Spacious and clean room
Julie , Leeds
Arrived at lunchtime and was able to check in. The room was lovely and spacious with a fabulous view of the bay across to sliema. The room was clean and each day the hotel called to ask if we were happy with everything. The hotel facilities were excellent and it is close to many lovely bars and restaurants overlooking the harbour. Would have no hesitation returning.
The best thing about my stay was...Great location and attentive staff.

A hotel where you vow never return
William Cheung , London, UK
Travelled with my sister's family who has booked direct with the hotel with Half Board arrangements and yet when arrived and checked in only to be told it was a Breakfast only. Long time has been wasted in rectifying this. To recompense our inconvenience, the hotel has sent both of our parties a letter with complimentary drinks in their bar for that evening. But the letters were given to us on the day when we have to check out at 11am and our flights were at 5pm. They didn't even bother to check our check out date before issuing the letters. We eventually exchanged it for a free late Check Out instead. The indoor swimming pool is extremely small, only takes about half a dozen adults to make it virtually unswimmable. Pre-wash and shower area is disappointingly small as well, only 3 unisex cubicles. Sauna room can only house 4 adults. Breakfast choices are reasonably good with both English and continental breakfasts. However the coffee machines lack Cappacino which in my opinion is quite popular coffee drink.
The best thing about my stay was...Location and sea view from room balcony

great location, sun nearly all day on the balcony facing the bay with great view. Quiet location but closer enough to walk to everywhere including Valletta (via ferry at Sliema) which took about 40 mins. Very good rooms, common areas and terrace. Will go back again for sure

Good location, some minor irritations with the room
There is clearly a damp problem at one end of the hotel and my room had not been aired so it was initially quite smelly. However, I prefer to have the window open than use aircon and the smell improved after airing. A few niggles - my room wasn't cleaned one day and I had to ask for a kettle, but otherwise uneventful. The breakfast is excellent, lots of choice though as others have said the layout isn't ideal, especially around the hot drinks station.
The best thing about my stay was...Breakfast, and a very comfortable bed.

Great location, lots bars and restaurants on doorstep
Heather Glover, Wetherby, England
We have just returned from this hotel , having a 4 day break. We booked through alpharooms, and were worried after reading all the reviews. We thorough enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely, the room was very clean and spacious. Our room was right next to the building work, but it didn't start till 7.30 and didn't wake us up, and wasn't as noisy as other review state. Breakfast was plentiful although it got a bit pushy as the layout could be better. There are lots of great bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Buses are regular and cost €1.50 to travel anywhere with a free return if returned in 2 hours. We walked to Sliema which is 1.2 miles from the hotel and then got the water ferry over to Valletta which cost €2.80 return. The hotel is overlooking a lovely bay and promenade, and we thought is is great value and will definately return next year.
The best thing about my stay was...Been in a great location with easy access to other areas on the island.

Construction work going on directly opposite my room which we were not informed of during booking. I also had to ask the staff 3 times to fix my balcony door

Despite our request that we be put in a quiet area of the hotel we were put next to a building site which meant we were woken every morning at 6am. When we asked to be moved we were asked for an extra€20 per night for a room on the other side of the hotel. The staffs attitude was very laid back and there was no apology made for this which ruined our holiday. The cleaning staff were lovely and very helpful. The food and drink was overpriced compared to if u just took a five minute walk down the road.
The best thing about my stay was...The company we travelled with

We found the front desk staff extremely rude, not wanting to offer any apology for major issues that hampered our stay. However, the bar staff were extremely courteous, as were the staff that cleaned the foyer and rooms. A hotel more suited to short stopovers and couples without families. The indoor pool was heavily chlorined with the outdoor pool having so much salt in it you would be mistaken that you thought of yourself in the Dead Sea. The spa at the hotel was faultless, and my thanks go to Jocelyn for pinpointing and relieving my back ache. Another word of praise goes to Peter from Supreme, who went above and beyond his remit in a time of stress, more so than the trainee and her supervisor on the front desk.
The best thing about my stay was...Meeting up with friends.

Early July holiday
C & D, Ireland
Hotel in reasonable walking distance from all amenities and bus routes. Buses very cheap but can be hard to get timetables. Staff pleasant and helpful. Plenty of selection for breakfast with no variation from day to day. Hot food was never hot.... Warm at best but you wouldn't be hungry. We were on the building work side of the hotel.... It didn't wake us up at all despite the early starts.
The best thing about my stay was...Salt water pool......but it gets very busy at weekends when none residents can pay to come in.
