Hotel Diana

Nice hotel, room was fine, but no view from the room. towels and bedding was changed everyday, room was clean and tidy...Minibar available, but without prices!!. Food in the rooftop restaurant was ok, but limited. Breakfast was pretty good, all the usual plus bacon&eggs. Reception staff were fine and quick, also ordered us a taxi back to the airport Fuimicino for Euro50. Rome is magic, but be very aware of the local bar/restaurants, as there prices are extortionate. ie cappicino 4 euro, Beer=7 or 8 Euro. nice little cafe/bar however down the side road of the opera house, good prices and service. You are in walking distance to nearly all the sites of rome from the hotel.

Hotel Diana

Good location, 5 mins walk from the Termini so you can easily catch the Express train from the airport, which we felt was the best way to get into Rome. There appear to be some very flexible taxi prices with some friends of ours being asked for 75 euros each way! We bought our return ticket at the same time which saved trying to find the kiosk at the Termini. Don't forget to validate your ticket in the little yellow machines before geting on the train. The hotel is easy to find. Within 10-15 minute walkng distance of most of the main sites {apart from the Vatican} and ideally suited if you wanted to use the metro or buses. Room was clean and comfortable, helpful reception staff. Breakfast was typical continental, not brilliant but not awful either, plenty of it and good coffee. Large choice of restaurants nearby. If you wanted a small supermarket there was a reasonable size one 5 minutes away in the Termini. If I returned to Rome I would book there again.

Hotel Diana

The hotel was located round the corner to the Termini station, so we caught the bus from airport ( Approx 8 eUROS). The hotel was lovely. Great room ( all americans would think tiny but ok to us. V. clean and v. comfortable. Usual stufftowels, hairdrier toilertries etc. The Air- con was terrific we had to turned it up as we got got cold!! Ninety degrees outside about 10 in our room! Location super. Gt resturants nearby and shops if you want. Could walk to most places but caught bus to Vatican from station (one Euro) Tickets also valid on metro. V. clean and cool. Roof terrace was great, made alot of use of it at approx 4pm Gin and tonics approx 6 Euro. Breakfast far better than most I have had in Europe. My friend will aslo recommend this hotel. Staff great and arranged taxi from homeward journey. You could do a lot worse and I would return. happy hols. Rome is a beautiful place.

Review of Hotel Diana

The hotel room was a little on the small side, and is ideally situated within walking distance of all the sites. the rooms are quite small but very clean indeed! the breakfast was plentifull. The only downside of our weekend stay was the taxis, beware of getting ripped offf!!! as we did on a couple of occasions, the taxi driver even took us to the wrong airport where we only had minutes to spare! Would definately come back to stay at this hotel.

Review of 'HOTEL DIANA'

Hotel location was in our opinion fantastic. No need to waste money on expensive taxis or even the buses, with a decent pair of shoes on we walked to every major attraction from the hotel, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, The Vatican and the Colluseum.
Area felt safe to walk (located on 'the nicer side' of the train station.)Sometimes we got lost on the way, but that was even a pleasure, walking through the cobbled, cafe lined narrow streets.
Hotel was clean, sheets and towels changed daily.Staff friendly and attentative.
Breakfast was plentifull, bacon, eggs, bread rolls, fruit, toast, all you need to set you up for the day.
Must admit it was a bit noisy first thing, traffic noise, but you are in the city and you intended to get up around 7 anyway, you have a full day ahead of you !!!!!!
In our opinion, a good 4 star hotel, we didnt want to leave and will be back, we too threw a coin in the Trevi fountain.
Enjoy.

The hotel location is excellent, only 2 blocks from the train station. It has a roof garden where you can have drinks or eat dinner. The view is wonderful. We would stay here again.

Review of 'HOTEL DIANA'

The hotel was very well placed for sightseeing, with the advantage of being near the Termini for the airport transfer. The rooms were adequate, quite small but very clean. Unfortunately we were on the 6th floor where there was an ongoing maintenance program, this was not a major problem. Our rooms were on the street and this proved to be very noisy, especially early morning. We could have asked for different rooms but after all you only sleep in the room, you don't spend much time in your room on a City break. The breakfast was just OK. The hotel was, in our opinion, a low 4*. We got the impression that it was used for large tour groups. For the money we paid it was quite good value.

Review of 'HOTEL DIANA'

Hotel Diana is in a very convenient location: 5 minutes walk from Termini station, where our bus from Ciampino Airport arrived, and where one can get the metro (which we found safe and quick). It's also near the Opera house and Piazza de la Republica, which is the "nicer" side of Termini. The room was not huge, but had a full 6-foot bed and large bathroom. The hotel is newly decorated, and very clean and bright. There is a nice little bar off the lobby. Breakfast was a plentiful, self-service hot and cold buffet (you even make your own coffee from a machine!). Reception staff were efficient and helpful, but it was the barman, Franco, with his constant good humour and smile, who created the genial atmosphere in the hotel. I hope they know what an asset they have in Franco! We will definitely use Hotel Diana again when we return to Rome. (We know we'll return because we threw coins into the Trevi fountain!)
