Lots of fabulous uncrowded beaches with yellow sand and the Dunes are spectacular. There's a variety of water sports available. Plenty of shops for the shopaholics. A great variety of restaurants some with live entertainment. Corralejo is relatively flat and easy to get around. The town is kept clean and you are not pestered by street sellers. It has a good mix of nationalities visiting so its not a 'little Britain' or a 'little Germany'. The best resort on the island.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Its friendliness and the variety.

extremely friendly, laid back, the right balance of bars, shops, restaurants, all you want in the main strip. Not rowdy, no lager louts. Shops a mix of the usual holiday bits plus good clothes shops, perfume, beautiful crafts. Bars a mix of everything, plenty of live music. Spent a day at the dunes beach, absolutely fantastic. (taxi 4euros from apartment) A really wonderful place all round
