A lovely hotel in a great location
Debi, Wrexham, Wales
I spent a couple of days here with my daughter, during a trip to Menorca. The hotel is newly refurbished to a good standard. It's very clean and modern. The view from our room was very disappointing as it looked out over a flat roof. If they had put a few tubs of flowers out there it would have been acceptable. However, we spent hardly any time in the room as the weather was great and with the hotel being so close to the beach and having such a nice pool, we were outside all day. We stayed on an 'all inclusive' basis. The food was lovely although I think it would be a bit boring if you were there for more than a few days as each meal was a variation of salad, fish and chicken. The drinks were OK, all local brands, but a good choice. Most of the staff were pleasant and the cleaners worked very hard. There was always somebody polishing the glass and doors.
The best thing about my stay was...The pool and location of the hotel and the modern decor.

Nice quiet location
I went here with my partner for a 4 night stay in late May 2016. We are in our late 20's and would say that we were definitley in the minority with about 75% of guests being ages 60+ though this didn't really bother us. Our room was on of the recently added and couldn't be faulted apart from a very small balcony. Was immaculately cleaned everyday and very spacious. The hotel its self was equally clean and fresh. Food... This is a hard one as while 80% was really nice it definatley felt like the same thing every day! Also desserts are poor and if like me you don't eat dairy you are stuck with only water melon everyday. The pool is nice enough though quite chilly but plenty of sun loungers without any problem. The beach is a 30 second walk from the pool and is beautiful. You do need to pay for loungers though €15 a day (think was for 2 loungers though when we got told we just headed back to the pool). The absolute worst thing about this hotel though, and why we would never go back again is the entertainment. Don't expect anything to start till around 10/10.30pm and even then it isn't worth the wait. When we stayed this varied between a very forced "jazz double act" to a "disco" which involved a cd of random tracks being played in the background, most of which were unrecognisable. The final night for us topped it all when everyone waited all night to play a single game of bingo which was awfully organised and despite the tickets costing €2.50 carried a grand prize of €10!!!! Overall nice quite location in a really lovely spot though suited to older guests who aren't bothered about anything to do in the evening.
The best thing about my stay was...Great beach location and quiet spot

5 nights at the Globales Lord Nelson, Santo Tomas, Menorca.
Mark W, Midlands, UK
I got this at a good price for All Inclusive! Pro's Very friendly staff Decent buffet style help yourself meals Great Location very very close to a superb beach!! Santo Tomas is small but great if all you want is a few bars, few restaurants and a great beach Great daily maid service which made up the room and changed towels Con's Not really all inclusive as you have to pay for the safe in your room, WiFi access, ice creams, crisps and snacks and anything other than local cheap wine and beer and the wine is not good... Small room and very small shower Having mentioned the con's we had a great 5 days here but be aware that all inclussive in this hotel does not mean all inclusive...
The best thing about my stay was...The location of the Hotel to the beach, the beach itself

Nice hotel, room for improvement
James, West Sussex
The hotel was kept very clean and tidy. Staff helpful however favouritism clearly shown to Spanish locals. Personal hygiene of the male staff in the restaurant is somewhat to be desired! Food was very good, lots of choice, could of been a bit hotter. Our room was kept clean with fresh towels every other day. Beds were very hard with lots of springs in the ribs. Bit of WD40 on the patio door to the balcony would go a long way. A lovely beach is just a stones throw away. If you want a quiet week away by the pool this is the place. However if you want to do more hire a car as you may get bored.

Unbiased Review Globales Lord Nelson Hotel, Sant Tomas
Mike , Billinge
The hotel staff are lovely and very customer focused. The hotel itself is very clean and modern however the bathrooms and in particular the showers are too small. The food is plentiful and in the main of above average quality but the Achilles heel seems to be that it is mostly pre cooked and therefore when actually eaten, due to inadequate methods of keeping it hot, it is likewarm. The pool area is nice and scrupulously kept and sunbeds adequate. The animateurs are enthusiastic and mention must go to the only female animateur who was very nice with a great character (she had to have to put up with one of the male animateurs!!!). Overall with those minor improvements we would stay again.
The best thing about my stay was...The place itself was well kept and immaculate and tastefully developed

Hotel spotless with lovely staff. Food of a good standard. Pool great. Room small but pleasant with nice bathroom cleaners great. Bed little hard no fridge in room. Great not to worry about towels on sun beds. Nice family hotel mainly Italian but all staff spoke good English. Drinks good but in plastic cups which is fine but at night a glass from the bar would be be an improvement. Loved our weeks holiday there. Thank you.
The best thing about my stay was...Relaxed atmosphere great location wonderful staff

Learn Italian before you go ...
Ask for a bungalow instead of the hotel , much bigger rooms . As the title says learn Italiano before you go as everything is in Italian . On the plus side the food is good and the staff are helpful and a good location near the beach . To some up the hotel is owned by Italians and the resort is a bit quiet but it's ok for a week .
The best thing about my stay was...Weather , food and the beach.

Hi Lord Nelson hotel
Penny Heywood, Stafford England
A very friendly hotel, and spotlessly clean, and a lovely mixture of good food.
The best thing about my stay was...the relaxed atmosphere, and friendliness of all the staff. This is an Italian owned hotel, and we were there when Italy played England in the world cup, and we all enjoyed ourselves.

Had kids aged 15, 12 and 7. All had a great time. Apartments cleaned daily, laundry changed every second day. Very spacious as well. The oldest kid could have got bored in the resort if it wasn't for the excellent entertainment staff at the apartments. They made sure there was stuff for all the kids, no matter the age, every day. Rifle shooting, archery, pistols, mini golf, table tennis, water polo, french boulles the list could go on and on. Even the adults got involved(competitively so). Never made as many friends on holiday in my life and all due to the staff getting people participating. Well done Alex and Carrine. Not a lot of nightlife but that suits me fine. A good few restaurants but I recommend going to the ones nearer the beach. Some on the main road seemed to serve a lot of frozen stuff rather than fresh. All reasonably priced though. Supermarket was a wee bit expensive but take your toiletries and creams with you and it's fine. Don't understand the muppets that get to a hot place then expect to buy suncream cheap!!! Also, take a can of fly spray. Give it a squirt once a day all through the apartment, before heading out for the day, and I guarantee you will not be bothered by the mozzies at night!! Hire a car. It's cheap. Beach is awesome. Beautiful and safe. All in all a great holiday. We had one problem. Booked a trip to the Water Park. Bus never turned up. After half an hour the hotel reception arranged a taxi to take us there and pick us up again. No charge. Can't beat service like that.
