Good value for money

, Fareham, Hants

Great place for young families to stay. We were a little disappointed as we went with daughter, son in law & granchildern but didn't get rooms close as requestedRooms are basi{\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252 {\fonttbl\f0\fnil\fcharset0 .SFUIText-Regular;} {\colortbl;\red255\green255\blue255;\red0\green0\blue0;} \deftab720 \pard\pardeftab720\qc\partightenfactor0 Good value for money. We were a little disappointed as were with our daughter, husband & 2 small grandchildren that our rooms weren't closer as requested. Rooms are clean and serviced most days with clean towels and linen. Pools are good especially the 'Jungle Themed' water slides ideal for little ones. Plenty of daytime activities and entertainment team always keen to get you to join in but not pushy. Evening entertainment good for kids but long gap before the rest gets started. All inclusive food and drink always plenty of choice, pool snack bar was great for kids too. Staff all friendly and hard working. Need some more adjustable sun loungers for us grand parents! The free shuttle bus to beach is well worth it as beach nearby has many steep steps. So glad we booked private transfer too.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Great place for family holiday, good pools, good food, great weather and happy granchildren.

Great place to stay. Accommodation was basic which was all we required. shower always had hot water. Rooms were made up as often as we required. All inclusive food & drink was fantastic. plenty of activities for children, (my 9 year old) loved the football court, & swimming pools, one pool even had 4-5 slides. Entertainment in the evening was a bit hit & miss. started great for the smaller children, then most nights a gap of an hour of more until the next lot started. tables & chairs for the entertainment went very quickly. as did the poolside sun loungers,The beach is about 20 mins walk but worth it, there are buses & taxi's if you don't want to walk, The worst part was the transfers, (nothing to do with the hotel) but we were told they would be 90 mins, in fact they were nearly double that.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Staff were friendly & helpful,

Family holiday

, Yorkshire England

AnAs grandparents we joined my son, his wife and our 4 year old for 8 days at Club Eurocalas. The focus was on our grand daughter and the holiday was perfect for her.She enjoyed the small pool, the discos the food and the fun. We found the beds very hard. As Brits we regretted the lack of tea making facilities and the tea on offer was very poor. The local beaches were overcrowded. However as a holiday focused on our 4 year old it was perfect, with sand castles, pool fun and mini discos

The best thing about my stay was ...

The animation team and show "Around the world "

good for families

, greater Manchester

Good holiday overall. Children enjoyed the pools the food was good for an all inclusive although mainly pork and fish. Could have had more options for the children as most days the options where the same. We enjoyed the smaller pool as it was easier with a 3 and 6 yr old. My only gripes with this was that beds where reserved early and no inflatables allowed. Meal times could be a nightmare in the evening with people being turned away due to lack of tables at peak times. Overall it was a good enjoyable holiday at a reasonable price. I would advise to book private transfers as much quicker and comfortable than coach.

When we I arrived, we had to get put into another hotel for 2nights the excuse was something to do with the water, I believe they had over booked the hotel. We got put into cala romana hotel for the 2 nights which was decent but didn't have air con in the room. We did get moved back on the 3rd day, rooms were spacious well air conditioned, food was average all inclusive food but resturant was so busy. Entertainment staff were fab had stuff on all day and night for kids and pools were great. Lovely beaches too.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Thought the entertainment staff done a brilliant job. And the air con rooms.

Our family, 2 adult and 2 childs (12,7 ages) and our frends with one child (7 year) stayed in this hotel at may- june 2014. We had seven unforgettible days. We not stayed all day in. But if you won only relaxing, you have all in this hotel. We arrived late at night, about 3am. Staff in reseption welcome our company. Registration is very fast. Than hi immediately offered us buried under travel. In restourant we found a lot of snacks, even beer :)) Hotel have big green place. Full entertaiment. Tennis, basketball, football ant etc. place, table tenis. There is entertainment all day with very very active entertaiment team. Respect them. Your company work hard. Respect. We played different games, carabine shoots, archery and etc. It's active time. Rooms. We stayed in apartment. It's big place, with very cleaning plays. (Clean every other day). Recently introduced a repair, in bathroom new tovels. Only shampoo and shower gels had to ask. Furniture is new, if you need tv, them a little problem. As more traveler photo, not one button :) But if you need.. Maybe too hard mattress in big bed. Meals. His many. Hot, snacks, fruit and and yet a lot of everything. Drinks. Coffe (dark and etc., capuchino, tee, beer, wine, coctails in entertaiment bar. Snaks bar work at big pool and there's enough food. All staff trying to help, lovely, responsible. Our company loved this hotel.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Meal, entertaiment, big place, staff.

Not so good

, Crewe

Sorry but so many comments. Hotel reminded us of the old days at Butlins. Just one restaurant....more a cafeteria really.....having to set your own tables and fetch cutlery etc from drawers. Good choice of food but not all edible or tasty but plenty of salads to fill up on. Had a 'Spanish night' but no sign of paella or tapas! Hotel is looking sad. Bathroom was 'messy' and awful smell some days from the drains. Plus we had a visitor: Colin the cockroach! Entertainment very limited but Animation team try their best and are hard working. Not a hotel for English to stay and Germans, Dutch, Polish are catered for better.

Enjoyable holiday

, Cheltenham, Glos

The hotel is not plush and we were disappointed on arrival. Our check in was poorly dealt with and we did not get the rooms we were expecting. Having booked 3 adjacent rooms - and paid a solo occupancy supplement - we were told that my (elderly!) Mum would staying in a totally separate apartment block from my family and my sister's family. The Manager was unhelpful and rude and refused to do anything to sort it out. Not a great start. We were in a 12 floor apartment block (Cabrera), which has 2 small lifts, one of which was out of order on a regular basis. Sometimes we had to take the stairs. Fire doors were regularly wedged open, which is presumably against health and safety regulations. The only positive thing I can say is that the rooms were very clean and the maids were excellent. The meals were good, with lots of choices and there were Mexican and Chinese theme nights during our 10 night stay. The bar area was very busy, with only 2 or 3 staff serving, and a 3 drink limit per order. The fact that all drinks were served in small plastic cups, (the kind you get in vending machines), really didn't help. Evening entertainment was very basic, with a children's disco from 8.30 to 9pm, then certificates given out, then some kind of show (parrots, dancing, magician, etc). The bar area is oddly laid out as the stage is lower than the seating area, so unless you get one of the few tables near the stage, or by the bar, you can't really see anyway. There was a quiz evening which was fun. The hotel has 4 pools, and employs life guards, which is impressive. There was a good selection of sun beds and umbrellas available (early June 2013). Our children loved the 3 water slides. The café / snack bar by one of the pools offers a great selection of drinks, nibbles, and snacks at meal times. This included freshly baked biscuits every afternoon, and light meals such as hamburger and chips and salad and fruit at lunch and tea time. There was a hatch for slush and soft drinks so you didn't have to dry off to go inside. We tried the Children's Club once, leaving my daughter and niece (age 7 and 8) for one hour. On our return we were shocked to find the 2 of them alone, playing outside the main Club House on the swings etc, completely unsupervised. The gate wasn't locked and there was nothing to stop them leaving. We didn't use it again. The nearest beach is a 10 minute walk away, but you have to walk down 60 or so steep steps to reach it. It has a small bar and sunbeds for hire. The downside is the one very grim toilet there. There is another beach about a 15-20 minute walk away, which has a bar and there is an excellent self service café for snacks etc. The local shops are excellent, and we found they were cheaper than the market in Manacor. The shopping centre area is quite lively with lots of nice cafes, bars, restaurants, and 2 miniature golf courses.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The pools and the poolside snackbar. Good choice for families with young children.

not very good place, very dissapointed with hotel

, po369ny

Complained of luke warm food first day. contracted food poisioning, both quite ill. The beds were the hardest Ive ever slept on a plank of wood would have given more support on back. had to visit ostepath today 11.9.2012. resort was grubby, nothing to visit around area. Some of the entertainment was done by anomation team and rubbish so all to bed at 11pm. The wet room/toilet well You had a small shower that had to be hand held and if you didnt stop half way through your shower to sweep water down drain it flooded into the bedroom, hence using towels daily to mop up! Overall very dissapointed and would reccomend this hotel. I travel on holiday frquently to different places and hotels, but soory this was not good.

The best thing about my stay was ...

very quiet, nice pool area

Excellent

, Manchester

Excellent service, spotlessly clean, comfortable room, good food with plenty of choice. We arrived late and the restaurant was reopened to allow us to have something to eat and drink. Although check out is at midday, we weren't expected to leave the hotel. We were offered the use of a room and towels when reception knew we had a late flight. So we could have stayed all day and used all the facilities. The mix of nationalities is good. It would be good to have hot water on a separate machine in the dining room to help speed up drink making, and a timetable for the daytime activities would have been useful.... but other than that everything was pretty much perfect. We'll be back.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Nothing is too much trouble.

Good 3 star hotel but evening entertainment a let down !!

, Birmingham

Make sure you book transfers as hotel an hour away from the airport and taxi is 70 Euros + for a maximum of 4 people. If 5 in taxi, you have to pay for 2 full price taxis!! Hotel is what you'd expect from a good 3 star. Rooms were cleaned every other day and were standard size. We stayed on the top floor (12th) of the Cabrera block which is the tallest building in the whole resort and views from there are spectacular. Food was fairly varied and always hot and should satisy even the pickiest of palettes. Pool snack bar always well stocked and drinks readilly available throughout the day. Main town centre about 10 minute walk away and has good selection of bars and shops. Beach is a little further away but pretty. Biggest let down was the evening entertainment. Although the reps worked hard all day long with the animation programme, the evening "shows" mainly consisted of handing out certificates and some fairly basic /poor dance routines. Even the snakeman and magician weren't worth watching.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Weather, food and resort

Very Good Value for Money

, tyne and wear

Once again its only a matter of opinion that decides reviews but I dont really know where those people giving a poor review are coming from.Yes the accomodation blocks need a nit of sprucing up but the overall cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and the staff could not do enough for you. You need to be aware that it is very much a family orientated hotel and as such almost 80% of guests had their offspring with them.Because of this the entertainment leant towards that end of the market although they did try hard.Food and drink were of a very good standard with plentiful and varied amounts of each available. The on site shop was handy if about 25% higher in price than the shops in the resort but still not really a rip off. Resort has that tired look but was also clean and tidy. The upside of the resort was very little traffic however beaches are not very accessable for small children or the elderly and the waves can be very strong. But all in all a good relaxing holiday.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The cleanliness and Excellent food and drink also never stuck for a sunbed or a seat in the restaurant

Very Big Complex

, Dublin

We travelled with a group of 20 - 9 Adults and 11 children. The complex was very big and as a result we were spread across three buildings. We didn't mind that too much, however what did grate on us was the strict policy enforced by the staff on a three drink limit each time you went to the bar. In my opinion this was ridiculous considering my family alone was made up of 2 adults and 4 children so I had to do two runs for beer and soft drinks!! what that’s all about would understand if all alcoholic drinks. I did review this prior to our departure and would agree the rooms are very clean and the food was good value for what you paid - got a little repetitive day in day out so we ate out a couple of nights - never did pizza nite for kids !! Most of the staff were friendly but the bar staff did annoy us as a group on 2 occasions waiting to be served at the bar and they would closed it at 11:45 and not 12 as stated. Also during the Eurovision they turned off the TV in the bar in the middle of the voting (best bit) and told us all to go watch it in our rooms. We kinda just laughed it off as couldn’t actually believe it!! Overall it is good value for money but beware it was busy in May so can’t imagine what would be like in high season. 

The best thing about my stay was ...

Excellent time for a 2 week holiday with my family

It was the 3rd time in as many years that we have been to this hotel. I have a 16yr old son, a 10yr old daughter and a 2yr old son and there was something for everyone. The food was great. Entertainment was fantastic and close enough to the beach without long travel time. Overall thouroughly brilliant holiday had by all of us.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The sunshine was all day, everyday

Clean, Friendly Staff and worth the money!

, Newcastle-Under-Lyme

For a budget, all inclusive hotel it was good, must be as this was our second visit. Stayed with our family with under 7's and we all enjoyed it. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick getaway or full family holiday. Having said that, the resort itself is ageing and is aimed purely at the tourist market. But, with a hire car we could visit the other nearby resorts.

The best thing about my stay was ...

Entertainment and BAR staff!

you get what you pay for

, Essex

Travelled with 4 adults, two 5 year olds and a 3 year old. Had read previous reviews and was a little apprehensive, had nothing to worry about though. Had a socalled 2 bedroom apartment, it was in fact a 1 bedroom apartment, which was all we wanted, so we cold put the kids to bed in a separate room. The room was spacious and we had clean towels 3 times in the week we were there. For the price we paid I think it was well worth it, nice pools and lots for the kids to do, with a kids club open both mornings and afternoons every day. Evening entertainment also pretty good, and I dont think the language was a problem for most of the kids. They all seemed happy to join in. As we travelled with fairly young children, we didnt get to experience much of the adult entertainment in the evenings, but what we did see, was quite good. The food was ok, again what you can expect for the price you pay-we always found something we liked, and always a good selection of fruit available. The beach is not as close as we had hoped, but as we'd hire a car,, we drove to the nearest (bigger) beach, which was approx 5 mins drive. We had a lovely holiday, and the hotel and its surroundings is great for families. Wouldnt go again as we like to visit different countries, but if anyone asked whether I'd recommend staying there, I most probably would.

The best thing about my stay was ...

The pool and the kids entertainment.
