Enjoyable Stay
31 July 2008
We spent four nights at the Vincci Lys. It was the most convenient city break I have been on with a direct Metro leaving from the Airport to Xativa just round the corner from the hotel. We had booked an Executive room including breakfast which was very good value. We had a large balcony/terrace with rooftops view, which we actually didn't use as it was too hot! It was on the 5th floor and extemely quiet. The room was spotless and spacious if unexciting decor wise. The highlight was the large marble bathroom which appeared brand new and very clean and shiny. It even had two showers. Only complaint was that the mini bar was advertised and confirmed by reception as being included but feeling unconvinced about the alcohol I checked and was told it was non-alcoholic drinks only. (Could have caused an argument on check-out.) Our included breakfast was of excellent quality and staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The hotel was a good base with all the city centre sights close by and shops and restaurants on the door step. Don't stay here though if you want any kind of facilities - there aren't any. The "bar" was just a small counter in reception which I never saw anyone use or indeed even catch sight of a barman!

Magnificant Valencia
07 July 2008
We had a fantastic time in Valencia. The hotel is in an excellent location and takes only 20 mins on the metro from the airport and is a very short walk from the metro stop. A taxi back to the airport cost us 15 Euros. The foyer of the hotel is welcoming and the helpfulness of the staff is variable depending on who you happen to get. Two members of staff was very warm and helpful, the other guy looked blank and helpless when I asked him a question! The hotel is a bit souless and we didn't really want to spend any time there but the most annoying thing was how unbelievably noisy it was. I specifically requested a quiet room and when the noise started (noisy pipes, kichen noises, grinding noises as if there was a guy drilling in the next room) I thought I must be dreaming - but no, it happened every other night - perhaps we were unlucky!! The bathroom was clean and the bed sheets were nice and white but the dust in the bedroom was so bad that my eyes swelled up (and they have never ever done that before). I loved Valencia and we want to go back there very soon, but we will not stay at that hotel despite how great the location is. One final point - beware of the bar/cafe - Baldon - it's close to the hotel (next stree along -but - aggressive waiter and we were in dispute because they overcharged us 10 euros. We loved the bus tour (leaves from outside the cathedral and we had some tasty food down the beach (get the number 19 bus from beside the bull ring).

The hotel was very central and not far from any of the attractions of Valencia. The rooms were good and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Valencia is a lovely city and we will definitely return. We would definitely recommend the hotel if you like to be near the centre and near a metro station particualry if you fly into Valencia because you can get the metro from the airport to a station near the hotel and it takes just 20 minutes

Wonderful Holiday January 2008
31 January 2008
We have just spent seven nights in this lovely hotel. The rooms were just perfect so clean , comfortable and everything we needed even including a pillow menu.
The staff were very friendly and some spoke very good English.
Valencia is a beautifull city so much to do and see with the Vincci lys being in the perfect spot to walk to the numerous restaurants and tapas bars with all the excellent food. The only downside to the hotel was the restaurant did not open till 8.30pm in the evenings . but it was no problem with all the places to eat outside.
We shall definently stay there again without a doubt.

Fantastic Break
21 January 2008
Absolutely fantastic hotel in the heart of Valencia. Close to the main touristy part of the city within walking distance of most places of interest. Lots of places to eat nearby. Tapas Bar right opposite. Close to Metro. Hotel very bright and cheerful. Helpful staff. Beautiful rooms although some do not have much of a view (ours faced a big wall) but this was compensated by peace and quiet. Mini bar in room. Beautiful bathroom. This hotel really made our stay perfect. Nice buffet breakfast. Beach is about 30 mins away by metro/tram for less than 2 Euros.

Vincci Lys - Lovely hotel
20 November 2007
Fantastic central location, really close to the metro station. The hotel is exceptional for a 3*, very clean and spacious rooms and the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We had breakfast one day as room service, it arrived at the time we requested it and the food was ok although I am glad we didn't book in for B&B as it is quite pricey. Overall, I would recommend Valencia and the Vincci Lys hotel, we had a brilliant long weekend.

Review of 'Vincci Lys'

hotel was lovely clean and tidy ,with very nice staff the room was large and very tastefully decorated - we only had breakfast in the restaurant at the hotel which was buffet and was good quality, the only quibble with the room was with laminated flooring you quite often heard chairs scraping ,but that is just being a bit picky. would recommend it and stay there again.

Review of 'Vincci Lys'
20 February 2007
We love Valencia and have stayed here 3 times.Good for all ages It is in a great location and is quiet but so central. There are plenty of eating places very close. Cant comment on the food we have never tried and failed to find an inclusive deal for breakfast. I could nt find a reason to pay 14e plus tax. Recommended without hesitation. The bus stops for the Science Museum just round the corner but you could miss this so ask.

Good location, near enough to walk from the station with a heavy suitcase within a few minutes. Hotel is on a pedestrionised street which means that although centreal and near to all the attractions the rooms are quiet. The hotel was very clean, the room good in size, the staff friendly and the breakfast very good. I'll be going again!
