Stayed here for 3 nights in room 330. Great location clean and a good breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly. Our room was large with a great benefit of a small kithenate. Would stay again.
The best thing about my stay was...The use of the 2 rings for cooking and the central location.

Great location. Reception staff lovely.

My son and I stayed in a twin studio room. The beds were very springy, sqeaked when you moved and dipped in the middle. So not the best nights sleep. The breakfast was mediocre plenty of cheese, meats, cold boiled egg, cereals, yoghurt, fruit etc. But it took it's toll after day 2. If you want toast, put it in the toaster first before you grab tea, coffee or other food. It takes forever to do a slice of toast. Very spacious with a fridge, minibar (no price list so didn't take anything), coffee maker. Had to ask for a kettle (I suggest taking coffee or teabags. Not supplied) plenty of plates, cutlery etc. Cold tap water is ok to drink. Don't buy bottled it's a rip off! Be prepared for the sulphar eggy smell when you use the hot water. It's normal! Great location to the city centre. I recommend going to the tourist info to book trips. Try and stick with the smaller companies. The smaller the bus the better the experience. We used Sterna for one. It felt like a very personal day out. Another trip was with Bus travel. Lovely company too. Try to keep it local and avoid the large coach trip!
The best thing about my stay was...Loved it all

Lovely hotel in the centre
Location could not be any better, it is literally in the middle of everything. Friendly staff. Lovely room with plenty of space. The only negative side was the breakfast, which had the poorest selection I have ever seen in hotels. Luckily there are plenty of restaurants and cafes right outside the hotel (even Dunkin Donuts for cheap bagels), so after the first morning we just went out for breakfast. No big deal. Would definitely stay again.
The best thing about my stay was...Central location, cute room

Great hotel in the heart of Reykjavik
Very pleasant staff, always ready to help. You can book your excursions at the desk, though we had booked our before leaving the UK. However, we observed that the staff were attentive to requirements and kept guests informed when the weather caused issues! The rooms were clean and tidied on a daily basis. The first couple of days we noticed the smell from the hot water, which is a odour of Sulphur Dioxide (stink bombs), but not too bad. This is caused by the geothermic heating rather than drains as we had read on other reviews. On site restaurant is good and the food is nice, but there is plenty of choice on the main street into town so don't limit yourself!
The best thing about my stay was...Comfortable, clean and very central hotel

Great stay in the heart of the city
We had a wonderful 3 night stay in this excellent hotel. We had a large apartment for the two of us and it was so comfortable. The staff are fantastic. The location is brilliant on the doorstep for everything. The continental breakfast was limited in choice but good on quality with nice meats and cheeses, good breeds and really excellent coffee. The onsite Scandanavian restaurant is superb...we ate there two evenings and the food and service was terrific. We booked all our 3 excursions at the hotel receptionist Helga which I would highly recommend doing as you have more flexibility and pay on check out. Iceland is a truly wonderful experience.
The best thing about my stay was...The 3 bed roomed Apartment for two of us...very comfortable!
