The best thing about my stay was...Best

Nightmare from beginning to end, pay extra, stay elsewhere
We had stayed here years ago so decided give it a try again. We knew about heart attack hill already, but a taxi only costs 4€ so this didn't bother us. But as other people have stated, I would not recommend this for families or the elderly. On arrival we went to the next hotel to check in, there was my son wife and daughter, when we went to check in, they got me give them the €150 deposit, give me a deposit receipt, and then told me the room was not ready for an hour, we were tired but we wanted to get something eat, we came back to check in two and a half hours later, it was red hot and we just wanted get in or room, we were served by a female Spanish receptionist who said the room was not ready and said to me wait one moment Thirty minutes later!! After I watch her completely ignore me and hand about seven other parties their keys, I called the original make receptionist and asked what was going on and I had worked over three hours for my keys, he got on radio and then give me a key, of we went to the flat, the next nightmare is the lifts we were on 11th floor, you can wait up to twenty minutes to get one, we got to room opened the door, and it looked as though it had received a quick clean, the room was in serious need of refurbishment, but we were to tired by now, there was two single beds and a pull down warn out sofa, , it was already all pulled down and had a sheet on, I pulled the sheet of to look at mattress and I could not believe my eyes, it was covered in pee stains, sick stains amongst others, , the air conditioning was the wrist I have ever known, there is no safe in the room, we could not sleep at night the room was that hot, when the cleaner passed we insisted on need protectors to be put on signal beds which she did and showed her the sofa mattress which had bed bugs, she said she did not have protectors for the sofa and it couldn't be changed. The staff and cleaners and security were as unhelpful and miserable as can be, we honestly were made to feel as though they didn't want English people there as they were fine with the Spanish. I could go on more but I don't think these apartments deserve any more of my time with a review. I seriously recommend you pay extra and stay somewhere where they actually want your business and have good hygiene, I came back with 7 bites from the bed dog, absolutely the Worst apartments ever . Never again

The best thing about my stay was...Night life

Overall the apartments were lovely . The rooms were large and nicely presented with stunning views of Benidorm. The Apartment block its self was basic and the pool very small and sadly closed during our stay. We stayed for 4 nights and didn't see a room maid at all. Would have been nice to have fresh towels tho. The apartments are a little out the way and set back up a pretty steep hill but we found a taxi from the beach was only a few euros so not really a big problem.
The best thing about my stay was...The best thing about the apartments was definitely the view from our room on the 26th floor!

Got there and they had cancelled 2 rooms with a mix up due to alpharooms getting bookings mixed up. So wasn't a good start.
The best thing about my stay was...Not a lot

We stayed as group of 3 ladies on a hen Party our friends were in the hotel just in front of these apartments. We were amazed how clean and spacious they were. Pool was not in use maybe because it was April? But could use pool at sister hot just infront.
The best thing about my stay was...Price and use of sister hotel.

Not quite up to previous visits
AWG, Staffordshire UK
Third year at these apartments. While the staff are excellent as always the place is perhaps getting a little worn. Had to call engineer to fix heating. Had to ask for new TV aerial cable. Sliding balcony doors not shutting properly and roller shutters faulty. Matching cups and some saucers would have been nice. At one point only one elevator in service!!
The best thing about my stay was...Reasonably free from drunks and noise

Clean modern apartments with all the facilities of the hotel next door, maid service everyday, great view over Benidorm, the only negatives was the distance from the centre but if you are young and healthy a good walk, only one key given on arrival but can give keys into the hotel next door
The best thing about my stay was...The views over Benidorm

The apartments are very close to the palmbeach hotel wher your meals are served. You can use all the facilities of hotel. Palm beach is a little worn but still good value. Don Jorge apartments appear to be fairly new. Ours was a 1 bedroom apartment for 4 adults sharing. I would advise you need a 2 bedroom to have even a little privacy. Fairly basic but adequate. We had only 2 coat hangers for each person. Otherwise all right for a weeks stay. Probably reasonable value for money. Remember you are at the very end or start of Benidorm up very steep hill. I personally would not stay there again but will visit Benidorm for sure.
The best thing about my stay was...If you are booked in to don Jorge apartments you use restaurant in Palm beach hotel. food was excellent.

Beware of Security Deposit !!!
Cliff Roberts, Birmingham
Big thing that let this place down was being lied to about the Security Bond. I have in writing from both Alpha Rooms and from Don Jorge themselves that the security deposit for each room was Euro 150. This is understandable and accept that some "groups may cause damage". But on arrival the staff were rude and demanded Euro 300 per room. Some of our group handnt got Euro 300 available on their card so other members had to chip in. BE AWARE OF THIS as they dont tell you that! ALSO, which is even worse.....be aware that all of your group have to meet at reception and have to check out together at the same time...and they then go check all rooms together. WHAT IS VERY NAUGHTY......is that if one of your rooms has damage (and yes we know they shouldnt) but all our 5 rooms would have lost Euro 1500....the whole deposits are lost......thats big money......luckily we were ok as our group have been doing this for last 5 years but to charge so much money and have the facility to take the whole lot is disgusting. Yes causing damage to rooms is disgusting - which we would never do - but if one of the group members did, all of the other rooms that were left ok, would have to pay - THATS WRONG ! And if staff werent so miserable and explained this to you - that might make it easier - Take it or Leave it................next time we'll leave it - would never return! I emailed ahead and explained we were a group of 13 lads on a football trip and not a stag do and that was accepted - so there is no excuse from the hotel........
The best thing about my stay was...Clean and spacious
