All inclusive should mean exactly that, I have stayed here on numerous occasions for the last 10 years, I recently came back beginning of June and have to say the standards have plummeted, the food isn't for English holidaymakers when most of them were, it had less choice and the quality was poor and most of the time it was cold, having to pay for virtually none existent Wi-Fi and use of the gym, the queues for the bar was like a car park queue and was only allowed two drinks at a time, shortage of staff they said, so to finish I am very sorry to say .... I won't be going back again unless I see some decent reviews soon.
The best thing about my stay was...The look of the hotel, definetly not a 4 star

Slipped in standards in the last two years

I have stayed at the Bali on quite a few occasions over the last couple of years, I feel that the standards have deteriorated somewhat, all inclusive used to mean just that but now they have changed quite a few things.

Gone down hill

After a good stay last year with great food and service we returned home this year feeling very disappointed. The hotel closed one of the 2 bars completely and the lack of staff caused massive queues day and night. We were looking forward to the food again this year but unfortunately, that had less choice and the quality was poor, we decided to eat out 2 of the 3 nights even though we had the all inclusive package. So to conclude, and I am very sorry to say .... we won't be going back next time. Perhaps The Grand Bali Hotel set the bar too high last year but the drop in standards was very noticeable. The Hotel is still clean and tidy and would be best suited to the younger less fussy consumer.
