We were slightly disappointed when we arrived to be told we were in an apartment when we had booked the hotel but as it was a short break we just went with it, apartments very basic but clean, if we had been staying longer we would have asked to be changed as we booked the hotel (the apartments have a different name), food was nice, a few choices, tasty and plenty of it, pool area clean and relaxing, overall a good short break.
The best thing about my stay was...Staff were friendly and everywhere was clean.

The hotel does not deserve a 1 star how it has got 4 is beyond me. food not good most staff are rude building work next door and in the hotel I had 4 different rooms in 16 days demanded my sheets one sunday morning at 8am and my towels twice they were replaced several hours later. I need a holiday to get over this dreadful one.

The rooms were comfortable spotless and beds were comfortable and again spotless. Towels changed daily. Maid service every day and the were all very pleasant and do great work. Most if the staff were very friendly and most helpful. John one if the night porters was lovely as was the 2 head waiters they did a fantastic job and we're so friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff all lovely. There was some building going on but that did not bother us these jobs gave to be done. So many thanks to all the staff who looked after us so well I would have no hesitation recommending the canifor.
The best thing about my stay was...Room and bed was clean cannot find any fault with hotel

Placed in Canifor Court down the road in an apartment from 21/8 -24/8 sadly very basic, worn bed linen, broken fridge, dodgy shower, moved to two roomed apartment at a cost of 60 Euros, also had to pay eco tax, hotel reception nice and cool but that area, lower ground floor and dining room harbours very menacing mosquitoes, I have asked staff to fumigate the place, most tourists covered in nasty bites. Food at evening meal is good, great location, good maid service, but our room had a rattling ceiling fan and noisy air con, drains around pool need cleaning out as they smell of rotten eggs. Cheap hotel, decent food, good location but there could be lots of improvements made.

This is a great hotel in a decent area of northern Malta called Qawra. The rooms are basic, (note superior rooms not booked direct with the hotel are not larger than standard, have no extra sofa bed or have pool view, but do have tea / coffee and ironing facilities, I queried this and have conversation record to confirm). The hotel in October (and I guess until about May) caters for the older generation, so ballroom dancing and 60's nights prove very popular. Considering what you pay for the room, either Half Board, AI, or B&B, the food is fantastic and I cannot thank the food and beverages manager "Vincent" enough for all the information, help and assistance he gave me throughout my stay. Would I stay here again as a solo male in my 40's old on a dive holiday looking for a good cheap base, the answer would definitely be Yes, I would. Why; there is lots to do in the surrounding area, its clean, cheap and have good basic food.
The best thing about my stay was...The food and beverage manager "Vincent" will look all his guests and everyone thinks they are getting personal attention (I think they actually are)!!!
