Great value, lovely villa and grounds and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The pool area is lovely and ideal for children of all ages. Carvoeiro is only 10 mins by car and is a pleasant town with bars and a great beach

Just back from a fantastic week at Colina da Lapa. Lovely, spacious resort - we had a villa which was huge, on two floors. The pool area is lovely and was plenty big enough for all the people staying when we were there. Restaurant is good and better value than many in Carvoeiro itself, especially when you factor in the taxi cost. Great for families - the children made lots of friends and were able to run around safely with them in the evenings by the pool and bar. Staff all really friendly and helpful. Villa cleaned daily with fresh towels if you want them. Would recommend. Little way out of town so shuttle bus to beach and town is a useful service. Otherwise taxis are relatively cheap and easy to order.
The best thing about my stay was...Very friendly staff, well maintained and well appointed resort

3rd time here, love the complex, staff are brilliant, food fantastic, accommodation 2 bedroom semi villa like having your own home. When we fancy a night out somewhere else like carvoeiro or ferraguda taxi prices are very reasonable can't wait to go back next year.

Super locatie, Super service
Mr. and Mrs. Schoot, Empel / the Netherlands
The best thing about my stay was...De villas met naastgelegen tuin, zijn echt bijzonder mooi en groen.

Family holiday at Colina da Lapa
Anne, Co. Clare, Ireland
Our stay in Colina da Lapa far exceeded our expectations based on website reviews. We (2ad, 4children aged 4-9 years) stayed for 10 nights in a 2 bed house. The house was very spacious and included a daily maid service washing machine and dishwasher that are very handy when traveling with young children. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and very helpful with anything we asked for. The swimming pool area was pleasant and there was always available sun loungers or the free shuttle t(even had child booster seats!) to the beautiful Caneiras beach was another option. The surrounding area has stunning scenery.
The best thing about my stay was...A very relaxed and lovely resort to holiday in. Very family friendly.

An hour from Faro initially put me off, however worth the journey. A lovely clean safe complex, Villas and surroundings were amazing. A big villa for a 2 bed. Clean with lots of light and patio doors everywhere. Staff were lovely, 24 hour reception, gave us a free bottle of wine if we ate at restaurant which we did several times. Its in a fairly remote location so you either need to hire a car or appreciate peace and quiet which we did, about 15 min walk to a small supermarket. Mini bus to the beach daily (debatable if you need to book this as some said you needed to). Would return again without a doubt. Well done all the staff for being so helpful and maids/garden staff do an amazing job. Thank you all
The best thing about my stay was...Rest relaxation and clean accomodation and public areas.

This is forth time we have stayed here, as mentioned before a hire car is a must.3 or 4 beaches within 10 min drive.3 supermarkets on main road to Carveiro, so stock up. Drive to Ferragudo lovely english owned restaurant on the square called Portarade. Silves is also nice for chilling by the river and see loads of Storks massive nests on the towers. Indian and chinese restaurants in Carveiro also nice and the Taste restaurant does steak special on Saturday night.
The best thing about my stay was...The whole relaxed area and steaks and six cans of dutch beer for 2.10 euros from Pinto Doce supermarket

Great place to relax during the day time not so much going on at night, need more staff. Villas clean and very spacious outside area very well kept & spacious don't feel cramped by the pool no fighting for sunbeds. Some activities for children daily & pool & Table tennis & Tennis courts good the only downside is waiting for taxis to go out at night into Carvoeiro average price 9 euros each way. Some realy nice restaurants nearby mainly Italian & pizzas. Great food in Carvoeiro average price per meal for family of 4 £80 Euros. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels alternate days.
The best thing about my stay was...Relaxing & great food

Superb accomodation, particularly the villas, somewhat remote so car hire essential. Suitable for families, couples but not for those looking for a hectic social life

2 night taster
Philip Pickering, Hull
Stayed for 2 nights before moving onto another Hotel which did not have availabilty. Good size but basic in nice surrounding gardens but value for money though. Had the pool to ourselves when were we not out exploring. Good if you like walking. We walked both to Carvoeiro and to Ferraguda. Good value Pizza restaurant/mini market in village. To benefit you really need a car to get around the surronding area.
The best thing about my stay was...4 course lunch in Ferraguda

We were given a great welcome when we arrived quite late (got a bit lost!) and when we had trouble with the kettle putting all the lights out, one of the guys from reception was there in a couple of minutes to assist. The villa was quite basic but clean and comfortable, although utensils, pots and pans in the kitchen were in short supply (not that we planned on doing much cooking - however...) Our villa was at the very end of the complex so was quiet and private. The grounds were well maintained and gave a feeling of plenty of space. Certainly for the price we paid we got a bargain.
The best thing about my stay was...Peace and quiet

would definitely return
Linda Neville, Gillingham
Lovely complex, well looked after grounds and clean, spacious apartment with daily maid service. Reception staff were very helpful and spoke good English. A very quiet peaceful area, away from the main tourist resorts, about 3 miles from town but a free minibus was provided to town and beach. Would definitely return. The only complaints were the very tiny cups in kitchen, no good for a decent cup of tea, and the fact that we didn't see the onsite shop open once during the week we were there. There was a small shop about 15 minutes walk away so we used that.
The best thing about my stay was...The location and cleanliness of the resort

Very, very nice, will go there again if we are in that part of the world. Bit difficult to find. Sat nave is a great help if you have one. Staffs were great and efficient. Nice and brill if you like it quiet and peaceful. Hire a car and enjoy the country. Don’t forget the mosquito repellants though. Guess you need it there where ever you go! IT WILL BE HELPFUL TO THE NEW COMERS IF THE SITE MANAGEMENT PROVIDE AN EASY TO USE DIRECTION OR A MAP TO THE PLACE ON THE WEB SITE.

Another comfortable stay at Colina Da Lapa
jenny coxall, kent
This is our second trip to Colina Da Lapa and we were not disappointed. We opted for a villa again and made full use of the self-catering facilities - washing machine, oven & hob, micro, toaster, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Also took advantage of the iron and irioning board and was the first year i have ever taken everything back clean! The air conditioned villa was spotless and roomy (all villas are decorated & layed out the same) and the kids were very happy with the TV channels BBC1 & ITV1 amongst others. The villas are set in quiet, beautifully landscaped gardens with an abundance of plants and wildlife, yet just two hundred paces away from the vast swimming pool. Staff are friendly and accommodating and whilst we generally ate evening meals in town and had breakfast in the villa, we often had drinks and snacks by the pool which were good quality. There are plenty of sunbeds around the pool both in the sun and shade, plus grassy areas if you want to be set back from the pool. Our kids (14 and 8) loved the pool and were pretty hard to tear them away at the end of the day. The resort seemed popular amongst families with children of all ages, as well as couples.
The best thing about my stay was...Relaxing by the pool with a good book

Excellent value - large 2-storey apartment. Spacious, clean and well looked after resort. Furniture a bit dated but that doesn't matter if its sunny!
Elisabeth Gill, Redditch
Only booked for one night as joining family in villa locally the next day for the rest of the week. Completely surprised by the spacious 2-storey apartment set out in lovely well cared for grounds. The pool area was very clean and the children loved the pool - even though not heated! Table tennis and pool table were a good distraction for the children too and because they are by the pool you are able to leave them to it! Very quiet and well maintained. The only criticism would be the dated furniture in the living area but when you are on holiday and the weather is good it is only a base. Big fitted kitchen with large fridge, washing machine and dishwasher - we didn't need it but perfect for families and groups of friends. The upstairs bedrooms were comfortable light and airy with lots of storage and balconies all round. The price we paid for a family of five for one night was excellent value.
The best thing about my stay was...Light, airy and spacious apartment in nice well maintained grounds. Pool good too!
