Awful

Yes it was basic. Yes I knew it was a fair distance from the main attractions. However, on arrival, even I was disappointed! Shared bathrooms, one of which had no hot water, and the toilets got blocked. General feeling of dirt around the place too. I still didn't work out why they needed a security guard on the door....maybe it was to stop unhappy guests leaving?
However, the money I saved on accommodation I spent on an iTouch...hahaha!

Very friendly staff and rooms are very basic just a sink and bed and tv and small fridge. Suit youngsters and all those that want a cheap area of New York. Top of central park not far away and metro 1 block away plenty of shops near metro for a family that does not mind very basic that is fine but at least 8 stations north from time square on 103rd street.

Was very wary of what we were going to find when we arrived as we had read some awful reviews after booking but was very pleasantly surprised. The accommodation was very comfortable if you are just wanting a cheap place to lay your head after a full days shopping in the big city, plenty of hot water although the radiator in the bedroom was very noisy for the first 2 days. Bathrooms were clean but were in need of modernising. The lift was out of order but the staff were very helpful with helping with the luggage, and there were storage lockers should you need them. Subways are very handy as was a diner at the corner which I fully recommend. I have no hesitation in recommending this studio or using it again.Just beware that it is uptown quite a bit but downtown is within reach via the subways.

Budget accommodation, basic needs will be met with no extras - clean and tidy, very close to subway into town, staff helpful with hotel problems but not up with local events happening in NY area.

For a cheap place to stay in New York, this is the perfect place. The Accomodation is basic, rough looking but Clean,Quiet, Safe with friendly, helpfull staff.
Bathrooms are cleaned regurly. No Air conditioning in our room though or communal kitchen facilities which was stated on the website.
Early morning coffee can be got at a local Starbucks, couple of minutes walk away. Along with easy access to the subway or Bus going straight through to time Square Area.
Would definatley stay again, when we are next in New York.
Ideal No fills accomodation
