Does what it says on the tin

29 April 2008
Put it this way, it's not a hilton, and it's not 5 stars, but it was perfect for what we wanted it for. We were a group of 10 lads on a stag do, and for us it was perfect. We had 4 people in one of the rooms, and there was still plenty of room. Good sized balcony too. Pool are was excellent. Very nice. There were a couple of stag and hen do's in the place, but the staff put us all nea the top of the hotel so we didn't disturb the rest of the punters. Very thoughtful. Cheap as chips too which was nice. The only thing stopping me give it 5 stars is that the towels weren't changed for the 3 days we were there, but I would say go to the shop next door and buy a towel yourself for 2 euros.

A short Visit

18 January 2008
Some of our family were on holiday in the Flamingo Benidorm and we decided visit them. We booked the Vistamar apartments because they were close but our expectations were low, because it was cheap. We were pleasantly surprised. The accommodation was basic but it was clean, roomy and adequately equipped. It also had a large balcony. The staff were very helpful and polite, and a small problem with the TV was soon sorted out by a lovely man. The nights were chilly but there was extra bedding which we used, and heaters in the lounge and bedroom, which we didn't need. We found plenty of activity, entertainment and Internet access in Flamingo Benidorm just up the street. We would definitely stay there again.

Vistamar

05 July 2007
Just got back from a 10 day stay at Vistamar. Had a very good holiday, hotel was nice, yet bit dated and only got cleaned once in 10 days, however you do have a mop and bucket if you want to have a go at it yourself. towels werent changed until we asked but was not a problem when we asked reception. During the day there is a english receptionist which was very helpful. Could be a bit closer to the square and the sea. But if you dont mind a walk then its not a problem. we were on 18th, very noisey due to wind one night, but bonus- no mosquittos! Pool nice n clean however sunbeds arre quite uncomfortable and you have to pay 1.5 euros and remember to keep the ticket or they'll whip the bed out from underneath you!

Review of VISTAMAR

25 June 2007
We had two appartments - one for "a mature couple 50+" and one for our two children (20+). The appartments were just right for us but they are showing their age a bit. We were on 13th floor - good views, great breeze through the flat and, thankfully, the balcony was in shade (west facing). The pool area was good - clean, sunbeds, etc. You have to pay 1.50 euros for a sunbed which we thought was a bit cheeky. The reception staff were very helpful. Overall would recommend the apartments as long as you are not expecting luxury - a good basic place to stay with good cheap restaurants nearly.

The vistamar was very good value. There were 22 of us and no one had a problem with the hotel or staff . Rooms were basic but clean, maids were helpful although their english was limited. Reception staff were very helpful and could speak good english. 5mins walk from the square and all the bars.

yearly men only trip (14 in group)

05 April 2007
stayed at vistamar for our yearly 4 night trip 29th march - 2nd april, hotel nice and clean, staff very friendly and helpful as always, this was prob the 3rd or 4th time at this hotel it is rated 2* which is just about right, apts description say for up to 4 persons but unless 2 of them are small kids (only 2 beds in 1 room and 2 pull-outs in living room)they would struggle with 4 adults as we found out.Games room and bar were ok but didnt use them much.Small supermarket next door handy for bits and bobs.It has a good location close to the square ( if thats what you,re after, but be wise to pickpockets-which are rife)with a good range of bars and restaurants close by (wooky hollow 2 just down the rd is a very nice and friendly run pub, good range of snacks and meals at reasonable prices), beach is a 5 min walk down the road and old town about a 10 min stroll away.Any kind of entertainment can be found in benidorm, loads of showbars with plenty variety. All in all does exactly wot it says on the tin.

This was the first time I have used Alpharooms but it will not be the last.  The hotel was fantastic, the reception staff were all English speaking and very friendly and helpful.  We were given a room on the first floor which was great, the apartment was compact but the balcony was massive.  I would not hesitate to recommend the Vistamar and we will probably be going back there this year.  For a cheap and cheerful christmas holiday it was great.  Thanks

My family travelled on 20th dec 06, we were all inclusive and were told Flamingo Benidorm and Vistamar were all in 1 complex. I was so disopointed to find we had to walk about 700yards to the hotel with our 3 children, the youngest only aged 3. When I asked to be moved I had to pay another 240euro and could only stay until 26th as the hotel was booked out.We all had a super time only until we had to return to the vistamar for the last 2 nights, it was so cold that my kids all had to sleep in their track suits, there was a gap of 1 inch at the bottom of the door and when we lifted the heater that hardly worked, out ran a cockroach. Never again at the vistamar. Thank god we ate at the hotel.

I knew once i was given a first floor apartment that i was going to enjoy this holiday! The staff on the reception were so helpful, rooms were not huge but did have a massive balcony which made up for it! After reading some bad reports i was a bit wary, but i dont know what people expect of a 2 star apartment. These apts are in an ideal location, only a 5 min walk from "calle lepanto" which is a main  street in Benidorm where there a lot of family bars and entertainment. They were clean and shared a lovely big pool with the next door apartments. At the end of the stay we were allowed to keep our room on for an extra few hours for only 10 euros! I have been to Benidorm many times before and these apartments were definitely value for money and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! They are not 5 star but they are not five star prices either!! If anyone is going to Benidorm please try the 24 mile DOWNHILL bikeride which is a fantastic day out and something a little bit different.Anyone with young families please try Churchills Pub as it is very family friendly and all the staff especially Gary the DJ  are a pleasure to meet! Thanks again Alpharooms for another lovely holiday!!

We stayed for a week in these apartments and were impressed by how spacious the room and especialy the balconies were. There were 4 people in our rom and although at times we did feel like we were all on top of one another it was a nice apartment. The staff were really friendly (witht the exception of the sunbed man who was not a people person!!). The pool area was really nice and the pool was a good size. It was close to the centre of Benidorms nightlife and would go again.

Review of 'VISTAMAR'

09 May 2006
I found the apartment to be bright and quite spacious in comparison to others I have stayed in. It was like a proper flat with a separate lounge/diner and kitchen, and a good sized balcony and a separate area for drying wet clothes. One minus was that there was no microwave. I liked the location as it wasn't right in the built up part of Benidorm so wasn't too noisey, but it was probably only a 7 minute walk to reach the main stretch. There was a nice grassy area surrounding the pool but not very many sunbeds. The pool wasn't heated and as I stayed there in early April, it was too cold to use. There wasn't a poolside bar either which was a shame. On the whole, I thought these apartments were good value for money and made a good base to stay.

holiday home

18 January 2006
we stayed here for fourteeen nights in January 06. Good sized and clean rooms, bedroom, lounge kitchen and utility. Nicely furnished with a large sunny verandah. Bar with happy hour each evening for socialising with other guests. Very  quiet with excellent reception service. The staff very helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble for them. Very close to the twice weekly market and also has a nice pool area, though we did not use the pool. Cleaning once a week, with towels changed twice weekly. We would have no hesitation in booking this apartment in the future.
