Don’t go if you want to enjoy yourself
Not a happy guest, United Kingdom
Not good made to feel uncomfortable, told to stop talking and go to sleep after 12 and to keep kids quiet, made to feel intimidated and young kids crying because of the “man”. Also no entertainment that they stated. Never wanted to go home so much while on holiday in all my life! Also kids cut they’re foot in the pool multiple times because of the broken tiles underneath! Point is only go if your older and don’t have kids!
The best thing about my stay was...Going out to the strip

Upgraded to Colina de Lapas which was amazing!
Helen Elizabeth Davies, London
We were actually upgraded to Colina De Lapas which was a wonderful surprise as it was 4 star 4.bedroomed villa with own pool. Therefore we couldn't fault a thing and had a wonderful holiday.
The best thing about my stay was...Own pool, huge living area, peace and tranquillity.

We have just returned from 2 amazing weeks at Colina Village. We where a large group of 13 (8 adults and 5 children) as a result we got to see both the apartments and villas. I personally stayed in a 3 bed villa with my husband and 3 children and my brother his partner and their child, 8 of us in total. It was perfect. There was plenty of space and it was spotless. Ok the decor isn't that of the Ritz but we weren't expecting that. There's a fully fitted kitchen both in the villas and apartments that has pretty much everything you'd need. Note there is no washing machine but the local intermarche have public machines. The cleaners where all just lovely, our place was cleaned everyday and beds where made. The staff in colina village just never stop - the grounds are immaculately clean and tended too. The stunning flowers, trees and shrubbery just add to the beauty of your peaceful surroundings. The food in the restaurant we found to be amazing. We didn't eat breakfast there but we did have bar snacks which where fine and we found the evening meals fab as a result we had dinner here 3 times in the 2 weeks we where there. The staff in the restaurant and behind the pool side bar are just so nice and accommodating. There is a small supermarket that if I'm honest isn't very well stocked but it does have the basics like fresh milk, water and bread so you'll never be stuck and there are plenty of large supermarkets not too far away such as Aldi. Carvoerio itself is about a 20min walk away. It's a lovely walk through the countryside and I really loved it but with small children and nanny and grandad it wasn't something we could do regularly. The reception staff are amazing and will ring a taxi (and arrange pretty much everything else for you) for you. It's literally 5 mins in a taxi into the village. There's also the free buds into carvoerio 3 times a day which was an absolute gift. Carvoerio itself is the most stunning place....its as pretty as a postcard with some fab restaurants and stunning places too see. All in all we would go back here in a heartbeat. I do firmly believe that a holiday is made by the company you're with but the surroundings absolutely set the scene and colina village was the perfect setting for us. From the fab pool areas to the stunning gardens along with excellent and friendly staff this place was just a little slice of heaven for us to have a break from the madness of our everyday lives at home. If we where to really nit pick and find negatives the only one we would have was the walk to carvoerio but it was easily over come and if this was the compromise for the amazing setting then is was more than worth it. Over all colina village is a fabulous family friendly place to stay with excellent food and facilities, set on stunning grounds. Apartments / villas are very large and fully equipped and basic in decor but spotlessly clean with everything you need. We would highly recommend!!!!
The best thing about my stay was...The stunning grounds and the lovely staff - carvoerio is just amazing too!!

Brilliant place to stay - especially for couples
Peter Byrne, Wicklow
Just back from one week stay. I must we totally enjoyed our stay. Apartment was lovely, clean and very spacious. The grounds around the apartment are beautifully kept and staff are very friendly. Our week could not have been better. It is a bit of a walk to Carvoeiro, but well worth it, as the village isjust lovely, with many restaurants and bars.. And by the way the restaurant at the Colina Complex is very good. The free bus to Carvoeiro is also very good , it tuns like clock work. If you have children, definitely need to be care of the traffic on the road if you are walking anywhere, over all it seems safe when you get use to it. Bus to the beach is very handy, Over all a lovely place to stay, I would highly recommend
The best thing about my stay was...Colina Village and the weather

Very quiet place lots of elderly couples aged from about 60 upwards,, but lovey big spacious apartments, not much to do for children as we had our 4 year old with us and the indoor pool wasn't open,, not enough staff at the bar and restaurant, waiting ages for drinks, food not the best either!! Town is about 5-7 mins in a taxi and costs about €5.50 where the beach is and a few more shops bars and restaurants,, overall carvoeiro is a lovely quiet town but not recommended for people with children!!
The best thing about my stay was...The sunshine

A very pleasant stay.

My girlfriend and I stayed in Colina Village for 9 nights and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Colina is roughtly 25 to 30 mins walk from the beach, but the walk is enjoyable and allows you to see the countryside and adds to the experience. However you have busses to the town centre/beach at 10, 2, and 5 o'clock. A taxi from the town to reception is circa €5.40. The little terraced villa we stayed in had pretty much everything we needed to live, bar a hairdryer, washing up sponge and maybe a few other bits and bobs. It was very spacious for the two of us and nice and clean. The resort was resonibly quiet ( we went at the very end of August/start of september) even though every house was occupied. It is the perfect place to go if you want a relaxing holiday. The food in the restaurant was not good but that is the case with the whole of portugal in my opinion, but there are a few nice restaurants in the town which are spectacular. Overall perfect for a holiday if you really want to relax and chill.
The best thing about my stay was...Carvoeiro it's self.

This is my second time at Colina Village. Great family friendly resort. 3 pools, including the indoor o e which we used when it got really hot outside ! Nice bar and rextaurant area adjacent to the pool which we ate in regularly with no complaints. All staff were very friendly towards our three boys and all young families are well looked sfter. Clean spacious accomodation with a cleaning service regularly. I do have a couple of suggestions... - our sleeping accomodation was split over 2 levels which was not ideal for a young family and we would have liked to know this in advance. Two bedroom downstairs were large enough to accomodate us but required us to move a mattress/bed - There are only 3 buses daily into the village which is limited enough and the walk back to the resort is all uphill !
The best thing about my stay was...Pools/ restaurant/bar area staffed by very friendly people.

We have just returned from colina village after a brilliant holiday. There was a big gang of us ages 6 to 70 and we had an absolute ball. These apartments are great so big, bathroom hige and the kitchen was the best equipped I've ever stayed in. Our friends were in a 3 bedroom apartment which was more like a villa it was huge and as there was 7 in it, it more than sufficed. The staff were excellent maids in everyday except Sunday, and the reception staff were so nice and helpful beyond the call of duty. We will definitely be returning to these apartments hopefully later in the year. Carveiro itself is beautiful about 20 min walk from colina or about €5 in a taxi. Lovley restaurants in a very relaxed town we loved it and will definitely be going back. I would hire a car next time as there's so many beautiful beaches in Portugal well worth seeing. Thank you colina village see you next time
The best thing about my stay was...Everything...couldn't fault a thing

A good sized room. The staff were very attentive and friendly. There are children's activities throughout the week. The resort also run a shuttle bus to carviero a few times during the day and even without the village is a 25 minute walk or five euro in a taxi. Included with room was a continental breakfast each morning in the complex and room did have a full kitchen if needed to get anything together there.
The best thing about my stay was...Staff who did as much as they could to make sure I had a good stay

We stayed as part of a group of 12 in a 3 bedroomed apartment. The apartment was a short walk from the pool and reception. The balconies backed onto the road and had the sun (when it made an appearance) in the mornings. It had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms which was perfect and all a decent size. Maybe not quite enough seating for the 6 of us but had the weather been better we wouldn't have spent as much time indoors. With a few minor tweeks here and there this would be a great apartment. It is a fair but pleasant 20 minute walk to town and beaches and approx. 15 mins to supermarket. T
The best thing about my stay was...Plenty of space and the staff were extremely pleasant and friendly especially in the bar and restaurant.
