Ymca West Side

Ymca is a place which I can recommend for the people who are staying shortly in NY and they time will be spending outside. Good location. Small rooms and bathroom at the corridor, however clean. No internet connection. Ask for the room not close to the bathroom because of very loudly closing doors. There is a swimming pool however quite old and unpleasant. But there is a great fitness centre almost always not busy. And one more, in TV there are often information that NY is cheap and good for shopping, I cannot agree, much better place is East Europe, much, much cheaper and much more to see and buy.

Great location in Lincoln Square of Manhattan.  Right across from Central Park.  Plenty of places to eat, but also a pretty decent cafeteria right in the YMCA.  The rooms are smaller than college dorm rooms with tiny bed and a flat pillow.  Shared bathrooms stank and were awkward.  However, you can use the YMCA fitness center where the showers are nice if you aren't shy about communal showers.
