Spacious Apartment, walking distance to marina, quiet pool and bar
Joanne McGrath , Warrington
We visited in June 2017 with a toddler. Great location within walking distance of Calen Bosh and Son xoriguer. The 1 bed apt was in need of some modernisation but it was spacious and very clean. Maid service every other day. The pool/ bar area was very quiet and relaxing. This seems to be a family run concern and all staff were friendly and helpful. The gardens were beautifully kept. Overall it was a excellent choice, I would return and recommend
The best thing about my stay was...Peaceful location, family run and friendly

Stayed September 2016 for 1 week. Clean and very spacious apartment. No frills but met all basic needs. Did not eat at the complex so cannot comment about catering. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Not a large complex but this suited us and unbelievably we never saw a sun bed reserved at all throughout the week. No matter what time of day, there were always multiple sunbeds available. A pleasant surprise!! I had read that the sunbeds were uncomfortable and they are fixed beds in that you are not able to adjust them to sit up and read so investing in some more versatile better quality beds would improve the comfort. Maybe this had an impact on the low usage throughout the day, but in general they were OK for general sunbathing. Location is very central to both beaches and the marina. All only 5-10 mins walk. The only real disappointment was the lack of air con. This is an area where they could really improve the overall accommodation package and if this were installed I wouldn't hesitate to return. All in all I would say value for money at this complex.
The best thing about my stay was...Local to all amenities. Sunbeds always available!!

A very relaxing holiday

We've just got back from an 11 night family holiday staying at the Club Ciudadela. First impressions are the appatments are basic, very clean and have all you need of a kitchen (full size fridge/freezer etc.) for self-catering. The rooms are cleaned almost daily and there are always pleantiful supply of clean towels. If you're going to Menorca you'll be wanting spending as much time in the warm, clear climate as possible. We were lucky to have had only 1 overcast day out of the 12 but still managed to spend a couple of hours in and around the pool area. The Pool is great with pleantiful sun-loungers and sun-shades placed around it for everyone. The segregated infant pool was frequented daily by our 4yr old who ended up lucking up enough confidence to ditch the arm-bands totally and make her first swim across a width of the main pool. Continental Buffet Breakfast each morning was good, even if the kids did overdose on chocolate cereals, chocolate pastries and chocolate milk! No negatives to speak of. Aclimatising to the warm evenings was easy once the staff provided us with an electric fan.
The best thing about my stay was...A Great Pool Area, Friendly and helpful staff

Review of 'CLUB CIUDADELA'
aaron rigby, kent / england
we booked 2 x one bedroom apartments, as we were two families traveling, and requested ground floor and next to each other if possible. however we were given 2 x studios on the 3rd floor !!! with no privacy. alpha rooms should refund the difference between 2 x one bed apts, and the two studios?
the staff were all very nice, snack food only but very good, pool was dirty with lots of tree leaves and debris and only cleaned 2 or 3 times in our 2 week stay, the pool filters and pumps were switched off around 6pm and restarted around 9am. the complex seemed very dusty and could be cleaner, the apartments were in cleanish order, kitchen doors poor fit etc.
really impressed with towels and bed lining changes no fault there. as a member with RCI and take more holidays than the average holiday maker and have my own time share I felt it was poor for their standards as this resort is RCI.
