Perfect location, charming comfortable room, and helpful, friendly staff. I will definitely go back to this hotel next time I stay in New York. The restaurant, too, was excellent.

This hotel is a little rough around the edges but if you're watching your budget is a great place to stay in the Big Apple.
A fantastic location for shoppers (the cool lower east side and Greenwich village are on your doorstep), bar flys (lots nearby) and handy for the underground etc.
The breakfast is a bonus (quick and simple).
If you haven't got $400 a night to stay in the luxe hotels, then this is a good bet.
