I thought this was a great place and exceptional value for money. I went in May half term and no problem with getting dining tables, sun beds or getting served at the bar. The staff were great and I liked the food. Apartment really nice and spacious. Will definitely go back.
The best thing about my stay was...Apartment

We have just arrived back from a weeks stay at El Duque, location is very good, rooms are clean (although we had no aircon and it was hotter in the apartment than outside in the evening so we had to hire a fan for a week and sleep with the balcony door wide open). Food was good, not as much choice as usual in a hotel but plenty to choose from all the same, the Mexican night was very good!! The only major downfall to this hotel was the swimming pools, very disappointed with these - the first pool we went in on our first day was the quieter chill out pool behind the reception building. We came out of it to find that our white swimwear was green and yellow (these are soaking in vanish as I write and the marks don't seem to be shifting). Later on in the week, we tried the larger, busier pool and again had the same problem, these were the only times we went in the hotel pool and we ended up using the swimming pool next door at Hotel Isabel. With two children (age 6 & 11), I'm sure you can imagine this was very disappointing as this is all they want to do on holiday is play in the pool and it's looking like our (new) swimwear is ruined. So overall, good location, good food, bad pools and if like us you want to be cool at night in bed, opt for a Superior room at this hotel as they are the only ones with aircon!

Very good value three star
Jayne Bates, Wolverhampton
The El Duque is lovely. Quick transfer from the airport, central but quiet location. Ten minutes walk to El Duque or Fanabe beach (Fanabe at the end of a fairly steep hill) and location close to a small shopping centre and large supermarket. Beware standard apartments don't come with air con, but fans can be hired from reception or purchased more cheaply from supermarket. Apartments was spacious and clean with huge balcony. Two pools cleaned every sat with plenty of sun loungers. Food, considering it was all inclusive was excellent -we ate something different every meal, good selection. Staff very friendly as was everyone in Tenerife. Hotel although large, splits rooms into blocks of about 15rooms. We stayed in C block and had views of both pools and beautiful mountains rom balcony and sea from kitchen window. I don't have kids myself but it seemed like there was plenty for them to do. This is a very nice three star, I'd call it three star + and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Great value for what we paid!!

Very nice place
Mr and Mrs S, Hornchurch
Good accomodation, stunning views of mountains, all inclusive very good. However, another bar would be good (there was another bar but closed - why?) Also, paying extra for the alpharoom transfers was not good as we were collected from the El Duque at 8.50am, arrived at airport 9.20pm for a 12.40pm flight- far too early!
The best thing about my stay was...All inclusive option but we were not given the all inclusive plus option

Relaxing and good value!
We went with our teenage daughter and another family. Rooms are large and comfortable, plenty of storage space. The hotel was nice and quiet, with plenty of room around the pools, although we went in October and not sure there would be sufficient space in summer if the hotel was full. Food was good, there was always something to eat and the cakes were fabulous. Dont bother taking beach towels as you can get them free from reception for a 15 euro deposit per towel, and they looked good quality towels. The service was good, from everyone. We did have to wait a while to check in but that was because we arrived at just before 12 which was check out time, we then had to wait till 2.00 for our room but they gave us wrist bands so we could have a drink and some lunch while we waited. Their web site says free wifi but you have to go into the shopping centre (which is right in front of the hotel) to get this. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and would definately go again although not sure I would go in main season as think it would feel crowded and not sure the facilities would cope.
The best thing about my stay was...the weather and cakes!

Clean, friendly, recommended

Stayed in a one bedroom apartment with our 2 boys aged 4 and 8. Could have done with air coinditioning as the ceiling fan in the lounge area did little to cool the apartment enough to sleep (and there wasn't one in the bedroom) and I did not feel comfortable leaving any doors to the balcony open whilst we slept. Sofa beds in lounge are not that comfy! Apart from that the apartment was clean and spacious with a large family bathroom wuth shower over bath and a kitchen area with fridge, microwave, juicer etc. We stayed all inclusive so didn't cook and just used the fridge for cold drinks. Room cleaned daily and fresh towels provuded as required. All inclusive means buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner with self service drinks in the restaurant and drinks and ice cream at the pool bar from 11am to 11pm. This was more than enough for us and the food was varied, hot, labelled and tasty. Obviously they cater for many nationalities and you can't please all of the people all of the time but we had no problems and my 8 year old ate like a horse! The pools were cleaned ad tested daily and there was always a lifeguard on duty. There was a small lack of sunbeds but if you get up early enough there isn't a problem. Pool toilets and others in hotel were all clean. Entertainment wasn't the best but the kids all enjoyed themselves and the Animacion guy was cheerful and did his best to get everyone going. All staff were very friendly and cheerful, I could not fault them. Thoroughly recommended hotel but we'll take the superior rooms for aircon if we go again.
The best thing about my stay was...Friendly staff, cleanliness and food & drink

Food poisoning rude staff and generally not the best 3 star!
I wouldn't recommend that you book this hotel, the food is terrible and some of the staff are very rude, I saw a few roaches in the dining room and in general it didn't feel like a very well run 3 star, my wife got food poisoning from the buffet and the hotel response was rude an defensive, on the up side the beer was pretty good but don't expect quick service or a clean glass, do yourself a favor and book a different hotel, there are plenty to choose from.
The best thing about my stay was...San Miguel and the Gym, €25 a week extra though.

The apartments are ideally situated a short walk from the picturesque beach with restaurants but the complex is quiet, attractive and clean. We had a one bedroom apartment which was spacious and clean. The food was excellent, freshly cooked at each meal, lots of choice and plenty of fresh fruit. The staff were excellent, very attentive, friendly and funny. I would go here again and recommend it.

Great aparthotel, friendly, clean - what more do you want?
Gary Cockett, Cheltenham
Stayed here over the period 26 September - 6 October 2011 on a half-board basis. We had one of the upgraded superior rooms on the 2nd floor overlooking both pools. Everything was clean and worked, daily maid service was friendly. I would have to grade this hotel as excellent for all facilities and the self service restaurant was great, with lots of selection for all tastes. It was about a 10-12 minute walk to the beach front, which was no problem. Overall, can highly recommend this venue. Try the whale and dolphin watching cruises, great experience.
The best thing about my stay was...Friendliness of staff and cleaniness of rooms, pools and grounds.

Having just returned from a 2 week all inclusive stay, we found this hotel very clean and comfortable but extremely dull.(Even tho the hotel was fully booked) The in house entertainment for all inclusive visitors was very boring and repetitive. There was no facility for snacks during the day included in the all in package and the meals altho very acceptable were very repetative. The breakfast was very continental , which does not always appeal to the english palate. Bar service was extremely slow, and sometimes the restaurant was so busy you had to wait for a table at peak times. The location was too far from the hustle and bustle and night time entertainment of the local area-we ended up getting taxis to get some entertainment(very reasonable about 4 euro a trip) This hotel is ideal for the traveller who requires total peace and quiet and i would not recomment it for anyone between the ages of 15 and 40. the hotel itself is lovely and the staff are very helpful and the rooms are huge and very well kept(they were cleaned every day) the pool is huge and even tho busy never seemed packed and there was always a lifeguard. I liked the hotel but I would not go back here as i found it just too boring
The best thing about my stay was...Friendly helpful staff

Very clean and comfortable, new fittings in apartment, very spacious and quiet. Would not hesitate to recommend. Would add that the studios are in two blocks only and the view from some studios not the best. Views from the apartments very good. Look forward to coming back in 2010. Dave and Sue - Manchester

2 week family holiday
Nice Place, Hotel very clean. Met loads of nice people and kids had a ball. Very handy with buses and taxis outside. Market across road every Thursday and Saturday and beach only 10 mins away. Very disappointed with food, and also that all inclusive didn't include the snack bar. Kids had to pay for ice creams during the day as they were only available at lunch time and dinner time.

I stayed in a studio aparment for one week in july. Entire complex was clean and very well maintained, the location is perfect with taxis, buses etc right outside the door. The pool area is quit busy during the day but is very quiet and peaceful at night. At 125 euro for the week proved to be excellent value for money and i would definetly go back

Just got back from Tenerife. No complaints about anything. Hotel was in a strange place as you have to walk through the supermarket to get there but once you are in the hotel you just don't notice it. Also quite handy as you only need to pop down to get your water etc. No complaints on the food, loads of variety, Just a bit bland. Beach was good, only 10 mins away. So all in all definately worth a visit.

Had one week in this hotel and found it to be pretty good overall. Our room backed on to the shopping centre which was a bit unfortunate but not too big an issue. We had problems with cockroaches and reported this to reception but nothing much happened. Costa Adeje itself is a great place for a holiday with a nice mix of good places to eat, and great entertainment yet with an upmarket feel. The host in "Ye Olde Ocean" bar on the front is the funniest performer we have ever seen. Overall the resort more than made up for the Hotel. Would pay a little more and stay in better accommodation next time.
