Great hotel for families
Krzysztof , Ireland
We stayed in club calimera at the end of June. What made are stay was the service provided by staff who were always smiling and helpful. The rooms are specious and modern and exactly as they are portrayed on the pictures. We stayed in a 2nd floor apartment facing the pools. It had 1 double bed and a sofa which was as comfy as standard bed. The pools are fantastic and are kids spent most of days in them. There is a good selection of food, where everyone can find something. The highlight is definitely fish which is served everyday. Beach is only 2 minutes walk and is very clean.
The best thing about my stay was...Service and pools

goog, but not perfect
Good hotel for 3 stars (location; food; large hotel area). But I don't like such surprise from hotel administration: hotel is full, could you live 4 nights in another hotel :(. You can find empty sunbeds only at 6-7 o'clock in the morning. Cala D'or is a perfect place for holidays, but I never recommend Es Talaial for friends.
The best thing about my stay was...Cala D'or

Perfect for our needs
Lyn , London
Location, pools, food, room size - perfect for our needs, 1adult and 1 child. Hired car was a big help. No late check out was granted despite requesting it six months in advance and returning for our third year, which was disappointing. But the staff are lovely. Marta runs a professional and friendly business. My son pleads with me to rebook this each year.
The best thing about my stay was...Easy access to the beach and variety of pools for children.

Read reviews so expected what got. Completely fine

Large hotel. Food good. Lovely salads & one meat & fish on the grill lunch & dinner (amongst other food of course). Pools fab for small children. Entertainment is basically for German guests. It didn't stop us watching it etc. Very short walk to beach. Bit longer to Cala D'or harbour
The best thing about my stay was...Family time

Great place for holiday
Family , UK
We've been there with two small children ( 2 and 4 ). We all loved there. It is in perfect location if you are looking for place to rest. The part of Cala D'Or is very nice and peacfull. Have few shops and bars nearby but if you want more attraction it's just 5min with taxi (it will cost 6-7 euros to one way). The beach is just two minutes walk and it is the best beach we've seen in Majorka and we have been in others too. The food was great, always fresh and warn, always something they are preparing infront of you. The room was big enough for 4 people. It was mostly familys there or older people. I woudn't advice to go there for singles.. Just one thing to advice, like everyone else said it is german speaking hotel and all entertament is in german. My children are still too small and wasn't interested in that but next year when they will be bigget we might consider more english place to stay just so they would have what to do.
The best thing about my stay was...Great location and good food.

We have just returned from a week all inclusive and we had a great family holiday. The hotel caters for the Germans predominantly and they make up the majority of guests. However they were friendly and even though they reserved sun beds there was still plenty to go around. The evening entertainment is mostly all German, but our kids are 4 & 2 so we didn't stay up late to watch it anyway. The kids pool is by far the best feature from a family viewpoint and was the reason we booked. The kids loved it! The rooms are large, clean and comfy with big balconies. The food was good, especially the fresh cooked meats. The kids struggled a little with the food but there was plenty of variety and to be fair they are spoilt at home with fresh home cooked meals daily so not really surprising. The staff were friendly and approachable and good with the kids. The resort of Cala D'or is lovely and is a short distance away, the beach is a stones throw and there is an old fort a short walk with some cracking photo opportunities. There is a road train which for a reasonable price will take you around the wider resort and down into a beautiful marina. We would definitely return.
The best thing about my stay was...The kids pool

Great value for money
Great location, pools, great for kids/adults food was of a good standard for what we paid the room we stayed in was big enough for the four of us but was dark and always seemed a bit damp. The only light coming in was from the door, no internal windows but again for what we paid £1038 for 4 of us A/I for 11 nights I cant really complain. If we paid more we would have got a better room. The hotel is predominately German holiday makers there for the same reason as us and enjoying themselves with the results from the world cup. All good natured.
The best thing about my stay was...Price and quality for what we paid

A Wonderful relaxing holiday - great Hotel
Mrs Cosgrove, Greater Manchester
This is a gem of a hotel, with generous sized well equipped rooms. The staff couldn't be more helpful. We stayed "All Inclusive" and there was plenty of choice at every mealtime - even for small kids which made the stay very relaxing
The best thing about my stay was...The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful - couldn't do enough to make the stay a great experience

Not for English unless you speak fluent German
Toni Lawson, Peterlee
We arrived at the Es Talaial on Sunday 8th September to find that the previous reviews were all true. Don't get me wrong the hotel is worthy of its 3 stars and the staff are wonderful, but the hotel is only for Germans. No English entertainment or even tv channels and we were only one of 3 English couples there. The staff must have taken pity on us and the following day we were relocated (at no expense to ourselves) to the Iberostar Cala Barca which was amazing. I cannot praise the staff enough at Es Talaial and I have to say, the German guests appeared to be having a wail of a time and there was plenty going on for them to take part in. Rooms, adequate and clean, food, German but lots of choice and the entertainment for the children looked fantastic. Had we gone during peak season I'm guessing there may have been more English guests but seriously think twice before booking if you want an action packed hotel where you can join in the fun and games. Cala Egos is lovely plenty to keep you occupied and full of super places to eat and shop relatively cheaply.
The best thing about my stay was...Staff and being moved to another hotel
