Basic but great location

Great location, very basic but absolutely fine. Gym with swimmingpool is a bonus, though we didn't have any time to use it.
Best tip for this budget hotel: don't forget to take your earplugs: at night the radiators start to warm up and this doesn't happen silently.
Room is small with a bunkbed, but also a fridge, tv and airco!

It was certainly very basic, however despite the bathrooms being on the other side of the building and that we had to sleep in bunkbeds without a ladder!!! we enjoyed every minute of it. The security is tight and therefore you feel quite safe in there, the staff are really helpful and pleasant. But best of all is the location, couldn't have been better right in the heart of things. Price was definitely the highlight, would most definitely stay again.

Basic but Friendly

Was very very basic; no private facilities, and a sink in the room would've been nice. But a fridge was a plus and hanging space for clothes. Fantastically located - for that I couldn't ask for more and fantastically priced. Staff couldn't have been better either. Really enjoyed staying here - but don't go if you like your home comforts! Could walk everywhere and had wonderful swimming pool!

Review of 'YMCA Vanderbilt'

There are a few negatives to the YMCA in terms of the size of the room and the shared bathroom situation. The room was small but served its purpose as somewhere to sleep and the room was advertised as having a shared b'room so it was expected. On the plus side the room was cheap in relation to its central location in Manhattan and was convenient to all transportation for getting around the city and its attractions. Full use of the gym facilities was also a bonus. Overall it was good value for money but there were certainly no frills.

Review of "Pennsylvania ", NYC

Very good place for its excellent location , in the midtown of New York City. Convenient to go everywhere of NYC , short walk to Time square ,Medison Square Garden , Empire State Building , Theatre District , 5 TH Avenue. Lovely nearby shopping : MACY , H&M. Nice places around for cafe and resturants :foods and drinks , Only few paces for subway. You can find everything there , we love it, Pennsylvania ,NYC.
