Alkyon Hotel Overview
The Hotel Alkyon is considered to be one of the finest in the locality. Once you've experienced its facilities, excellent location and friendly atmosphere, we think you'll agree that it makes a superb choice for a memorable holiday. The hotel is about 300m from the lively resort centre with its shops, bars and restaurants. There is a bus-stop nearby if you fancy exploring Corfu Town, Kassiopi, Roda or San Stefanos, with buses running several times a day.
As a lower-cost alternative to the main building, the Alkyon Hotel is now offering Annexe Studio rooms that are located across the road some 20 metres from the main entrance / reception. All come with a TV, kitchenette, mini fridge and balcony or terrace as standard, but you will be asked to pay a surcharge for air conditioning.
A new tourist accommodation tax will be implemented in Greece (mainland and Islands). This tax will be for all stays (regardless of booking date) from 1 January 2018. The tax will be per room, per day and is payable directly to the accommodation at check in. This tax is not included in any prices shown on Alpharooms. The cost is in Euros and will be charged thus (and is subject to change)

We stayed in a hotel room, this had a small balcony a newly fitted bathroom with walk in shower. The bed was wooden with wooden ends not suitable for tall people I had to sleep diagonally. The room was cleaned daily. There was an extra charge for aircon. There was a hairdryer a fridge a tv and a phone. The pool area was nice and the pool very clean. Although the water is not heated so will be cold out of season. All the staff here very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a basic continental breakfast however you can get a cooked English for an extra 2.50euro. The evening buffet was brilliant all the food was excellent and there was something different every day of the week. If you are fussy with your food and you want a budget holiday this is the place to book.
The best thing about my stay was...The evening buffet.

Fab Hotel, will deffo return
andrea jennings, Swindon, Wiltshire UK
Having never stayed in a hotel in Corfu i was a little apprehensive, but no need, this hotel also had a little annex of appts, with its own private pool, we were situated there, open appt door and straight into pool, it was excellent. I would far rather be there than in the main hotel block and round the main pool as very busy. ours was almost just us there, was heavenly. the staff were fantastic, extremely friendly and very helpful. we went B&B, breakfast was continental and very good, but you could have a fry up for an extra 2 euro, but really no need, the evening meal was outstanding being a resident it was 7 euros, and thre was so much choice and help yrself, so u could eat as much as u wanted, and all 3 courses. food really was tremendous, and I cannot recommend highly enough. we like to go out and abut to eat, but this was such good quality, choice and value we would of been stupid not to eat there. rooms cleaned every day apart from sunday and towels replaced daily, I really culd not fault the place. excellent entertainment every evening. location perfect,
The best thing about my stay was...Fab location, gr8 food and lovely staff

very good hotel
Jacqueline Palmer, Lancashire
Hotel was very good in every aspect. Well family run hotel. Food varied and HOT, not something you can say for many hotels! Rooms adequately comfortable. All staff did their jobs well and with a smile on their faces. Particular mention about reception who printed off our return boarding passes and sorted our departure transfer willingly and nothing was too much trouble, thanks again. Altogether, an excellent experience and will definitely return in the future. Very highly recommended.
The best thing about my stay was...all combined to make a very good holiday

Close to the strip but not ontop of it, if you like pools you can use any in Sidari if you are drinking and/or eating

The Alkyon is a ok hotel, i can only comment on the annex building has this is where we stayed we where 5 adults and 2 children in 3 rooms and i think me and my children got the best room no14 we had a bath and shower (which actually attached to the wall) in rooms 11 and 13 they do not, so u need to hold the shower whilst in it and no bath or shower curtains either so makes it difficult not to flood the bathroom, although our bathroom when u emptied the bath bubbles came through the drain, the room was really big with 2 rooms with 2 single beds in each room i liked the bedroom next to the bathroom because if u shut the shutters it was really dark at night or the afternoon if you want an early night though if there's entertainment on you can hear them and they dont start until 10pm. The air con cost us about 70 euro for our 2week stay and i thought it was excellent in our room in fact at night i had to turn it off has it was cold. Breakfast is continental toast, jam, butter, croissants, meats, juice a cooked breakfast was available at 250 euro a plate of beans 150 euro Evening meal food is ok if you like a lot of meat but it was very repetitive chicken and beef where on every night had different soups, bread and chips (no selection for children unless u bought them) puddings where lovely. The staff are very pleasant in the bar they do cocktails at 350 euros and Amstel 3 euro a bottle, they have happy hour at 9.30pm u get 1 euro off some cocktails and other drinks. They have entertainment on most nights and do bingo (we found this a bit expensive but prize wasn't bad) it was 5 euro a game (full strip) but they only play for the house, its 5 games but the last game is 10 euro and its for a line then the house and you can only play if you bought tickets for the game before. I would stay again but in the actual hotel or room 14 of the annex and i would opt for self catering or b&b. T There are plenty of places to eat out near by anyway we liked target bar burgers they where the best in Sidari, also lagoon pools food is lovely and staff very friendly, sea breeze on the strip does lovely meals too for entertainment at night go to Maddisons, Bed Bar, Cargo, One for the road (and a few more cant remember names) For the best swimming pool in Sidari find Ostria its so peaceful and the pool is excellent if you go down the strip straight on at the cross roads follow the road right down past a petrol station and indian you will come to a side road on your right looks a bit like a dirt track goin to nowhere follow that road you will come to a pool called Nikos the Ostria pool is the next one up its 30 mins walk with a 4 year old and 6 euro back in a taxi to Alkyon.
The best thing about my stay was...Going to different swimming pools everyday just relaxing and the entertainment at night

The hotel is lovely. Entertainment every evening. Continental breakfast which was ok. You could have a cooked English for 2.50 euros. The hotel snack bar is very reasonably priced. Toasties from 2.20 euros. Baguette and chips 3.50 euros. Lovely salads and pizza's. Pool is very nice and the cool hot tub is fantastic. The cocktails are to die for. All day 3 cocktails - Blue Lagoon, Tequila Sunrise and Sex on the beach are 3.50 euro. Happy hour 4 - 5 and 9.30 - 10.30 1 euro off cocktails, spirits, beer etc.The Pina Colada is really the best I have ever had. Booked a trip to Paleokastrista with Alpha Kappa Travel. They were fantastic. Aussie Rob is full of Greek myths and is such good fun. The driver was brilliant driving up into the mountains - we felt very safe. I would give this travel company 5 stars.
The best thing about my stay was...The staff are absolutely brilliant. They are so friendly and professional. They make your holiday very special.
