Not 4 star
Carol morris, England
Awful. Miserable staff. Cold boring food. Ok if you like cold pork dishes. Room very dated. No tea and coffee making in rooms. TV was about 10 years old. There was a threadbare armchair. Kids not allowed any inflatables in pool not even a ball. Area around pool really grubby. Definitely not 4 star. 3 at a push.
The best thing about my stay was...Weather

Well kept hotel in a nice civilised area. Situated on a strip of shops, bars and restaurants. The room looked recently refurbished & housekeeping was to a high standard. No complaints about food. always plenty of variety but they don't cater for the "Butlins Brigade" so no burgers and chips. There are 3 Blue Sea hotels together and the operate on a resort basis, so you can use the facilities of the other 2 and go to their entertainment. The entertainment was the usual for hotels in this area, not brilliant because there is so much offered in the local bars. This low priced is excellent value. Free bus into the charming town which has hundreds of quality bars and restaurants.
The best thing about my stay was...Professional staff

Blue Sea Hotel Interpalace, Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife
Paul Roth, Kent
Listed as 4*, the Blue Sea Interpalace is in reality no better than 3 - we could say 2*+ but cannot as we've never stayed in such an establishment! Our problems started as soon as we entered our room, where we found the safe 'kaput' - the maintenance man's word. Having changed rooms to one where the safe did work (only for a week though, when it needed to have its batteries changed), we ventured down to the tatty pool area for a drink and a bite to eat. Cheap quality alcohol for the AI clients is dispensed in bottles from which one helps oneself: the ubiquitous cooked-from-frozen pizza plus grey-looking salad, often open to the elements and thus sometimes fly-ridden, was immediately deemed inedible by ourselves. Food in the dining room was unappetising, limited and decidedly lukewarm. On the third day of our stay our room wasn't cleaned nor beds made (indeed this happened once again a week later): this was the final straw for my wife who quickly organised a crisis meeting with the establishment's manager. Fair play to him, as he upgraded us to Super AI, meaning we could eat and drink across the road at either of the group's sister hotels en resort, namely the Bonanza and Canarife (the food here was altogether far superior). Now to the entertainment; or lack of! Late night Bingo, a derisory quiz or half-hearted singing along to pop music by the un-animated animation team does not, in our opinion, constitute entertainment. Truly dreadful. Finally, to the cleanliness of the Blue Sea Hotel Interpalace, which is best summed up by the peanut that remained omnipresent on our bathroom's floor for the entire fortnight. In the end it became an in-joke, each morning we'd swap bets as to whether it would be cleared up upon our return - it never was! We will NEVER go back!!
The best thing about my stay was...Tenerife itself - we hired a car for the fortnight and got to many parts neither of us had seen previously

Tired and badly managed
Geoff & Ann Ratcliffe, United Kingdom
arrived at reception to be transferred to sister Hotel to check in and then told we needed to stay in other sister Hotel for 1 night ! and change back the next day ! we should have taken this as a warning. The Interpalace Hotel is very tired , our room was grubby and the towels were once white ! Our room was not cleaned on 2 days out of 7. Food was good and staff very friendly .It lacked atmosphere and a bar to relax in (besides the all inclusive one ).the behaviour of some guests around the pool was disgraceful , drinking all day and their language disgusting, and no staff intervened or tried to amend the situation .
The best thing about my stay was...Food was nice and staff friendly . .

Very Good with All Inclusive
all inclusive is the best choice, when you go to the hotel.
The best thing about my stay was...The all inclusive service at the pool bar

We got lucky
Dinsdale Piranha, Los Angeles
Arrival was chaotic as we went to Interpalace and Canarife before being directed to Bonanza which has no reception. We had a large room with a good view of pool area, which was only noisy until about 11:30 pm. However we did not get the beach view or the double bed we had requested. The channels available on their pay TV were disappointing, although BBC World News was free. Wifi charges of 6€ per day also seem OTT. Good breakfast buffet, and location is perhaps better than it appears from the map. Room was exceptionally clean and desk staff were generally helpful. The jacuzi and the sauna were out of order, but the steam room functioned and almost compensated.
The best thing about my stay was...not the plastic bed-liner.

Great location, friendly staff, good food, nice clean room
Geoffrey Bugden, San Miguel De Abona
This is nice hotel, with great service and good facilities. There is a courtesy bus that takes you to the town centre several times each day and is situated in a nice area overlooking the bay, giving great views. The food is good and their is a great and varied choice to suit all tastes. We will certainly return.
The best thing about my stay was...Everything was perfect for a relaxing break.
