We have stayed at these bungalows for the last 3 years both in July and at Christmas through to the New Year. Accommodation is basic but clean, the staff are helpful and friendly and the location suits our needs for walking to night life and going to the beach. When we book we also ask for a bungalow in a particular area and they have always met this request.

You Get What You Pay For

These bungalows are very reasonably priced - we paid less than £20/night in June 2008 - but you get a standard of accommodation that reflects this. We stayed in a one bedroom "bungalow" with bathroom and a lounge/kitchen area, which was spacious but basic. It was fairly clean, though not spotless, and could have done with a lick of paint to brighten it up. The furniture was functional, if a little worn.
The pool area is however lovely and is the complexes redeeming feature. It is well maintained and the pool is a good size, with plenty of sun beds around the sides. We ate lunch in the restaurant by the pool, which was fine and obviously convinient.
The staff that we dealt with were all welcoming and helpful.
In summary, it offers good value, basic accommodation. However, those seeking 5 Star luxury should look elsewhere.

Overall, good hotel

I stayed there for one week during easter holiday. We booked bungalow which has two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom. It was quite big space for two of us although the furniture is quite old. One thing bad is you have to put coins to watch TV which I didn't expect. Cleaning is not bad, it is not everyday though, the staff is okay and the pools are heated so that you can even swim in the night. Of course, this has good location, close to shopping centers and bus stations, etc.

It has quite good location.
The staff is helpfull.
The Cleaning is not too good.
The food is average(buffeysection, did not try resturant).
Beds was hard, we woke up every time we turend over!
Minimarked is close, internett and wending machines are in the reception.
Tv need money to work!!

The Best Value for money

Having now stayed here 6 times in four years I cannot fault the place. Whilst the accomodation is basic, the amenities and staff are excellent. You are situated in a quiet area, away from any traffic or noise, but only a 10 minute walk to all the nightlife, restaurants and a short 5 minute taxi to the beaches of Maspalomas or Playa del Ingles. The Swimming Pool is cleaned every morning and plenty of room to lazy around. The place is always near on fully booked but there never seems to be too many people around. All in All a lovely place to relax during the day and whatever you want in the evenings.

Review of Vista flor Maspalomas

Arrived home from Gran Canaria feeling very satisfied with the vista flor and our holiday. arrived on the 26 nov 2007 for a 17 night stay the vista flor is a very clean complex with what they call Bungalows even though they have an upstairs. just a few steps to get up to the Bathroom & bedroom. we had maid service every day of some sort empty the bins every day cleaning done every 3rd day new towels every other and linen twice weekly. the place is keeped very well. from the moment we arrived to the end of our stay all the staff werre very friendly and welcoming. lovely pool area with a large pool and resteraunt and bar next to it. did'nt really use either but seemed to be plenty of entertainment going on there if you like to stay within the complex at night. we go to playa del ingles at night a taxi ride there is only 2 euros. and they are plentyfull be advised that on the wkend they raise there fares by 50 cents and also after midnight. The only draw back with the vista flor was there was no kettle or toaster in the apertment they come at extra cost but easy enough to boil some water in a pan also the safes are not in youre room they are in a room in the main reception area they do not come cheap average for 1wk is 23 euros we payed 48 euros for the 17 days which worked out at around £35.00. but its a must you need to keep your money and other expensive belongings safe. there are 2 super markets close by a little mini market just to one side of the duna flor next door a larger one in the duna flor itself where you can get most anything and there is Faro 2 centre a short walk away where you'll find bars resteruants and all the shopping you want and with a reasonable suppermarket. You'll find the Beach and Dunes a good way from the vista flor but there is a free bus put on for the Beach we always walk to the dunes very pleasant in the sunshine all very flat and easy to walk. if you want to walk to playa del ingles its just a short walk up the hill or if you like there are steps that will take you up near the visitors centre. Will be staying at the vista flor again we have been going to maspalomas for a long time and could'nt fault the place. there is a very good Inian In playa called the Daytona. and also give a visit to Moby Dicks in Playa they do a feast of the nicest fish & chips your likely to get.all in all highly Reccomended

great time

just back from vista flor with my husband and 4 children of which 2 are teenagers, we all had a great time. The only problem we had was there was alot of Spainish holiday makers who we found some of them to be very rude we were told that alot of spainish people take there holidays in August, So i would advise anybody not to go in August but apart from that vista flor is a wonderful place. Our apartments were spotlessly clean. It was in a great location close to Playa del ingles if you want the night life but quiet enough for a relaxing holiday. Food and entertainment at vista flor was excellent.We are planning to return to vista flor next year i would strongly recommend these apartments to anyone.

Unexpected joy

Upon arriving to the area, I was surprised by the value for money that this apartment provided. The room was very clean, fresh towels and bedding everyday and, for my wife, a very spaceous wardrobe! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The entertainment was also 'top drawer'. Although we opted to eat near the Faro most evenings, we did sample the food at the complex and it was very, very tasty! In a nutshell, we will be returning next year. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Review of VISTAFLOR

We were a group of 52 who stayed in the Vistaflor in January 07. We booked our 24 apartments with Alpharooms who looked after our booking exceptionally well. Vistaflor Apartments are clean and basic and as price was important good value for money. The apartments are spacious but only suitable for two people as if there is a 3rd person sleeping downstairs it is difficult not to disturb them. The apartments are ideally situated between Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas and Melonares so there is great variety in shopping and entertainment. The staff are most friendly and helpful and speak good english. The buffet restaurant downstairs provides a good breakfast and evening meal at reasonable prices and the main restaurant and bar has a good menu that is a little more expensive. There is an hour long variety show every night which was always very entertaining and music and dancing till 1am when the bar closes. There were various darts, bowls, and pool competitions in the daytime and a good lunch menu served by the pool. We found the Vistaflor Apartments were ideal for our group and wouldnt hesitate to recommend them.

The accommodation is a little "tired" but clean and comfortable. The dining situation is a little sparten but filling enough. I would say the B+B option or self catering (room only) are the best options.There are plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is situated a long way back from the road. But this means it is very quiet at night but difficult to find because of its situation. However if you use a Taxi you will have no problems. The pool area is excellent. The bar prices are a little expensive but this is normal in hotels. Use a local bar for value for money. I would say that this hotel offers excellent value for money and lets face it how much time are you going to spend in your room rather than the sunny terraces or other places of interest. You cannot be bored in Maspalomas but at this hotel you are away from the noise you may get in other accommodation. If you want good cheap accommodation close to all amenities this is the place for you.

Stayed in the Vista Flor with my wife and daughter. Apartment very comfortable but could have done with some painting as walls were quite dirty. Otherwise we had a lovely week. We found the staff exceptionally friendly. Reception area very comfortable, restaurant very clean and restaurant and bar staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

i stayed at the vista flor 11th october until 27th,i found no fault with my accommadation,the hotel staff were totally friendly and helpful,full maid service 3times weekly,the food at the buffet was great,it had something for everybodys taste buds,lovely large pool,plenty of sunbeds for all,the hotel bar had nightly shows which were wonderful and colorful,i will holiday again in gran'canaria,and i will be booking the vista flor again,it was beyon my expections

I´am living in spain. On behalf of my 60th birthday and because on the same date I get my pension from Holland, I organised a family reunion for my brothers and sisters. !0 persons. I got Vista Flor on recommendation from a friend from Germany. I saw your place and booked it inmediately.
The reunion was perfect and everybody was very pleased. But....they all kept talking about the perfect accomadation. They never had, during their holidays, such a friendly and nice accommondation. So clean so beautiful and so good organised.
They will talk about this vacation, during family partys, for years and and when they come again in Gran Canaria, they all said then we stay again in Vista Flor.
Thank you very much for your accommodation - it was one of the important things for a succesfull family reunion.

My freinds & myself really enjoyed our stay at Vista Flor, the apartments were very clean, tidy & optional to have them cleaned everyday. Staff were very pleasant & very friendly.
There was entertainment on day & night, large clean pool.
This was my second visit to Vista Flor & I am planning to retun in the future. I would recommend Vista Flor to anyone & book through alpharooms as I myself will be booking agian with them in the future.

The apartments themselves are very nice if not a bit basic. The maids come in every day and are very pleasant.
However, the pool is always jammed, people actually take the sunbeds and bring them to their apartments which I did not like. The service in the restaurant was appalling even though the food itself was quite nice. My biggest complaint would be the receptionist, a German lady (I think) who was the rudest person I have ever met. All the others were very nice but she seriously needs to look up the words customer service.
I did enjoy my stay but only because we were out and about so much. We rarely stayed at our pool because the sunbeds were gone from very early but I did like our little chalet. On saying all that, I would not stay there again.

Arrived at hotel at 6.30pm after taking a taxi from the Airport. Check in was smooth and easy. Finding our Duplex was difficult in the dark, but a kind German Couple helped us locate it. Once we were in we used the onsite Supermarket of which there were 2, that I found anyway. Well stocked with all the bits you would need. Accomadation is basic but very clean so no problems there. If there was one thing I would moan about, its that the curtains in the Bedroom upstairs are very thin and dont keep the sunlight out. So if you had a heavy night you would be woken very early with the sun shining through the curtains. All in all very clean and staff are friendly. Close to taxi rank just outside large supermarket on complex, taxis very cheap. Go to the Yumbo centre (Gay and Lesbian bars) for a night out, and have a few beers in Rickys Caberat bar, it was great fun, Very amuzing. Get a taxi down to the beach and sit in the beach side bars, and watch the world go by, great way to spend a few hours and catch some rays.

Vistaflor is excellent value for money.
The apartments are really conveniently located 15 minutes walk or 2.50 euros taxi to the main shopping and nightlife and again 30 minutes walk or 3 euros taxi to the beach. Local buses stop outside and these are cheaper than taxis.
The buffet breakfast represents good value for money.The resort staff are really friendly too.Lunches are good and the entertainment varied in the evenings.The pool is large and clean.
The apartments are basic and i think 2 adults one child would be comfortable but 4 adults would have to be very friendly! The apartments are clean. The only negatives are perhaps in July to Sept which is our very hot weather a fan would be nice in the rooms.
I recommend Vistaflor to my friends visiting Gran Canaria as it is conveniently located, friendly and economical.Many residents of the island including myself regularly use Vistaflor when visiting maspalomas.Its not 5 star luxury but friendly and good value.

As stated this is 2 key accommodation and so is basic. Butlins in the sun is my description so ideal for young family or as an overnight stop.
The 'bungalows' are 1 up and 1 down with a pull out double and single downstairs. There are 2 large pools and a bar/restaurant with a kiddies club and nightly entertainment.
This is very good value for the price.

Nice welcome on arrival, apartment basic, ok size pool, staff friendly. Good selection on menu of good quality food at reasonable prices. Taxi rank at top of road taxis very cheap and only 5mins journey to centre's. Only thing to fault would be the in-house entertainment - have seen a lot better - but there is so much to see and do in GC you don't need to stay in every night! Safety depostit boxes aren't that big but hold your passport,camera ,ipod or small camcorder. Pool room and drinks machines near reception which is manned 24hr. Mixed nationalities would go back and stay there again.
