The Hotel Vistmar is situated right next to the beach at Hospitalet de L'Infant.
The room was very good with excellent powerful air conditioning. The balcony was a good size and provided a superb view over the bay. The beds were large and comfortable. The television had many Spanish and one German channel but no English language channels at all. The bathroom was ok and everything worked fine but the bath looked a bit tired.
The hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The Italian restuarant, which is part of the hotel, provided good food and again had very powerful air conditioniau. The restaurant staff did not generally speak English but this was not a problem. The car park was easy to get into but not quite large enough to cope when the hotel was full. The Hotel is close to the centre of Hospitalet.
Hospitalet de Linfant itself is a small, quiet resort with a good sized beach and a smallish marina. It is very close to the main motorway from Barcelona and it has a reasonable train service. The lively resorts of Salou and Cambrils are less than 15 miles away along with the Port Aventura Theme Park.
