8/10 Great

Nice hotel, friendly staff

My wife and I spent a week here and both thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The hotel and rooms are clean. The staff are friendly and speak basic English. The pool is small but the hotel is only 5 minute walk in either direction to the beach. Food is basic but is okay. Would go back there again.

The best thing about my stay was...

Nice quiet pool area

Review of 'MIRGAY B'

Apartments well kept and modern.
Pool area small with few sunbeds, but beach only yards away.
Food in hotel dreadful - take self catering option. Eat out at Bar ANTIC - only yards from Mirgai.
After eating try a little late night drinking in Bar Talaiot - the owner is a scream!

Review of 'MIRGAY B'

I and 7 friends stayed inthis hotel in September 2005. We had been recommended by other friends and although initially disappointed at the lack of facilities on offer, soon found out why they raved so much.
The Mirgay itself is newly refurbished and the rooms are spacious and not badly equipped. The pool area is miniscule and the sunbeds very scarce (not that many would fit round the pool)
The way this place wins is by being right on the pedestrian seafront, within easy reach of both SIllot and Sa Coma. Its an easy stroll in either direct along the pedestrianised promenade. There are also several decent watering holes along the way to ease a thirsty travellers needs.
I have to say that the food was abysmal in the hotel so if you have a self catering option I would grab it as the food is completely inedible and you´ll end up eating out anyway. Having said that, there are plenty of decent eating places locally. We liked Es Mollet (expensive but nice), The Indian restaurant (for when the need for a curry becomes too much) and the Antic (Ithink that´s how you spell it)
We have already booked again for 2006 and cant wait............

Review of 'MIRGAY B'

Whilst agreeing with other reviewers that the cleaning service could be improved I must point out that there are very few establishments of this type where you can open the balcony doors in the morning and virtually touch the sea from the terrace!
The hotel is small but very modern with ample facilities (bearing in mind that it IS a small place) and the position is unbeatable. We have visited here several times now and wouldnt hesitate to recommend to others.
Along the seafront are two beautiful beaches, both perfectly safe for bathing. Also there are a number of shops locally and more than enough bars to keep you going.
We came on a self catering basis and ate out all the time. Our all time favourite restauruant is called ANTIC and is literally three strides from the hotel main entrance.
Forgetting cleaning problems this is a smashing option for a reasonably priced holiday.
