The only reason I have marked this accommodation down will become clear. We arrived at the Hotel at 10.30 on the Saturday night and after checking in, someone showed us to our apartment and carried one of our cases which was nice. The apartment was very roomy with a lovely bathroom, bedroom and living area with a small kitchenette. The balcony doors opened out onto a large terrace which had table and four chairs and also 2 sunbeds and there was still loads of room. However, in a self catering apartment, I would have expected a kettle, toaster and microwave as standard and this was not the case, but once I requested a kettle from reception, I was given both a kettle and a toaster. However, when I took these back to the apartment, there was no power point anywhere near the kitchen area and had to improvise by standing both electric items on a chair in the corner of the living room which was not ideal. Also, although the bathroom was lovely, there was no power point for hair-dryer, there was a large mirror on the wall in the living area but no power point nearby. Power points were in the bedroom but no mirror so I found that doing my hair was a bit of a problem. The pool areas are lovely but the sunbeds are all reserved with towels but no-one seems to use most of them which limits the use for people who want to do exactly that. We ended up putting our sunbeds on the grassed areas where you can be in the shade or sun whatever you prefer. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this hotel if you are prepared to improvise.
The best thing about my stay was...The resort of Cala Egos is small but compact and everything you need is there.

Lovely relaxing holiday
Susan donnelly, Glasgow
We had booked to stay in a studio in es bolero but when we got there we had been upgraded to a 1 bed apt in ses cases, which is also ran by Club Martha's. It was absolutely amazing we had a ground floor terrace apt ten steps from the pool, and they had given us a lovely bottle of wine and basket of fruit as it is our 35th wedding anniversary this year which was a kind gesture. I don't think I could fault this at all apart from there not being a toaster or kettle in the apartments, but that is only a minor criticism.
The best thing about my stay was...Being in the lovely ses Casas d'or apartment, just relaxing.

near plenty of restaurants, lovely beach, nice walk to the marina, If I had children I would definitely take them here for a holiday
The best thing about my stay was...being anywhere but work

Very good, but could still improve.
Richie Bradley, Dumbarton, Scotland
The accommodation was very good, but lacked some basics: there was no bedroom mirror or dresser; the kitchen area was very small for 4 people.
The best thing about my stay was...Close proximity to the main entertainment area and pool area.

Good hotel for price
Bev, Hampshire, UK
Stayed for one night on my own. Staff very helpful, room had everything you needed for self-catering. Very good quality bathroom. Lovely to be able to open patio windows to sit on the terrace at the end of the day. Probable because at the start of the season, but apartment smelt a little 'mildewy' upon entry, but didn't notice after a couple of hours. Would recommend for sure.
The best thing about my stay was...Good price paid (last minute) and friendly staff

Totally over priced
P lynch, Liverpool
The es bolero is very small and needs modernising as it lets the rest of the complex down. We had to pay an extra 110 euros to move to the marthas complex as could not of stayed there with two young children . There was no foam in the matress in the couch bed as that old. No lift for us to take luggage our pram up and just did not feel safe in the apartment as balcony to easy for my boys to jump over.totally over priced and would not return.

Fantastic Entertainment - Great for all the family!!
Faye McFadyean, West Yorkshire
The Hotel Bolero is part of the Club Marthas complex however it does not in anyway feel separate to the hotel. We had a really nice large apartment, with a lovely terrace area with a table and chairs and two sunbeds. As we were on Half Board basis the only thing we used in the apartment was the fridge, however the only slight negative I did hear was the additional charges for things like toaster, kettle, cots etc. The food we got was all nice and we felt a good selection with themed nights three times a week. The two pool areas are really nice however you did have to be there for nine when they unlocked the sunbeds to get one, I do think this is not uncommon in many hotels in high season. The best thing about this hotel was the entertainment which was fantastic with something for all the family, our children aged 8 and 5 loved it! There is about nine people in the entertainment team all of which were excellent really friendly and enthusiastic. There was activities throughout the day for all the family then on a night was the kids disco which was brilliant followed by family friendly shows which included Tribute to Disney, Back to the Movies, Saturday Night Fever, Sister Acts etc. The entertainment for our family needs was fantastic and really made our holiday. The hotel itself is not actually in Cala d'or it is in Cala Egos is a nice little place with well over a dozen restaurants. The Marina is only about 15 minute walk away and this is a fantastic place to have a walk or a nice meal as there is a great choice of restaurants and is great to look at all the boats/yachts. Cala d'or itself is only a short taxi ride away with loads of choices of restaurants etc. The beaches are nice in this area however they are all small rocky coves rather than long stretches of sand like you find in resorts such as Alcudia in the North. Overall la fantastic holiday and we would definitely go back!
The best thing about my stay was...Entertainment!

Excellant facilities, lovely pool area, really enjoyed our stay.
Kay Richardson, Washington
Welcoming reception staff. Very clean and spacious apartment, particularly liked the large balcony with sun beds, and patio table etc. Only minor faults, only 2 rings to cook on and when sleeping in lounge no light switch near bed.
The best thing about my stay was...Large balcony.

For the price we paid we were not expecting much, £80 for 3 adults B & B for 3 nights, the complex we clean and tidy, The lady on reception was english so had no problem there, she was very helpfull, the room was ok, a bedroom with 2 beds and 2 beds in the lounge, very small kitchen but no kettle, toaster, microwave all of which you have to hire from reception. We took a travel kettle. The breakfast was very ok, i just had a piece of toast, no full english but there was enough not to be hungry, We were only there for a weekend so didnt do anything else in the hotel as we went out. Thre Club Marthas complex is very nice, all clean and pools were nice. For the money i paid i got what i expected and i would stay there again for that money!!!!!

Surprisingly peaceful and secluded
John Gribbon, Bearsden
Es Bolero surpassed all my expectations. Although part of the Club Marthas complex with access to all the entertainment and other facilities there, it sits apart and is really quite secluded by comparison. Most rooms face inwards towards Es Bolero's own central courtyard and walkways, giving it a bit of a village feel. Unexpectedly, my own room had a small private garden surrounded by a high hedge! They don't all have this though - just the luck of the draw. Most have either balconies or a shared patio area, which is fine too as it's not busy. Beyond Club Marthas the Cala Egos area is a pretty quiet suburb of Cala D'Or, with a handful of bars and shops. The main centre of Cala D'Or is about 30 minutes walk away on the other side of the marina.
The best thing about my stay was...The unexpected "secret garden".
