A LITTLE GEM
Sharon, Salisbury, United Kingdom.
We have just returned from a week at The Corona Roja and could not have wished for more at the price we paid. We only needed a one bedroom apartment but actually had two bedrooms. Apartment was really spacious and light. A bit difficult to get off to sleep as it was very hot that week and no air conditioning but it was not really a problem. The food was to a very good standard. Maybe a little more choice would be good but for us it was absolutely fine. The pool area was clean and inviting with lots of space, but did not like the fact that the beds are tied down round the pool, so you could not really reposition them (I understand the logic behind it though. Nice quiet situation but only a few mins walk to the beach and shops, bars etc. Not that we spend much in bars as we took full advantage of the all inclusive drinks. We will definitely will be returning next year.
The best thing about my stay was...So many good things. Pool and surrounding area and also the view from our balcony.

Amazing value for money
Granny Jane, London
I can't fault this hotel on being true value for money. I went with my daughter and grandson, and we had 2 studio apartments. Both were really spacious with terraces outside. The beds were comfy. We did B&B as we like to eat out, though more people there were full board. The breakfasts had a good selection, although it would have been nice to have proper fruit juice rather than a squash type option with sugar and flavouring, and also a fresh fruit salad rather than tinned. The pool was well kept though very cold! There is also an indoor pool. The terrace is well stocked with sun loungers and there are always free ones, as no-one goes to stick their towels on at the crack of dawn. The hotel is basic but clean. The TV in our room was very old and had a machine to put money in to watch it! Needless to say didn't bother. Also, the free hotel wifi is only available in one are near reception. The roof terrace on the 16th floor is wonderful for sun bathing with amazing views. There are sun loungers up there and it is wonderfully peaceful The beach is a minute away. The local shopping centre with bars, restaurants and shops is 2 minutes away. All in all, what we got was amazing value and will go again.
The best thing about my stay was...The perfect weather and the location.

Cheap and cheerful.
No balcony, extremely dirty window. Toilet smelt of urine. Plenty of food but was dry and came with the occasional bit of plastic in. Building noise in the day above room. Good points: staff friendly, close to beach, cheap supermarket close by. Pleasant entertainment. I suppose you get what you pay for ...
The best thing about my stay was...The weather and close proximity to beach. Comfortable beds. Plenty of free water and hot drinks with food. Fresh bread.

You get what you pay for
We booked and paid for a room with a terrace but when we arrived we were given a room without either a balcony or terrace which was in dire need of redecoration and upgrading. We immediately complained at reception to be told there was nothing available for 2 days. When we did transfer to another room it was a 100% improvement. Food was average, not a lot of choice but the drinks were good and even came in glasses rather than the plastic you get in some all inclusives. Outdoor area and pool were very good and clean. Staff worked really hard.

Cheap basic deal
We booked this hotel as a cheap deal knowing some of the reviews weren’t too good, but we were on a budget and thought we’d give it a try. You get the impression that the staff are really not that caring about giving you a superb service, just there to serve you and they do that ok. It’s a budget hotel so that’s what you get. Good points - we had a big 2 bedroomed apartment with big balcony, all very clean and serviced most days, nice and quiet, only a few minutes walk from the beach. Nice clean pool area, which they were currently upgrading with new artificial grass. Great sunbathing terrace and roof top solarium too. Breakfast was plentiful. Negative points - it seems they are only upgrading parts of the building as they need done, so the apartment was a bit of a mix of decor and the bedroom window rattled and was draughty on a couple of windy nights, bedroom wardrobes were yuk and drawers didn’t even open. We had booked half board so although breakfast was fine, with sausage eggs, beans etc, never any bacon! Our evening meal was nothing to write home about with some things not even labelled, bland food and same things night after night, so we ate out a few of the nights, as I said before the staff were friendly enough but not that keen to provide you with anything. We had to ask about the safe, kettle, tennis, etc. You’d think they’d be primed to “sell” these features! WiFi only available free in the foyer and was very poor. They would not give you a password but instead took your device and secretly entered the password.....strange! Otherwise you could pay for WiFi in your room. No entertainment at this hotel apart from a singer at the dinner time.
The best thing about my stay was...Plenty of room at the pool, and hotel only a few minutes from beach, shopping and bars, restaurants etc.

Most enjoyable but not for people with children as there is no entertainment/animation for them. Neither are you allowed inflatables in the pool. Higher floor with 2 bedrooms give wonderful views. Note this is nowhere near a 4* so do not expect it. You get what you pay for but we found it good. Situated in the outskirts of Playa Del Inglis it is quiet and not for party-goers. The food is adequate but not a great selection. One street next to the beachk it is ideal for beach lovers. There is also a roof terrace which many people don't seem to know about either. If you just like splashing about in the pool note that it is a very COLD pool indeed but ideal for swimming in.
The best thing about my stay was...Nice peaceful location

This hotel is great value not a big choice for meals but whatever there was I found it very good . I think when there is a big selection you tend to indulge more and the drinks were stronger than any all inc I have been in. We were on the 14th floor with a brilliant view apartment large with corner balcony only downside the bathroom could do with a massive refurbish. For the money we paid £391 for 2 all inc I would definitely recommend the corona roja and we will definitely return. Don't listen to the negative reviews try it yourself
The best thing about my stay was...so casual in the dining area if wanted you could bring your food out and eat in the open air normally in other hotels you are confined to the dining room
