Upon arrival the reception and lobby area looked amazing and beautifully decorated for xmas. Checking in was easy enough. However I would have liked some information about the facilities (swim times, soft play times food court times etc). All I was told about was the times of the breakfast. I had to prompt the receptionist for info. The room was basic but cosy. One of the lights wasnt working which made the room very dark. I was happy to see a kettle in the room. A little disappointed there was only 2 small paper cups. Tea and coffee sachets were in the room but no milk sachets/powders and no spoons! Beds were very comfortable which is perfect after a long day in the park. However one very frustrating thing we noticed on our first night is that even with the door shut and light off, the fan in the bathroom ran 24/7 and there was no way of us turning it off. However this was our fault for not bringing it to the receptions attention. Breakfast buffet had a good selection and we never had a problem with getting a table. The area was maintained clean and tidy and the staff were very polite. We had an evening meal on one of the days which we found to be very expensive for a very limited choice. 1 of our party was vegetarian and there was one mushroom dish for them. Pool area was brilliant which we used on the day of our final stay. The attendant informed us towel hire was 2 euros each but they can be kept hold of for the duration of our stay. Soft play was also a big hit for both of my children and helped kill a lot of time when we checked out and was waiting for our taxi On our 3rd day the receptionist was very attentive (didn't catch his name) and helped me with my enquiry. I think staff should patrol the corridors more frequently as when we arrived there was a dirty nappy placed outside one of the rooms doors and it was still there the next morning. Also a bowl of half eaten chips was randomly placed outside my room door one evening.
The best thing about my stay was...The pirate theme and Christmas decorations

Had an amazing long weekend at the explorer hotel, very family friendly and great location with free shuttle bus every 15mins, pool is very good and clean my little princess enjoyed the slides. The breakfast was very good with lots to choose from. The Val de Europe shopping mall and village is only 10mins by car and worth a visit. The supermarket is a day out on its own lol we stocked up sandwiches and snacks for the hotel and Disney as it's quite pricey.
The best thing about my stay was...Location and pool

Lovely place for all of the family.
Tony Edgcumbe, United Kingdom
The Explorers Hotel is completely geared towards catering for families with excellent facilities to keep the little ones amused. Food and drink were not as overpriced as some other locations and were in line with the expected 'hotel inflation'. Breakfast was a bit of a scrum but still well organised with a huge selection to choose from. The shuttle service to Disneyland Paris was excellent, very busy, but frequent with short journey times.
The best thing about my stay was...The facilities and location were the best things going for this hotel.
