Really clean great size rooms
Stayed here with a group of friends, we had 2 bedroom top floor apartments. Fantastic views from room 609. Apartments were a great size, brutish tv available for those who spend more time indoors. Rooms a little tired and balconies could do with some work but cleaned regularly and to a high standard. Pool doesn’t get much sun but the hotel’s only minutes from the beach. Overall we all agreed that the apartments were a good find.
The best thing about my stay was...The size and location of our rooms

Our apartment had been updated and the space appreciated. Breakfast in the restaurant excellent - well planned, efficient and appetising. The position of the Hotel key element.
The best thing about my stay was...The sheer relaxing atmosphere and helpful staff.

HAS THE MAGALUF 'HEN AND STAG PARTY-RABBLE' TAKEN OVER?
Freda Woods, United Kingdom
My husband and I had been guests at the four-star Aparthotel Monarque Sultán situated in the quiet residential area of Marbella on Av. Arturo Rubinstein – quiet no longer! This is our tenth year at the hotel and previously it has always been peaceful, catering for families with children and couples. This year in June 2016, we were surprised to discover four or five hen parties plus three or four stag parties totalling upwards of approximately 100 guests. These groups expressed themselves both verbally and physically with the most foul vulgarities at both pool-side and public areas inside the hotel. These ‘guests’ start their antics shortly after 10.00am and it built up to what can only be described as a free-for-all until the pool closes at around 7.00pm. The male groups express themselves by throwing sunbeds into the pool and hurling plastic bottles at each other across the pool. One male decided to entertain everyone by removing his swim trunks and performing hand-stands in the shallow end of the pool. By this time other guests with small children hand left the scene. We observed this horrendous behaviour from our sun terrace. The noise was quite unbearable. The next day the females were not to be upstaged with their over-excited screams of encouragement as one topless young woman straddled in turn, four men and provided massage to their backs. The pool staff was unable to cope with this ‘rabble-rousing’ by these groups and outside uniformed security staff were called in. On the morning before we were to depart, we were stunned with disbelief to see four robo-type Spanish police officers outside the hotel lobby. We were later told by other guests at the hotel that the previous evening a group of upwards of twenty males and females had returned to their rooms in the early hours and had decided to trash the facilities by smashing accommodation tables and chairs. The tour operator was contacted and these rabble were immediately removed from the hotel. ‘Some joint, eh Rick?’ – after ten years of holidaying at the venue, it is unlikely that we will return unless the Hotel Management change their policy and disallow these groups of ‘hen’ and ‘stag’ parties to be admitted as ‘guests’. I wonder if cheaply-priced Spanish alcohol was involved. It seems to me that other powdery substances may have been added to the mix, fuelling this continuous unacceptable behaviour. One final note, many, if not all of these party groups, identified by their accents, were from the English regions. The most foul-mouthed stag group was from the north-east of England. In case I am accused of being racist, I assure the reader that I am a British Citizen who resides for most of the year in the United Kingdom.
The best thing about my stay was...The helpful staff

Laid back and quiet
The hotel is nice and is well maintained. Very clean and staff are quite helpful. Really close to the beach. Not on the shore but about 5 min walk from the beach. Beside everything you could possibly need. Bus, shops, pharmacies, taxis etc. Restaurant in hotel itself is quite poor in terms of food quality. On the whole it's a fairly good hotel
The best thing about my stay was...The beach and the weather

would definitely stay at this hotel again
Deborah Cunliffe, wigan
went for daughters hen party. booked 3 rooms and each one was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. from previous reviews that i had read, i was expecting a very tired, dated hotel. however, it was great. the kitchen had all new appliances, the bathroom and shower were very good, and the balcony was really spacious. Beds were very clean and comfortable. on first day we reported that the patio doors would not lock. they came to repair it within two hours. there is a supermarket on the corner of the street that opens till 2am. I would definitely recommend this hotel. the only critism is there was no kettle in our room, but we just used the microwave and to be fair we didnt ask for one.
The best thing about my stay was...cleanliness, size of rooms and balcony and location
