Small, friendly with character
M Bennie, Falkirk
The Bryghia Hotel is a small hotel with lots of character located in a central position in Bruges. The rooms are clean and tidy, the staff are friendly and the breakfast is good.
The best thing about my stay was ...
Centrally located in Bruges

Stayed a couple of nights over the bank holiday weekend. The hotel was very central, easy to find, the rooms were clean and easy to find, the public areas were lovely. Great continental breakfast. We found the proprietors / staff friendly - all in all a good place to stay. Would book the same hotel again.
The best thing about my stay was ...
Great Location & continental breakfast

Sat nav found the hotel easily, it is in a very central location. There was parking out front, but this is not always available. There was a distinctive smell in the communal areas but our rooms were ok. They were comfortable and clean, although not the most modern of rooms. It was blooming freezing whilst we were there and i found it annoying that room service turned the radiators down when we were out. Breakfast was fine, but considering the amout of Brits staying there - bacon and eggs would have been nice!

Warm welcome. Very good parking facilities. Good location, close enough to centre. Excellent breakfast, good room facilities. Small room, but exactly what I would expect for the price. No complaints.

Excellent hotel at a bargain price for its location, with a lift (very handy after a day walking around the town). Our room was large enough for two and whilst I agree with previous comments about the wardrobe it was not a great inconvenience as we only used the room for sleeping. Tea/coffee making facility provided. Very comfortable and clean. Quiet location next to a canal, just over five minutes stroll to the heart of Bruges, The Markt. Owners very friendly and helpful. Full selection for continental breakfast (choice of cereals, bread, croissants, toast, spreads, cold meats, cheese, yoghurts, fresh and tinned fruit, eggs, fruit juice, tea or coffee): extensive enough for us. Recommended, and will use again.

This is a small comfortable hotel, everything works and the Breakfast was more than adequate. Rooms are on the small size but then the price we paid to Alpharooms for our 3 night stay were too. Our only moan was that the built in wardrobe was very close to the end of the beds and with the doors open it was impossible to move around the room. Otherwise very well placed close to the centre of Bruges

Although the hotel room was clean it was EXTREMELY small and therefore could not be described as comfortable, there were tea & coffee making facilities but no where to sit to enjoy a drink at the end of the day & only really enough room to just walk around the bed. (Obviously we did not have the same room as the previous guests). The bathroom was again clean but "tired". Breakfast was adequate but the choice not extensive, this may have been because the hotel was just about ready to close for the winter. Also you must make sure you are down for breakfast quite early as the dining room does not accommodate many guests in one go & some guests came down for breakfast and had to wait for tables. The location of the hotel is good & the staff friendly & helpful but I think I would try somewhere else next time.

Convienent and comfortable. In a quiet area. If you are driving make sure you have a good map showing one way system, applies to all hotels in Brugge. Very good Breakfast.

We have stayed in this hotel once a year for the past 3 years. It is an extremely comfortable and relaxing place to stay. The rooms are clean, spacious and well-decorated/furnished, as are the bathroom facilities.
The dining room is a peaceful place, just the right atmosphere to start off your day . Breakfast is continental, buffet-style. There are always a good selection of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts to start with. Next you can cook your own soft-boiled eggs, if you wish. Also you can enjoy cheeses & cold meats with a selection of bread. You can prepare your own toast and choose jams, honey or marmalade to go with it. All this can be accompanied by tea, coffee or fruit juices.
In the Reception area there is an ample seating area, where later in the day you might like to try a delicious Belgian beer or two!
The owners are pleasant and helpful, without being too pushy.
The location of this hotel is excellent. It is in a fairly quiet area, by a canal, but just walk for 5 minutes and you will arrive right in the heart of Bruges!
We love it!
